Andy's Pipe Dream

, Morning of 8-18-14 head the sump pump running consistently with no water discharge. Disconnected from electric power, went to Angie's List, contacted Andy's Pipe Dream. Explained the problem and said although not over flowing presently, I was feeling anxious and wanted to know if they could come to my home to fix the problem. I knew by noon that they would come first opening between 4-6. Arrived same day about 4:00 pm. Chad J, employee sent, was very friendly. He evaluated the discharge system to ensure it wasn't a block drain. After determining that it was not , evaluated the sump pump and stated could see about possible repairs. Stated they recommend replacing those over 7 years old. Since my pump was 10 + years, I decided to replace the pump. Chad replaced the pump and left the area clean and neat. The new pump is quiet and efficient with a 3 year warranty. I was impressed that my water problem was addressed before the end of the day, felt the service was excellent and the installed price was acceptable. I recommend others use Andy's Pipe Dream. I will use them in the future.

Our tech was excellent. He fixed the flange in a decent amount of time. No issues with this plumber.

Water would "gush" out of the pipe in the wall under the sink when the faucet was turned on. Literally a water fall of water, not a trickle so immediate repair was needed. This wasn't the pipes that are directly under the sink; this is the main pipe in the wall behind all that sink pipe works. I called Andy's Pipe Dream at 9:00am and talked with the answering service and was told I'd get a call very soon. I got a call back from Andy himself 6 minutes later. They were on top of it! I told Andy my kitchen pipe problems and he said they had a 1:00-3:00pm window open that same day so I took it. We were heading out for a lunch around 10:30am and the plumber Chad assigned to our work called; he was done with his customer and wanted to know if we would be interested in him looking at the problem now or waiting for the 1-3 window. We took the now option and he said he'd be over around 11:30am. We grabbed a quick take out lunch and headed back home. Chad was on time and I showed him the issue with the free flowing water under the sink in the wall. Chad wrote up a proposal with his best guess as to what he could encounter with the repair. Since it is in the wall; it's hard to tell what may need to be done until the wall is opened up and the problem inspected. He was very thorough in his explanation of the work to be done and what he might run into. Chad is very knowledgable about plumbing and had a very honest and sincere approach to our questions. He also gave us a quote for putting in a new faucet and sink. Ours is pretty old and after the repairs are finished we want to get them replaced. The work was a little more difficult for Chad than he expected but the damage was less than what he originally quoted us (good news for us). The pipe under the sink in the wall was rusted and totally opened up; he had to struggle with the small area but got it repaired. He did a fantastic job making the opening to the pipe in the wall - very clean and professional - not just ripped open. Then Chad went to the basement and augured the drain which was clogged causing the water to flow out of the broken pipe area under the sink. After the pipe was free flowing again he went back to under the sink and repaired / tightened all the pipe works under there. He had noticed that some of the connections where not tight and some of the pipes where not installed correctly. This fixing of the pipes under the sink was not part of the quotes; so Chad was going the extra mile which was wonderful. Once he cleaned up the work areas he sat down and wrote out the invoiced based off of the proposal. He was very professional and made the experience easy on us. We got some suggestions for brands to buy and brands to ignore for faucets and sinks. We'll be calling Chad back to have those installed in the next few weeks once we buy the parts.

We purchased a new, double-oven, gas range to replace our old electric. We had three companies come in and look at the job: Out of the three, only Chad at Andy's gave us a bid that encompassed the full scope of the work to be done. (One of the three never even came back with a quote.) The other firm took 3 days to get a bid done, then the scope of work quoted was not adequate. Chad was prepared with code books and pricing. After he looked at what needed to be done, he sat down with us, double checked code books to be sure we were getting adequate gas service, and we also learned we needed a larger meter. We had a complete quote before he walked out the door. He explained the permit/inspection/meter replacement process to us so everything went smoothly. He even came by for a quick review the day before the scheduled service to make sure he would have everything he needed. He showed up on time, worked a long day and finished the next day as scheduled without any snags or need to leave and get parts. We just purchased this home in March and were unaware that the gas running to the tank-less water heater had been improperly installed. We are very grateful we found Andy's and Chad. This job wasn't cheap -actually more than we'd anticipated going in, but now we feel much more confident in getting through the winter with our stove, furnace, water heater, and fireplace operating safely and correctly.

Great... Plumber came to the house for a walk through--gave a price and scheduled the work for the following week. He was great at explaining the two choices we had in doing the work.

We've used Andy's three times but this is first time I'm giving them a review. The plumber was professional and knowledgeable. Prices were clear before work began. He was upfront about what to expect and about other issues that could come up. Luckily, he only found one issue instead of three, but it was nice to know before hand. We've also had Andy's out to give us quotes on other potential issues. The plumber was straightforward and honest that the work could be done at a later time and we weren't pressured. We definitely plan to use Andy's again and have recommended them to our neighbors.

Was very quick and friendly. I asked questions about other plumbing issues and Chad was very knowledgeable about everything I wanted to get done. I have total confidence in this company!

They are going to do what needs to be done and will not try to get extra work from you. They were friendly and very easy to deal with.

Chad was scheduled to be here at 8 a.m.He was right on time.He went straight to work and worked almost 8 hours and the only break he took was for lunch and that was maybe twenty minutes.I believe I heard his phone ring once.That is almost unheard of these days.Our basement is pretty good sized so he had to replace a lot of pipe.Chad is very detail oriented.He doesn't guess at anything.He does everything by the book.He put cleanouts where they should be and sloped pipe for drainage exactly as it should be.He always kept us informed as to why he did things the way he did. Being business owners,we know first hand the difference an excellent employee can make.We were glad to he was the one that did our plumbing. When he was done,he cleaned the basement floor better than he found it. Andy's was around five hundred cheaper than the other company we took a bid from.One company wouldn't even come out after they found out we were taking bids on the job.So glad they didn't. We are very happy with the job Chad did.

Chad came to the house promptly as promised. The pipe ran up the side of the basement, behind some drywall. Chad creatively replaced the pipe without having to rip out the drywall and guaranteed the job for two years. It was the most professional service job I have seen in ages. Will DEFINITELY hire this company again for ANY of my plumbing needs.

They are very responsive, easy to schedule and to get on the phone, and very nice and personable. The only problem is that the company's prices really don't seem proportionate to the work. I understand from their responses to the other reviewers here that they aren't interested in comparing their prices to what other people charge, and that's certainly their right, but just beware. Our repair involved replacing one small section of PVC pipe. It took about 15 minutes and we paid $175 ($157 after the AL discount), That wasn't great, but the real surprise was in a couple of estimates they gave us - nearly $400 to replace a perfectly standard bathroom faucet (this does NOT include the faucet, which we already had) and a P-trap! and $465 to move a gas line four feet. We ended up paying someone else $115 to do the faucet and P-trap, and the whole thing took less than an hour. If convenience and scheduling are more important to you than price, this is your company - they will get out there fast and do the work, they are nice to deal with, and it's great that they actually answer the phone. But if you're on a budget, be sure to get another estimate before you have anything done.

I called on Saturday afternoon not expecting to speak with anyone. The phone was answered and my message was going to be passed on for someone to call me back. Andy called me back a little while later and I explained the situation. He told me to try plunging the drain first before I had him come out. Sure enough that did the trick. He could have easily made a quick trip to my house and charged me for something I did quite easily on my own. His honesty and responsiveness just made me a customer for any future plumbing needs i have.

Andy's was quick and responsive, told us when serviceman was coming/running behind...essentially keeping us updated with what was happening. When the Andy's serviceman arrived and saw the excessive water...he discussed the problem with my husband and suggested the various products/disposals to choose from...so we could decide how much to spend. After installing and checking the new disposal , he ended up being here about an hour and left a very thorough invoice, cleaned up, and was an overall nice guy and a professional.

He made the repair and was in and out in an hour. The service went very well. He was very professional while in our home.

Chad arrived on time and quickly found the problem in the attic. He replaced the sleeve, fixed the toilet and was very courteous and efficient. Would definitely use for future plumbing issues.

This is the second time I've used Andy's Pipe Dream. They are courteous, prompt, and thorough. Andy called to let me know his realistic time frame for getting someone out to look at the faucet. When I told him it was leaking pretty badly, and had been for several days, he told me what to do to slow the drip flow if I didn't want to call a different company. Then Chad called on the appointment day to let me know he was on his way. He looked at the faucet and explained some options, starting with the least expensive, which I definitely appreciated. He worked quickly and quietly, and kept everything clean, even though he was working outside in the rain. When he finished, he took the time to answer a question about a different problem and to give me a price estimate on it. I highly recommend Andy's Pipe Dream.

Chad was scheduled to arrive between 4 and 6 p.m. but called to reschedule because of a snag in an earlier job. He asked if 7 o'clock was acceptable and we agreed. He called later and said he could make it by 6. and called again when he was 10 minutes away When he rebuild the faucets he suggested we simply replace them, but we opted for the cheaper alternative. No doubt any number of firms could have taken care of the problems, but in our expereience this company is unique. Chad kept us fully informed of his expected arrival time, he did not high-pressure us into buying new product, he had all the required materials, he knew exactly what to do and got it right fhe first time.

The individual that came out was punctual, courteous and explained everything that he would do and did in great detail.I am very pleased with the results and I would definitely have them back to do any plumbing work I might have in the future.

Service began earlier than expected,which was nice. It did not take long to do all of the work. Service man was polite and explained everything well. I will call Andy's when we need more work done.

Very responsive. I called RotoRooter first and they couldn't come out until tomorrow, but Andy's Pipe Dream focused today on emergency calls because of all the rain. They were out within roughly an hour of my call.

Mr. Jurgensen did a great job! He took the time to explain everything to me and definitely was very knowledgeable and a very nice young man. He was able to fix my shower better than anyone else I had hired. I will definitely put him in my address book as the person to call for plumbing problems.

Chad came out and made minor fixes for a larger problem. They took the time to work through all the options of my larger issue. I was very impressed by their efforts and professionalism to arrive at a solution that was in my best interest.

My experience was excellent. The repair costed us $400. My husband was home when they came out. I've used them before and they are good.
