Andy's Pipe Dream

This was the third time I have used Andy's Pipe Dream and I plan to use them again for any future plumbing needs. This call was to remove a washing machine hose that had become corroded to the valve. Chad returned my call promptly and was able to give me an appointment at the time I requested. After assessing the issue he sat down with me and explained the best and worst case scenarios for repair along with estimates for both. He was able to quickly remove the hose and luckily did not have to go to the worst case scenario. I have been pleased with each repair made and am happy to have found a plumber I feel I can call for small or large jobs.

He's great. he's always polite,and on time, and does what I wanted, he never makes a mess (well if he does he cleans it up). I really like these guys and I trust them to do my plumbing work and not rip me off. They have been great.

This is the 4th time I have used Andy's Pipe Dream. Chad does great work and takes time to explain what he's doing. He is always prompt and friendly. It's great to have a plumber you can trust and not have to search everytime for someone to call.

He went through several issues with us and gave advice on fixing the issues and getting what we wanted while staying within our budget. So for example, we had two showers that were leaking and that we were thinking of fixing and/or remodeling. We actually ended up just fixing one while waiting on the other because we think we are going to do some more extensive work on it now that we have some prices. He was very nice and gave me a lot of help with thinking through what we want to fix and what we can do better.

Very quick repsonse and polite. The cost seemed a bit high for how quickly the work was done and the supplies (a very small piece of thin PVC piping, I think and a small valve). We received a discount for being an Angie's List customer that was 15%, I believe. The price above reflects the post-discount price. Would recommend and use again.

Emailed on a Sunday and received an email back promptly with two options for Monday. Work was scheduled. Chad called and said he would be a bit early. That worked great for me. He gave prices for 3 items. I felt all three were high so only chose to do the immediate need of the repair. $300 for a new hose bib, replacement of 1' section of pipe and another 1' section of PEX. That included the 10% discount and no truck fee for being an Angie's list member. Work took less than an hour. Assuming parts cost $100 with mark up (which I'm guessing it was around $50 actual cost) that means I got charged $200 an hour. Quality of the works seems fine. It just seems very expensive. I was at work during the repair so I wasn't able to talk with the technician and find out why it was so high.

I love this company. They are always so prompt and Chad is patient and explains things and I just think they are the best. I have used them 3 times I always have a pleasant experience.

Chad at Andy's Pipe Dream is my go-to guy for all of my plumbing needs, He is prompt, professional and absolutely trustworthy. I first used him several years ago to repair a second story bath tub drain that was leaking into our family room. Since then he has repaired a gas feed to a fireplace that was leaking gas; solved a utility drain problem; replaced the insides of a troublesome toilet. Before he begins the work, he always explores and prices out options. I know exactly what I will pay before I authorize the work. I find his prices fair and reasonable and the quality of his work exceptional.

It took less than a day. He was very good.

It went extremely well. I called the company at about 6:30 a.m. Within about 10 minutes I received a call from Andy who took information about the issue and set a 8:00 a.m. appointment. Little before 8 a.m., the plumber showed up and identified himself as Chad. He was very personable. He inspected the plumbing, provided me a written proposal, which was reasonable, and completed the work with my authorization. He was done very quickly and cleaned up after himself taking the old galvanized pipe away. He asked me how I heard about them and I said Angie's List. He said, good you get a 10% discount. I have used various Angie's List and none them ever mentioned the discount with out a prompt from me. Excellent work and a class act organization!!!

They were absolutely marvelous! Our technician, Chad, showed up on time, was courteous, and did great job.

I called their main phone number on Friday afternoon, and got a call back from the owner in about 5 minutes. We scheduled an appointment for between 4pm-6pm on the next day (Saturday!), and agreed the technician would call ahead before heading over. Chad called within the window, and showed up as expected. I explained the problem - a very slow kitchen sink that had recently started to flow even slower. He guessed that there would be debris in the filter at the head of the faucet, and sure enough there was plenty of debris when we took it off. He explained that the cheap builder-grade turn valves degrade over time, and the pieces that break up in the lines get caught and slow down the flow. We agreed the solution would be to replace the 3 valves (hot, cold, and dish washer), and flush out the lines. The work was done in about 30 minutes, and water from the faucet had never flowed so well!! Chad is professional and courteous, and I would use this company again.

As usual, Chad was professional, on time, and so competent. It's amazing. He did a fantastic job and this was after two different companies told us they "could not" remove the old dishwasher. Chad got it out! Chad rocks! It's true that Andy's Pipe Dream is not the least expensive plumber around but they are also not the most expensive either. This kind of competence is worth paying for and I think considering their reliability and responsiveness, well worth their price and a very fair price at that.

We scheduled Chad to unclog our basement drain. First of all, it is important to note that he was clearly battling a tough cold AND IT WAS CHRISTMAS EVE. This did not stop him from being very considerate and doing a fantastic job! He arrived promptly and provided a thorough assessment of our drain issues. He also shared his expertise in response to several other plumbing questions. He augured the heck out of the drain and also gave some great tips and affordable estimates on ways to improve our water shut-off. We also asked for his advice on detecting a sewer gas smell that had been driving us crazy since we bought our house 3 years ago. The stench was powerful at times but we couldn't find the source. We have talked to a handful of plumbers in the past and were never given any strong leads on how to remedy the issue without first undergoing an $800+ smoke test. Chad mentioned this as an option, but he also said we could consider reseating our toilet despite the fact that it did not appear to be loose or leaking. He then shared stories of some tricky gas detection jobs from his past and acknowledged that the answer is often not easy to find. We wavered over idea of paying for something that may or may not fix the problem, but we decided to go for it based on his insight and reasonable estimate. He pulled up the toilet, discovered evidence of a small leak, replaced some rotten parts, and was done in no time. It has been 2 months since his service, and we have not smelled any gas since!! It was a Christmas miracle!! Thanks, Chad.

The man and the work were very good but they are extremely expensive. I can’t afford to have them back. If I’d have them do what I was going to have them do, the price would be $500 which was at least double for what I expected. It’s quality work but it’s a little too rich for my taste. I won’t be having them back. They did a really good job. The service was really good and they were prompt but the price was just so high.

Service provider gave customer cost-effective ideas to correct the problem and the quality was excellent for the price of services.

I thawed it out before the appt time ,& when Chad got there we could not find a leak. Because I was afraid of busted pipes in the garage(like last year when we were gone )I had him give me a quote on replacing the copper pipe in that area with Pex.. He gave me a quote & was adding some much needed shut off valves in 2 places.I thought it a fair price & he set an apt for the following Mon. a.m. Before he left he went back to check again for a leak & found it to be my straddle valve to the icemaker, which he assured me, he would put a better shutoff valve there, He was very prompt & was there by the set time. Went straight to work & in about 2 hours was done .He did a very nice job & I feel like it was money well spent. I will definitely refer Andys to my friends & family.

Chad installed a shut off valve and quick connect for our new gas grill. We had a gas line stubbed in under the deck so it did not involve much distance, but he did have to drill through the deck to bring the gas up. This involved shutting down the gas to the house. Chad was excellent to deal with, the price was right, and we are very pleased with the service.

Chad Jurgensen finished the job prior to ours early & called to see if he could move our appointment up. His appearance & demeanor was that of a professional. He's very personable & listened to the events that had taken place. (My husband had repaired a leak in the toilet water line & reset the toilet). Despite that, the leak continued. Chad cut a couple of sections of drywall out to get a better look. Initially he really felt that the leak might have been fixed, & the dripping & water staining was residual water having pooled in low spots. He used a towel to soak up the water laying on top of the drywall. The leak continued & a little more drywall needed to be taken out. Then he was able to see it - a pin hole with a strong, very thin stream of water. It looked like a cobweb, just like one that was close by. In short order he had it fixed. We had him also fix a pipe in the bath shower which had corrosion around it. Then he cleaned everything up & we settled the bill.

The cost was free. Because they were able to come out and look at something to evaluate the problem I thought I had and because of the distance and since we are Angie’s List customer, they waived that charge. As it turned out, we did not need their help. They were very thorough in explaining what they were doing and what charges would be if we use them. There were things that we could do on our own. If we had a problem, they let us know what to do and there was no charge. They are trustworthy and professional.

That was great. He was timely about it and I didn't have problems with the timing. I knew that I was going to have to pay more because, I knew that I had a plumbing problem. He was very informative and told me the difference between drain that I had and the quality of the drain that he was putting in was much better.

My initial call was handle promptly and professionally. Andy then called me back within the hour. He game me several different appt times and I was able to pick the one that worked best. On the day of the appt, I received a call to say they were on their way. He was able to identify and fix the problem quickly. I appreciated their professional and friendly manner of taking care of their customers.
