My husband was not able to get ahold of them for 2 weeks. The offer was for 2 hours of lawn mowing at 2 separate times. They told us they don't have push mowers so they can't mow the backyard because of the fence (standard chain link fence) They said they would trim the bushes in front in order to make up for not mowing the back yard. This morning someone came out and trimmed 4 bushes in front but did not mow the front yard! We called them again and we were told they don't mow only front yards! Nothing has been mowed!! Shouldn't a lawn service include mowing the lawn?!! They haven't followed through with this offer that has been paid for.
Description of Work: This was for a special offer through "Morgan's Deals". $39 for two professional lawn mowings ($80 value).

Response from A Cut Above Lawncare and Landscaping
The members contacted me mid July about mowing their lawn in Gardner. I told them we could provide the service no problem and the member said the lawn didn’t need to be cut for a week. Towards the end of the conversation he mentioned to me that his gate was smaller than the standard chain link fence gate which is approx. 38 inches. The smallest mowers we have are 36 inches, reason being that in the 12 years I have been in business we have had 3 properties ever that we have not been able to service due to a fence gate size. This is why we do not have push mowers because of the extra maintenance that it would take to keep one up to A Cut Above standards that we would not be able to mow for him I did offer to provide any other service that would be $80 worth i.e. trim shrubs, clean up beds, pull weeds, etc. He agreed that we could trim the bushes for them so they could get their monies worth off the Morgans Deal. (A Cut Above will allow its Morgans Deals customers to use their coupons for more than just mowing, which most people love.) The bushes got trimmed and I got a complaint phoned call later saying how we didn’t mow the lawn, which is true, we did not mow the lawn, we had agreed upon another service instead since they had an unusually small gate to their backyard. Upon receiving the phone call I asked if there was anything else that I could do to help resolve the situation or possibly provide another service as well since they didn’t feel that they got their monies worth. I believe the words I used were “if you do not feel you got your monies worth, then tell me what I can do to make you happy.” There was nothing I could do to make them happy at this point and I later got an email about how they were bad mouthing my company to all their friends, neighbors, co-workers, family, Angie's List and the BBB. The whole issue would have been completely avoided had the fence been of normal standard size. I did not install the fence and make the gate small, which is why we had to come up with an alternative solution. I would loved to have been able to go out and just mow for them the two times and not have to deal with this issue whatsoever. I instead trimmed the shrubs that were agreed upon between myself and the member. Sincerely, Kevin Webster A Cut Above Lawn Care & Landscape
