Description of Work: Rebuilt my firebox on my insert. They did not give me a bill, as I am having them install a catalyst also and they would bill me when it was done.

chimney repair, fireplaces
+ 0 moreThey did do the initial repair as suggested by my insurance company. Obviously the repair was a poor one and the chimney fell off just as was about to make a fire, but never did on Christmas eve. They did come back out and repaired the chimney again . They left then later sent another bill. The chimney is still on, but I doubt that I will trust the repair as I would hate to have a fire going into my attic. The insurance company handled the payments . I could not recommend this company with out feeling guilty to another person. Do not let your insurance company tell you who to use.
Description of Work: Fireplace chimney was repaired November of 2009. A wind storm or tornado took off the outer chimney. The chimney had been on the house approx 8 years prior with out any problems and many times in wind storms of 60 mph or more with out any problems until the tornado took it off. After approx a month after being repaired, a wind of around or less then 40 mph took off the repaired chimney Christmas eve. The company did come back out in January and repaired the chimney again, then later after they left, sent me a bill in the mail for doing the repair again. All of this was paid by my insurance company, but I did receive the bill , That is how I know what was done.The second repair , I feel, I should not have been charged for the same repair that was just done. I now am afraid to use the fireplace at all because I would hate the chimney to come off with a fire going .

+ -1 moreIn early December Warming Trends came out to my home to estimate replacing an existing fireplace insert and I agreed with their estimate and scheduled an installation date. The day of installation Warming Trends appointment was for 10:00 a.m. At 10:20 a.m. the installers still had not arrived so I called them and was advised that the installers were still in the store and would be leaving soon. Approximately 45 minutes later the installers arrived and began the installation process. The installation went reasonably well and the installers were friendly but their tardiness of an hour from the scheduled appointment time was unacceptable and they offered no explanation or apologies. I cannot and will not recommend Warming Trends as they did not earn a recommendation or referral. Subsequent technical questions to their store, however, went well.
Description of Work: Purchased a wood burning stove fireplace insert. Warming Trends installed the insert.
