Description of Work: I paid for iPad repair in advance. Their website said walk ins were welcome, so I got there at the time they were supposed to open. Nobody was there. I waited for 25 minutes, then decided to make an appointment through their web site to see if that would alert someone and they would show up. I waited another 30 minutes. Meanwhile several other customers came to the door, found it locked, and walked away. One lady parked next to me for a while and told me she had been there for 2 hours the day before and nobody showed up. She called them and they told her someone would be in the day I was there. After I talked to her, I tried emailing both of their email addresses and leaving voice mail on their phone, asking them to get back to me to set up a time to fix my iPad. I never heard back. I cancelled my repair order through Groupon and got my money back.

On Tuesday, I took my computer in because I couldn't get past the log-in screen. First of all, the website is terrible and does not tell you that he's in a little office on the corporate floor. But I went there and Shane was sitting behind his two Mac screens and he took in my computer. He said that it would take two days to get a diagnosis and he'd call me. To be honest, 2 days is too long but after driving and finding his office which was not exactly easy because his website is not mobile, I said "OK." He said the diagnosis would take longer than actually fixing it so I took it in on a Tuesay, which would mean diagnosis on Thursday and fixed on Friday. Okay, cool. So I left. Two days come and almost go and I had not heard from him. I call him and he says that out of all of the versions of macbooks, he doesn't have something that he needs to fix mine. Okay, so my computer is 2 years old. But he says that he hasn't been able to diagnose it yet but will know something by Friday. So Friday comes and almost goes and so I call him around 3:30 and he says that he came in late and that he had my computer cracked open. He said he was personally working on it and that he would know something later that afternoon. Okay, so I call back at 5 p.m. and he's already gone. I leave a message and say that I really needed my computer but if he's open on the weekend or on Monday (it was MLK Jr. Day), then I would still like to know what's going on. I didn't hear from him on the 3 day weekend and so I called him on Tuesday afternoon and by now frustrated. I reminded him of the fact that he gave me his word and that he would call me on Friday and he keeps bringing up the fact that he supposedly called me on Monday. He kept cutting me off and then started lying on the phone because I guess he had an audience. He said that I was just mad and taking it out on him because my computer was not fixable. He also used everything I said to him and turned it around as if it was some discovery or assumption he was making. He then told me to come and pick my computer up. I work on a Fortune 500 technology floor and everyone heard him and called him a JERK. I drove immediately to get my computer and then called him out on his business integrity, lack of professionalism. Once again, Shane was sitting behind his big computer screens and there were a ton of computers that were not getting worked on. He brought up MLK Day and said that I must not have answered because it was MLK Day and said it in a way as if MLK Day is not a national holiday. I am black. He also said I was mean as if he was the victim. But I told him you are d*** straight I'm mean to anybody who is a liar. LYING happens to be my biggest pet peeve. I literally cannot stand anyone who is a liar. I told him that I was going to write a review about him on the internet and he said that I will deal with KARMA. I told him that I was on my way to meet Karma for some drinks and we were going to be talking about his a**. I told him that perhaps he is dealing with Karma because he's slow, incompetent, unprofessional, a liar, manipulative, and lazy. I told him that this conversation was so that he could IMPROVE his customer service and his entire service. I felt that he thinks that his selling point is that he's in one of those metallic buildings off of 110th and Metcalf on the 5th floor. But it makes no sense to be a computer repair company in a corporate building when he needs a real store front where he can do some work. He then decided to tell me about all of his positive reviews online but I just read on Facebook that he offers discounts and pays people to wrote reviews for him. So I wound up going to the Apple store and they diagnosed the computer within 40 minutes and then told me the repair would be $310 and completed within 3 to 5 days. iShane with MetroMacs, on the other hand, took 7 days to finally diagnose it and he still didn't know how to fix it. He told me that my computer was not reparable. So my advice, stay as far away from Shane and his lies.
Description of Work: It took 7 days to receive an actual diagnosis from Shane who said that my computer could not be fixed at all which is valued at $2500.

They seemed very professional over the internet where I booked my appointment. They provide email confirmations and appointment reminders. They told me they would call me by the end of the week to report their findings. They did not contact me. I ended up contacting them Monday. They told me they had no clue what the issue was and could not recommend any solutions. I was welcome to pick up my property anytime. They close ave 5 pm and like any normal person I work until 5 pm. I was unable to immediately pickup the item and then forgot. 2 months later I called to see if they still had it. As soon as I mentioned that it had be over a month the man who took my call informed me there is a 30 day law in Kansas that deemed my property abandoned. They were not responsible for my item after that 30 days. He then pretended to check and told me they no longer had it. He would not explain what they do with things after 30 days. No one informed me of the 30 day rule when I left my property with them. I did not like the immediately defensive nature. I actually fully understand what the man was telling me but the demeanor in which he addressed me was unprofessional and rude. He should have explained it differently.
Description of Work: I took them my Ipad to diagnose.
