We had bought a package at an auction at a local high school so this was a complex deal to begin with. It took a while to get our work on the schedule. I have to say that the waiting part was a little frustrating but I understand that we were getting a good deal so sometimes this is part and parcel of purchasing an auction package. Skip Hensler finally came over to take a look at the work and gave us an idea of what he thought might be involved. But then winter set in and we had to wait. We finally had the work completed this spring and I can tell you it was worth the wait. The sub contractors Skip brought in did a beautiful job on the concrete work. They worked solidly as much as they could to tear out the old stuff through some rainy periods, set up the forms, and then watched the weather to pour the concrete when they knew they would have a good window of opportunity for some sun to set it up. It turned out beautiful beyond my imagination. I have had a lot of work done to the house since then and every contractor who comes to the house comments on the beautiful driveway and walkway. Then Skip had additional dirt poured in the areas where landscaping had been pulled up and he had those same areas built up so we can replant and to protect the new concrete from water. He also added some extensions to the downspouts to move the water further away from the new driveway to protect the concrete. He thought of everything. The cost of the job came in higher than I thought it was going to be and this is not higher than the estimate but was a misunderstanding between what the school represented in the auction package we purchased and the cost. Skip really did his best to work this out. You cannot please everyone but I appreciated his attempt to try. He was great to work with and the quality of the work was truly AMAZING!

I could not be more happy with how this project was performed and how well it came out. Skip his guys are extremely easy to deal with. They do excellent work. This was a fairly major renovation that changed the whole roof line on the back of our house. The finished product is beautiful and it has really changed how I feel about the entire house.

The outcome was outstanding. Skip Hensler is the consumate professional. Like all projects, we encountered unexpected problems. Skip was always able to find cost effective work arounds. The project stayed on budget and on time. We love it and would recommend Hensler homes to anyone without reservation.
