We had the need for some windows to be replaced in our home. We obtained a referral for John and Zen Windows from a neighbor. The entire process was quick and very professional. John continued to inform us on the status of the windows and provided and kept a date for our installation. The workers were on time and did the quoted work and even did some repairs that were needed due to water damage from the prior window install. I’d recommend them to anyone who wants a quality product for a quality price! Great work and thank you John and Zen Windows. Well done. You’ve made a customer for life.

The crew was exceptional. They were very talented and polite. They cleaned up when they were through and went beyond our expectations. The windows are fabulous and if we ever need replacement windows for another home, we will call Zen Windows.

It was an easy choice for me to use Zen Windows after meeting John. In fact, I did not even get any other bids because I felt John was a man of integrity. Being a woman doing this process, it is very important to me to hire someone I feel comfortable with. Also, John has a really good install team. John completed a quick assessment of the windows that we wanted replaced and sent us an itemized quote, later that day, for the cost of the replacements. The peace of mind came when he advised us that any wood rot or other damage that his crew encountered on the job would be completely replaced and not just covered up. With the price he quoted and the knowledge that any damage would be replaced, it was a no brained for us to use Zen Windows. Everything about Zen windows made the process easy. From the online quote in under 5 minutes, to discussing options directly with the founder of Zen windows, to the installation, everything was very streamlined. First, Dan (Founder of Zen Windows) emailed me a quote based on a Google maps image of our home. Then, he continued to reply promptly (generally in under 5 minutes) to all of our emailed questions while we were considering which company to go with. After selecting Zen, their installation crew came out and measured the windows a day or two later, and told me that the windows would be available for installation in about 5-6 weeks. When the windows arrived, the crew came and completed the install in 4 hours. They replaced wood rot in the frames and the trim around the windows at no extra charge, and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. We will be hiring them again in the spring to replace the last 5 original windows on our home.

We are very happy with our new windows and the install went great. We will be hiring John and his team again when we are ready to replace more of our windows.

Wonderful work, on time, workers cleaned up all construction and cleaned both sides of window glass when done. Everything was professional and punctual. John and George are very friendly to work with!

Excellent! John is professional and was less "sales" and more direct with what they could do. The installers were quick, clean, quiet, and very professional. There was extensive wood rot that went beyond the windows and they fixed that without any charges for additional labor. Despite the wood rot, they finished on time and exceeded expectations. Additionally, we contacted five companies for our job. One was dropped during the contact process (they didn't call after an internal handover) The other estimates were 54K, 28K, and 24K. Zen's was 16K AND had the best reviews. Easy choice. Its amazing how well (and inexpensive) my project was when the installer doesn't have to budget for salesmen's commissions, advertising, and overhead staff. I am happy to recommend them to everyone.

John was very professional and personable. He was very quick to respond to our initial inquiry and we scheduled a bid right away. He answered all of my questions, but didn't waste our time. There were no high-pressure sales tactics, and he didn't require a deposit up front - that speaks volumes about his confidence in his product and service. His bid was very competitive, and he was flexible as we made some changes along the way. The products seem to be of high quality, and are a great improvement over our original builder-grade wood windows. They look good and function very well. As for his lead installer, George, and his crew - I can't say enough good things about them. Punctual, courteous, professional, and very hard-working. They didn't cut any corners and did a first-rate job. The first day, they worked about 11 hours and got 16 of the windows installed, then finished the job the second day. They cleaned everything up thoroughly. George paid attention to every detail, such as asking whether we wanted to use the original hardware on the back door so it would be keyed the same as our front door, and he also answered all of our questions. The actual job came in about $1,000 less than John's bid, as the materials cost for the wood rot repair was less than estimated. Part of this was because George and his crew were able to re-use some of the good boards that they removed as part of the repairs. It would have been easy for them to just discard all of the original trim and charge us for additional materials. We have about ten more windows to replace, which we'll do next year, and we will definitely be using Zen Windows.

One phone call and we had a quick 30 minute visit with owner John. Very low key sales pitch with an estimate emailed a day later. No high pressure "you must buy today" sales crap. It went very well and I was very please with the installation. The job was completed in a day and was excellent quality workmanship. I would recommend Zen Windows for all your window needs. Top notch!

The installers were there even a little early. It took about 5 hours for the installation of the 11 windows. They hauled away all the old windows and cleaned up and swept away any debris. I left them there to do the work and I went to my office. They called me when they were about done and I met them to inspect the work. All went very well.

John was quick to get me color sample, quote me and have his team out to measure the windows. I have used zen windows in our previous home and replaced all our windows. The install crew was very professional, here when they said they would be here and very good. They finished and cleaned up like they were never here. The lead Mgr George even took time tolook at another window after finishing. They are excellent at what they do and could not have been happier. If you want a good company and install with high quality windows at a great price this is the right company. They always are very good at addressing any concerns. One of the best contractors I have ever had to work for us.

From the initial consultation to the finished product, I could not have been happier! John was punctual, thorough, and knowledgeable during my first meeting with him. His bid came in promptly, as promised, and VERY reasonably compared with other vendors. Then when George came out to measure, I knew I was in good, reliable hands for the installation. On installation day, George and crew came promptly when they promised, began work immediately and was completed in an efficient and timely manner. They did an excellent job. Zen Windows workers/employees were very professional. They finished the job in a short time. The quality of the door and windows were excellent and at a reasonable price. John Sims knows his products very well. They also replaced the screen on my deck sliding door without charge. Kudos to this company. They are very good and a reputable company.

It started when I called John Simms on a Saturday and he answered his phone. I had a good idea of the scope of work, window type/brand, etc. and he took my name/number to schedule measurement. His foreman Jorge called me within a few days, scheduled and performed a measurement. John provided me an estimate on the same day. I agreed to the work, and the windows were ordered, which took about four weeks. Once the windows were in, John sent me an e-mail to schedule installation, which was about a week later. The installation had to be changed by one day since the wheel bearing went out on the installation trailer. Other than that, I would use Zen Windows again. Very polite, professional and responsive. The crew cleaned up their mess and there was almost no construction dust.

Zen Windows are very customer friendly from the estimate to the installation. They took the time to answer all of our questions, provide referrals and address so we could see their work. Once we decided to go with Zen Windows took about a month for windows to be constructed and a day for installation. I would definitely recommend Zen Windows from the price to the whole experience. I keep using them because 1. John is honest and sticks to his quotes even if there is a surprise. 2. They are quick and on time and the windows are installed very well and super tight and insulated. 3. They are nice windows with a lifetime warranty that stays with the house.

John Sims of Zen Windows visited our home a day or two after we contacted him. We had a very leaky old window and new carpet which doesn't make for a good combination. I requested a quote to replace our remaining 5 windows in the home which were 20+ years old. It was a very easy sales call. John is friendly, knowledgeable, NOT high pressure, and kept the demo down to 30 minutes. I told him we needed the windows so the next step was to have his crew come out and measure so they could order them. They visited later that afternoon and were finished with the measurements in about 15 minutes. The whole thing was the best sales experience I have ever had. Fast forward to about 4 weeks and our new windows were in. He promised we would have them before we left for vacation and we did. George and his crew came out around 8:30am the day after the windows came in, and started working. They worked until around 3pm installing all 5 windows. They covered their shoes before moving about the house which was really appreciated. Very competent and experienced. Everything outside and inside looked excellent. The windows are fantastic and we now have no more leaks and no more extreme heat from the sun! John Sims is great to work with. There was no pressure when we visited with him. He explained in detail how his crew would replace the windows. His installation crew was also great. They were punctual and courteous and cleaned up when they were finished. Both John and his crew wore shoe covers while they were inside our home which was very much appreciated since we had relatively new carpet. They did an excellent job with the installation. The windows that were replaced leaked when it rained and were very 'drafty' in the winter. We are very excited and happy with our new windows.
