You Move Me

They broke two large pieces of antique furniture and a very expensive lamp. Well over a $1000.00 worth of damage. They offered 6.00 for a 165.00 lamp and 150.00 for 800.00 piece of un replaceable marble from our antique furniture. These people are only concerned about their bottom line. They could care less about the customer. They charged us 1500.00 for a five mile move and broke the nicest things we own.

Went well. Very efficient. Professional group. Jermey, Gage and Kody were top notch. Would use again!

We had a terrible experience. We were quoted a $10,000 estimate for our move, but it cost $20,000 in the end. A ten thousand dollar underestimation is a gross negligence. We would have picked United Movers if we'd been quoted a more accurate cost. Second, the amount of damage to our possessions we experienced was far beyond any we've experienced in previous moves of which we'd had more than 15 including one international move between the US and New Zealand. The packers showed a blatant disregard for our possessions. We found $3000 bronze sculptures dumped into the bottom of wardrobes with no packaging while other wardrobes had clothes dumped inside without a hanging bar. About half our lamp shades are damaged because they were tossed into boxes with heavy items and no wrapping. Living plants were thrown into the bottom of unmarked, sealed boxes such that we eventually found them dead. Our furniture, including a coffee table, glass cabinet, desk, chair and end table all have new gouges. The lid on the hope chest and doors on the grill are all c***-eyed now, and a number of glass items are broken (many packed without any kind of wrapping). A packer broke an antique vase hand-painted by a family member and our 70 inch Samsung TV is ruined with a cracked screen and internal damage that causes weird lines across the screen. The packers and movers, while lovely fellows to chat with, showed a real lack of care for our possessions, dumping things into boxes seemingly at random. Our $45 a piece pillows were seen being tossed into the moving van as if they were part of a game and a large piece of plywood was dumped at our new home in the middle of a newly planted bush with no care given to the fact branches were being broken. We are deeply disappointed with the quality of service from You Move Me and would not recommend them to our worst enemy. The worst experience we have ever had.

Everything started out great, the quote looked good and the communication before the move was excellent. Then the move day happens and unfortunately the movers don’t live up to the standards the company had communicated. Not protecting the walls or hardwood floors until the move was almost over and damaging several pieces of furniture. I understand damage happens but the way company has handled it has been terrible. They picked up my table to be repaired 3 months ago and I still don’t have it back. Every time I call I’m told it will be ready next week. I paid for extra insurance so things could be properly taken care of, but unfortunately that hasn’t been the case. Now it takes days for my contact at the company to get back to just to again say it will be ready in another week. Don’t use this company if you have any furniture you care about.

YouMoveMe.com is the best moving service I have EVER used. Respectful, Caring, Honest, Efficient, Reliable, Great communication skills and attitudes, Professionalism is their top priority. John, Ermilio, and Zach were so wonderful! I actually enjoyed my moving experience because of their understanding positive attitudes. They even fixed a piece that was previously broken on my bed for free! No hidden charges! All is told to you upfront. They ended up SAVING ME MONEY AND TIME! Most movers get defensive and these guys were top-notch professionals who treated me with utmost respect, kindness and care! The owner of the company actually showed up at my loading to check on how things were going! If you want your move to go seamlessly and safely and you want to be thrilled, then hire them today! I can't say enough about this AMAZING LOCAL COMPANY! They even bring you coffee the way you like it! Wonderful people. Support local and spread the word in the KC area!

BEWARE! I hired them last week to move me last minute based on a referral I had from a realtor. They underpriced the job during my initial quote and stuck it to me in the end. The lady on the phone quoted but mislead me ... FYI it's your job to know how long a move takes...Moving is stressful and expensive and the last thing needed was to come up with an extra $300 at the end of the move because it should have been quoted as a 4-6 hour move not a 3-4 hour move. They sent 2 guys and I had 2 friends help and it took them 4.5 hours- uh heck yes they under quoted it! I argued with 2 managers for this company and in the end I was left still paying way more than I should have. To top it off the movers ran over a bottle of cleaner left it tipped over on the carpet so I have a huge round bleach stain and I reported it to them and they have yet to pay for the damages or submit a claim to their insurance company to cover the damages. After reading other reviews about them and their pattern of under quoting and hitting people at the end of the job- I wish I had hired a more reputable company

You can't go wrong with You Move Me. Seriously. This company was amazing. From scheduling my move appointment to look at what I was moving, to confirmation calls to the five man team lead by Sam and Sam, it was amazing. Moving is stressful enough but having You Move Me help us out on this move was a HUGE HELP! Highly recommend!

I had an appointment with an email confirmation that Josh would be at my house between 2:30 and 4:30. I waited all afternoon and he was a no-show. Not a good quality in a moving service. I will be looking elsewhere.

The staff at You Move Me were amazing. They arrived on time and the staff was very professional. They moved a three bedroom house full of furniture and boxes without issue. They were cautious when moving fragile items. I would recommend them to friends and family.

Having had great experiences with these sister companies in the past, I used them when I recently sold my condo and moved temporarily to an apartment until my new apartment in a seniors complex was ready. They did a great job as usual, the movers were delightful and I happily paid each of the three guys a $100 tip on top of the moving charges, as I’ve always done. A month ago when I was told my new apartment was finally ready, I immediately contacted YouMoveMe and booked my appointment for this weekend. The representative noted that I was a longtime customer and offered a very nice discount as a thank you. Everything was in place, and I was ready to go. Yesterday out of the blue, I get a call from the YouMoveMe’s executive office in Vancouver tellling me in no uncertain terms that they were cancelling my appointment. The reason? To quote them “Your lifestyle was not up to our standards and had we sent movers to assist you, their lives would have been in danger”. Seriously. A disabled, retired 64 year old lady with a cane/walker? They talked to me as if I was the dirt on the bottom of their shoes. They wouldn’t explain why or how they came to this conclusion. I’ve never even had a parking ticket. He just kept repeating “we don’t have to tell you anything, we can pick and choose who we do business with and it will not be you. Now or ever.” Three times I called the service center, requesting I either be transferred to the local Lenexa KS office or get a message to them so I could try to straighten out the mess. Every time they refused. You cannot imagine the words they used and the tone in which they talked to me. Several times they were laughing. I was so upset I was throwing up and worked myself into the first migraine I’ve had in decades. So I spent hours and hours scrambling to find a local mover who could move me on such short notice. I found a very good one who worked very hard to assemble a crew to move me. They were already completely booked up, but didn’t want to leave me stranded. I am so grateful they cared so much that they would squeeze me in. They are much more expensive but I’m grateful to gave them help me. Only when I posted a scathing feedback comment on their website did the local YouMoveMe office reach out to me very, very late at night. They noted in my file that they had been to my house and that every square inch of my house was covered with garbage and human feces six feet tall, with only a tiny pathway to walk through. I told them that was impossible as every time they had been to my house, the entire house was spotlessly clean and they had been there as recently as 6 weeks ago and gave them the names of the three movers that had recently moved me. After they started digging further, they discovered that they had erroneously put horrendous notations in my customer file that should have been put in the computer file of ANOTHER CUSTOMER! The only thing we had in common was having the same first name. Different last names, completely different addresses/cities/neighborhoods/phone numbers and vastly different moving dates. The disparaging things they wrote about me in their whole-company-access files that their entire operation could read were not true. That’s libel. And by saying these disparaging things to me from of a total of 3 Vancouver employees over the phone, that’s slander. The Lenexa office apologized profusely and offered to reschedule my move, but I refused. They then offered to move me for free, and I refused that as well. I explained after hours and hours of calling every moving company in the area I found a company who cared enough to help me and I’d already paid half of the estimated cost to hold my time slot. That I wasn’t going to back out on good people who cared enough to bend over backwards to help me. They then offered to reimburse me for my moving expenses which I agreed to but ONLY if I received a written apology from the Vancouver office and an amount equal to the moving costs for every defaming phone call that office made to me. Both offices are blaming the other for the horrendous mistakes. Vancouver doesn't want to pay because they said the screw ups started with the Lenexa Ks office. Lenexa KS office never called again.

This must be a different company from all the positive reviews I have seen. It was by far the worst move I have ever experienced. We were quoted a price with the promise of one day to pack and one day to move. What we received was a bill $1400 over quoted price and an incomplete job. The workers showed up 30 minutes late each day, packed the first day for 6 hours, charged us more than the quoted price with the explanation they did extra to ensure the move the following day was faster. On moving day, it took them 12.5 hours to move us out and in to our new home. They were not finished until 1015pm and by that time, we just wanted them OUT of our house. The following day, I went to our previous home and found many items that had not been moved; see attached pictures. When I called the company to inform them of missed items and asked when they would be able to finish the job, he was told “Well, we’ve already lost so much money on this job, I don’t know if we can get anyone out there”. This is the company you will be hiring; if you want a moving company that grossly underestimates time it takes to move, charges you for their miscalculations and does an incomplete job, this is the moving company for you. If you want a moving company that does the job right (heck even COMPLETE), this is NOT the company for you.

We used them in our business. We recommend them to our clients and our clients use them.

They were nice, but it ended up taking quite a bit longer, they broke my marble table and then asked for a tip. After failing to properly fix my table, they will not return my phone calls.

We were kind of disappointed with them. I wouldn't hire them again myself. They weren't the cheapest. They also weren't the most expensive. The owner was responsive when I contacted them.

Pretty good! They were on time, friendly and professional, but they damaged a couple of areas in the stairwell when moving heavy items. It's going to take a bit to repair the areas,

This is the fourth time I've used this company and they haven't let me down. The guys did an excellent job! Dwayne, Cameron, Torry & Gage were hard working, professional, pleasant young men. They had to stack eight rooms of furniture and boxes plus basement and garage items into a two car garage at a small rental. Great organizational skills! Will definitely use again!

Chris & Ernest with You Move Me were great! They moved all of our heavy household items. They worked hard and with a great attitude. They even maintained a great attitude when it started raining during the unloading process. All in all, a big ??

Estamate cost was twice as much as quotes. Took 9 hours not 5 thay was estimated. Damaged leather couch in move, they sent someone to repair but it should not have been damaged in first place. Furniture was not wrapped as advertised. I packed and unpacked clothes in closet not them as advertised. Did not want a check on top of everything else, finnally had to take a check because I did not have any other way to pay. No one ever said no checks before move. I would not use them again.

They were decent though not topnotch. They got the job done. They do provide a full service of packing and moving. I would have liked them to be more careful with my furniture. My furniture had some minor scratches. They were on time.

Their work ended up being exactly what the bid was. They were very professional, helpful and polite. They were really, really nice guys to work with. We would definitely use them in the future.

The move is scheduled for 6/26/14 and they stated that they would call 30 minutes in advance so that I know when to expect them. I will provide additional information following the move.

You Move Me was great to work with! They were able to determine an approximate cost over the phone which saved us time. Will and ???? called prior to arriving and were able to arrive The moving crew was friendly, efficient and took great care with our belongings and the actual cost came in under the estimate! We would definitely use them again!

They were fantastic - showed up on time with a call ahead to confirm (and coffee :D). Very friendly, introduced themselves, reviewed our stuff to confirm quote was accurate, and got right to work. Moved efficiently and quickly - no wasted time. Work was finished much earlier than I would have believed if I had not been there to see it myself. And their quote was spot on. I would definitely use this team in the future and recommend them highly.

They arrived early and ready to work. Very courteous, wrapped the furniture carefully prior to moving the pieces. They put the sectional back together and placed it exactly where I wanted it. Even did extra by moving a heavy coffee table and helping with rolling out the area rug prior to moving the furniture. Great service!
