He came out and gave an estimate. He was very nice and did a good job. His professionalism and price were fine. I chose to go with someone else as he does not do push piers. He does what is called helical piers.

Fortunately for us Andrew did not find any issues with the house's foundation that needed attention at this time. The issue was not with the exterior foundation but from settlement of the slab on grade. He explained where the interior cracking and buckling was coming from and that we should just keep an eye on it. He encouraged us to continue with our plans for grading and erosion control around the house. Andrew was able to set an early appointment with me so we could meet before work. He was late but called ahead to let us know. We would recommend him to anyone and would use him again in the future if the need arose.

Overall the service was better than expected. Work was completed within one week of meeting with Andrew.

They ripped out all the concrete. They then dug trenches around the house to access the foundation. They then placed the piers and hooked them up to the jacks. They then jack the house back up to make it all come back together. The dirt was replaced and packed down. We then had the garage floor mudjacked and the concrete poured where it was torn up.

We met with Andrew Vleisides in April to review the repairs prescribed in our engineering report. He was very pleasant and professional while he gave us a verbal overview of the scope of the work he would recommend. He later provided a detailed project proposal. The work was completed as scheduled.

The crew arrived each morning around 8:00 am, took a break for lunch, and left about five. The crew was pleasant and seemed to enjoy their job - I would hear them whistling and singing a few words from time to time. I have a small dog whose job was to greet each worker (standing on her hind legs and waving with her front legs) as they entered the house or left the house (the only way to get into the basement.). One day I had to run out for a quick errand, forgot about the dog being loose in the house - but everything was fine when I got back.

I have a foundation wall that is beginning to lean inward. Andrew looked at my situation and advised that the movement was not nearly significant enough to warrant a repair at this time. He gave me advice on how to monitor the problem and when to call for repair if needed. He also gave me advice on how to better handle the water management in that area. Two previous companies had given me completely conflicting (but equally expensive) estimates for repairs that are not yet needed. Andrew really seems to know his stuff and is honest.

He shows up when he says he will. He is very thorough and honest. As well he does not seem to be trying to get me to do anything unnecessary.

We found we had doors that would not open and cracks in the walls over the doors. They came out and measured the floors and walls and showed us where it was sinking. They explained where it needed to be repaired and lifted and where the piers needed to be placed. They also explained how the concrete floors would need to be mudjacked and that we could possibly not have to tear out the concrete floor but just mudjack them saving us the expense of new floors. They tore out the concrete porch by our backdoor and hauled all of that off for us. What takes a while is coordinating all your other work when you need new concrete and walls repaired by others. They were very professional and seemed to know what they were doing. Did not want us to spend extra money on items we did not need. The company cleaned up around the house and inside the house as they worked. The only problem we found with not tearing out concrete floors is that they are not level after mudjacking and it's hard to get flooring installed. We can see why people pay money to have new concrete floors put in if they can afford it. They had their job finished in just a few days.

Spartan Foundation Repair did a great job. The team was on time and professional. We had several other bids for piering our foundation but decided to use Spartan Foundation, which I found on Angie's List. The salesman answered all my questions and their prices were competitive. I called him several times and he was always there to answer my questions. It was hard deciding on which company to use, as piering a house is a big expense. But we choose to use Spartan Foundation Repair and I am glad we did. The job has been completed and I am happy with the results. I would highly recommend the Spartan Foundation Team to anyone needing foundation repair.

The estimate was for about $4700. None of this was going to do any kind of true waterproofing. It was basically just to keep the water from caving in on me. I found them through Angie's List. They seemed to have quite a few positive reviews. They were one of the first companies that I called. They followed up right away. I haven't given them the job yet. That's more because of financial reasons on my side. I plan on going with them. At the same time they haven't been calling me once a week hounding me either. It has been a very positive experience overall.

I collected quotes from 3 companies. Andrew was the most thorough, took his time explaining everything to me including my options, threw a tennis ball around for my demanding dog while we discussed the settlement signs from the backyard. All companies I met with had been based off of personal references, so they started on equal footing. When Andrew and crew came out to do the work I was having car trouble, and they spent about 20 minutes trying to help this woman in mild distress. The foundation work was done quickly and cleanup was thorough. When complete, Andrew took me downstairs to review the work. He also came back to make sure the concrete had set okay and all was well. Though foundation repair is one of the last things you want to spend money on, I felt secure in my decision to use Spartan for the work and would recommend them to anyone, hands down.

Andrew and his crew bent over backwards to get my job done in a timely manner. They were professional, courteous, and did a marvelous job. Andrew has a lot of knowledge due to his constant study and education. He gave me a fair price and was attentive and more than pleasant to deal with. I felt like his number one priority is to do the best job at the fairest possible price for his clients.
