Ryan Electric

It went great. I called on a Saturday, left a message and he called me back within 30 minutes. He came out that same day at 7pm on a Saturday and arrived exactly at 7pm. It was a very good experience for meeting with an electrician. Being a single mom, my experience with Ryan Electric was fabulous in that I felt like Pat Ryan was honest with me and was not looking to get rich off trying to do something that was not necessary. I gave him $20 for his service call to my home. I would definitely use Ryan Electric in the future.

Matt was a professional from the bid to the end of the installation. He was always on time and finished the job in the amount of time that he projected. The cameras are working great and I could not be happier with his work.

I did find him on Angie's List and I did use him on a job. The job went well. The guy responded to when I needed and he came and gave me a bid. He gave me his contact information if I had any questions. He was good about getting back to me and showing up when he said he would. His price is competitive and not cheap. I didn't get any bargain by any means but the work that he got done and he was there when he said he would and brought the supplies and did everything so I can not complain on that. He was very pleasant to work with.

Original response to first phone contact was prompt and professional. On time for first on site review of job. Asked several clarifying questions especially about the power conditioner, which he was not familiar. Matt followed up with email quote and statement that he had researched on line the power conditioner. He expressed appreciation for learning about something new in his field. The quote was very competitive compared to some others recenitely received for similar work. I asked for an upgrade from a 6 to an 8 circuit generator panel and he delivered for a very reasonable up charge. The work was preformed by Matt and another technician in less then 5 hours and in a very excellent manner. The operation of the back up generator equipment was well explained. I will never use another electrician as long as they are available.

He promptly returned my call, inquired as to the problem and advised me to call my utility company because it was more than likely their problem. He didn't want to charge me to drive to our home to possibly tell me. He said if it wasn't their problem he would be more than happy to check it out personally. He was honest and upfront. If I have any electric problems in the future he is the first call I'll make.

Pat and his helper installed two additional 20 amp circuits in my garage and added five outlets. The garage's finished interior walls required conduit which was installed along the baseboard and the wiring for the outlets fished up through the walls at their proper locations, making the finished results barely noticeable and professional looking. The job was completed in just over three hours including cleanup and Pat and his help were outstanding to work with.

First of all this was a very large undertaking. Several of the firms that I contacted on Angie's listed either had bids that were five times what I ended paying or realized this job was more than they could undertake. Pat Ryan who is the owner and also a master electrician is a top notch individual that doesn't just take the contract at face value and proceed without determining exactly what should be done. He ensured that I understood the true scope and cost of the project. There were no surprises. It was apparent he knew how to do this project. He worked diligently with the city of Overland Park and KCPL to ensure this was done correctly. My understanding is that this type of upgrade had not been done in a residence before which required Pat to do a lot of up front work on the project. I was impressed by the quality of the work done, the professionalism of Pat and his crew and since this work was done over several days when the outdoor temperatures and wind chill factor were terrible I did not hear anyone complaining about the conditions they had to work in. Pat connected me with a company that would need to do the excavation work. I compared them to other excavation contractors and was confident they too would do a great job which was also true. This work was a major undertaking as well since the trench was 200 feet long, required the removal of wood fence sections and they had to deal with many large rocks. They also put in the conduit and worked with KCPL to do the pulling of the new power cables. The only item left to finish is for the excavation company to return in early June which they agreed to do to fill in the places where there has been a great deal of setting which was made worse with all of the rain we have had this spring. KCPL was cooperative and the several people that I interacted with were very professional. The project evolved over several months and was delayed several times due to the horrible winter weather we had. During those months I learned the type of person Pat Ryan was and after the job was finished I told him I considered him to be a friend since I knew I could trust what he said. Quality company owned, operated, and managed by a quality individual.

Everything went great. He was very efficient. The price was reasonable. I would highly recommend Ryan Electric.

Pat Ryan and his staff coordinated with the power and light company to meet at our home and shut down the power to the home while the necessary work was completed. The Job was completed correctly, efficiently and right on time as per estimated...power and light waited on site while work was being completed and restored power to the house as soon as Pat finished the job.

Mr. Ryan responded to my Saturday morning call within an hour and said he could add us to the end of his list of calls for the day which would probably be about 7:30 PM. Since we had power out in several locations throughout the house, including our family room TV and computer and my computer and printer upstairs we were more than happy that he could come the same day. Actually he finished his earlier jobs a bit sooner and was at our house by 5:30. Pat Ryan is a pleasure to work with and though I suggested we might need to replace the whole panel box he suggested we just replace the necessary breakers first and not spend more than we needed to. That really impressed me. He did say that if another breaker goes it will probably be necessary to do the whole thing. He was also very kind and sociable with my husband who has Alzheimer's. He completed the job in less than an hour and charged us a very fair price for a late Saturday call. Finding him on Angie's List was worth the price of the membership!

Stellar! In and out in just over one hour for a lot of work! He was extremely personable; professional; left all work areas completely cleaned up AND removed his shoes before entering our home. Good electricians are SO hard to find but I have found one!! You can't go wrong with Pat Ryan!!

When I initially called, the owner answered the phone and I explained what I needed and within two or three days they came out and did the work. They were very prompt and very nice to work with.

Everything went as I expected. The conduit protecting the main service to the house has slipped thus exposing the wires to the elements. Ryan Electric coordinated the repair with the utility company and both showed up early at my house. After the utility workers disconnected the wiring, Ryan workers removed the old conduit and replace it with some that is flexible and will respond to movement without exposing the wires in the future. I also had them inspect and replace electrical outlets with ground fault interruption ones as a safety improvement near faucets in the kitchen and bathrooms. The men worked quickly and well and were both friendly and respectful. They did a fine job and would hire them again if need be.

We lost power to some overhead lights and wall outlets in a sitting room in our master bedroom. Called Ryan Electric and they said they could come out the same day. They later called and said they were running late and would have to reschedule for the next day which was no big deal. The following day Puna Toese a field operations manager showed up to address the problem. He was very professional and courteous and went to work right away. He found and fixed the problem in less than an hour's time. Based on my experience I would recommend Ryan Electric to anyone needing work of the kind that I needed.

First and foremost, if you are reading this, do yourself a favor and hire Ryan Electric, you will NOT be disappointed. This is by far one of the most professional, friendly, competent, punctual businesses I've ever worked with in my home. Pat Ryan, the owner, is a class act, and came out himself to do the work. Here are all the details: I called Mr. Ryan Saturday morning, and said he could fit me in the same day at 5:45pm. He said he would let me know if we was running ahead and would call me if he could make it any earlier. Sure enough, he called me later that day and said he could make it 20 minutes sooner which was great b/c I had company coming over for dinner. Once he arrived, he was very polite, and got right to work fully evaluating my situation to make sure he made the correct fixes. I ended up having a 40A breaker instead of a 30A breaker which is required for my dryer, so he made that change. I also had the wrong type of outlet for my dryer (it was a range outlet instead of a dryer outlet), so he corrected that as well. Mr. Ryan went the extra mile to make sure I was taken care of. Beside putting the breaker box cover back on which I had removed myself before he arrived, he also slid my dryer back against the wall where it belonged, and had me briefly run it to make sure it was functioning properly. I also asked him about installing some accent lighting in the future, so he took a few minutes, free of charge, to evaluate my finished basement to determine the best places to put the lights, and gave me an estimate for the work before he left. I've dealt with a lot of various folks in my home, and Mr. Ryan is one of the very few I would welcome back again and again for future jobs.

Ryan was GREAT. He worked around his schedule and fit us in the day we called him. He was very helpful. He even looked at another issue we had and made recommendations of what to do. I will tell all my friends about him.

My wife was having a party that weekend so he shuffled his schedule to fit is in. For how much he did, I feel that it was a good deal. During the installs, he spent time to educate me on some of his tricks of the trade. I'll definitely go to Ryan Electric for future needs.

He is terrific, efficient, his price is fair and he is smart and very friendly

Mr. Ryan was.courteous, efficient and honest to a fault. He assisted me in purchasing the perfect generator for my home. He kept me informed and was expert in his field. He did follow work, kept all commitments and was a pleasure to work with. He was able to coordinate all necessary work with the gas company without me having to do anything. He was here during a difficult and unfortunate time in our lives and was sympathetic while completing the job. I will use them again for any electrical needs.

We had two bids for the work. Ryan won our business because they told us about a much less expensive alternative to replace the light fixture than was recommended by the other company. Thumbs up to Ryan Electric!

My alarm kept going off and I called Ryan Electric out, the technician discovered it was actually my hard wired smoke alarm going off. He got the problem fixed and I haven't had any problems since.

He did a good job and the price was reasonable

They installed new outlets, grounded a gas line, changed a light switch to be a three pole switch, and installed a receiver in the ceiling fan so it could use a remote. They seemed to know their stuff. Their prices were reasonable. They helped me prioritize the work so I could get the most done based on my budget. They seemed to get the work done really quickly.

It knocked out our power on a very cold day and Pat stopped the job he was at to come fix our and get us on temp power, then on perm power. He also went above and beyond what was needed and handled everything w/ the power company. I would highly recomend this company.
