Pat Ryan did an excellent job with this project. From start to finish, he was very professional. His bid was not the lowest; however, I felt that he cared the most about the project and was very detailed at explaining on how it was going to be performed. The end result turned out fantastic. Our new recessed lights are great and we are very happy. Thank you.

We anticipated this would be an easy job, but it turns out there were a lot of mis-labeled wires leading to this particular fixture. Mr. Ryan canceled his next job and stayed to complete the entire thing. Very nice guy, too!

Emailed Ryan on New Years Day. Within minutes Pat Ryan emailed back. We exchanged a few emails describing what I needed done to make sure we were on the same page. He gave me a quote and said he has Tuesday open. We picked a time and then the day before I received a reminder phone call confirming the appointment. That Tuesday, Pat called and said he was running ahead of scheduled and we mutually agreed to move my appointment up. Pat was on time, knowledgeable, and finished the job in the time frame he originally told me in his email. The whole experience couldn't not have gone better. I highly recommend them and will be calling them for any future electrical work.

We're very pleased with the final result -- everything's working the way it should. He also called me to let me know he was running late, which I'd appreciated.

Before Matt, one of the techs for Ryan, came to our home, I was asked to view a video regarding the dangers of the circuit box that was used in our home. Although we had not experienced any of the warning signs mentioned in the video, I appreciated the fact that they knew that there could be a problem. When Matt checked out the box he assured us that though it was not ideal, it was a "second generation" product, not the type mentioned in the video; but we should look to change out the box sometime in the near future especially if we were planning to sell the house. He gave me a rough estimate as to what the cost would be and then we then discussed the cost of upgrading the one breaker. It was at this point Matt suggested that instead of replacing the breaker, that we should buy a stove top that only needed 30 amps. He then proceeded to go to Nebraska Furniture Mart's website and find a product, by the same manufacturer that not only was 30 amps but $200 cheaper. That savings, along with the $300 we didn't have to spend for the work (their estimate was also less than one we had gotten from a competitor) meant $500 stayed in our pocket. The honesty and incredible customer service shown to us by Matt (and therefore Ryan) means we will only be making one call on any future electrical needs we have and that will be to Ryan Electrics.

Matt arrived exactly on time to the minute and worked for several hours to trace phone lines and repair them. One line had failed about 5 years ago and involved putting in a new line thru the exterior wall of the house. We were glad to have the job done.

I called Ryan Electric for an emergency problem. They were unable to help me out but they recommended Xtreme Electric. Xtreme was wonderful and I truly thank Ryan for pointing me in the right direction!

Amazing. Matt was our technician. He was excellent with customer service and fixed the problem quickly. He was even good with dogs! Highly recommend them. They worked me in despite being booked for a week. When Matt was going to be a short time late, they called and updated the time. Matt did not try to upsell me and the job was quickly done for a great price.

Pat helped me by phone and without charge to diagnose my problem and buy the needed replacement parts. He scheduled my service as soon as I was ready. I got a follow-up call to confirm the date and time after we went off Daylight Savings Time. I provided the equipment. Pat also moved furniture and removed the old fan, lighting, and remote control unit. He had to re-wire the wall unit to work by wire. Pat also disassembled the old equipment, boxed it up for me, and took it to my garage. He was professional, worked in a focused and efficient manner. He left my home clean with a good working appliance all set and ready to use.

Called Ryan's Electric to come check on a plug that was installed by his company around Christmas last year. We haven't used the plug since Christmas so we didn't know something was wrong until we tried plugging in the lawn trimmers. Pat came out the next day after I called and replaced the outlet at no charge. Said it was faulty plug and he replaced it for free. Super fast, courteous, outstanding provider... We wont use anyone else for our electrical needs. Thanks Pat for being so fabulous!!

Great!!! Pat went above and beyond to educate me on different types of light bulbs, etc. He also provided an estimate for future work I'll need done, and suggestions on how to approach the work. Very friendly, solid knowledge. Only complaint (and that's too strong a word for it) was that he called the day of service saying he was ahead of schedule and asked to come early. Really, how often does that happen?? Usually service providers are behind schedule! Having to leave work earlier than planned was the only problem with it, which is why I graded a B for punctuality - though it was really the reverse of being late!!

Initially they had misdiagnosed the problem and when they put the new fixture in it worked. They did not charge extra. The technicians name was Puna and he has been here before. He did an excellent job. He was friendly and professional. He got the problem fixed.

Matt did a great job. I was really happy. By fixing the bathroom fan he saved me some money - I had already bought a new fan to replace the existing one but since he was able to repair the old one I returned the new unopened fan to Home Depot. He's very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I would definately hire Ryan electric again.

Matt and Puna did a great job, and it was a challenging job for them due to the age of the home and where some of the wiring was located. The were very prompt and worked some pretty long days to get it all done. I was very pleased that they managed to replace the majority of the knob and tube in the house with very little damage to the walls. They also did an excellent job of cleaning up as they went, keeping the overall dust to a minimum. This is no small task with lath and plaster walls. Finally, we had an issue with KCP&L finishing up their end of the project, and Ryan Electric did a good job of following up with them until it was all taken care of. I would certainly call them for any future needs I might have.

Having been down the "hire the cheaper "B rated" contractors, and living to regret it" experience, I sent out some inquiries to the higher rated Angie's List electrical contractors in my area. Ryan responded right away, and based on the reviews. I had them come out ASAP, which was essentially 2 days. As I work from my home office, I was hoping that he would call prior to his arrival so I could be prepared. BUT... Since the timing was eventually not a huge inconvenience, and as he was more than willing to share my work space, it eventually all worked out, You may find cheaper, and you find may find a "better deal." But I truly believe that you will find a better contractor. And the price will be competitive. Why else do you really want? I want a quality contractor that I can trust, won't hesitate to refer in the future. Mission accomplished.

The serviceman was on time even a few minutes early. He was very polite, professional and knew exactly what needed to be done to finish the job. He finished quickly and was very neat cleaning up all debris. I was so impressed that tI have already scheduled an appointment for another project. I highly recommend this company.

I made the mistake of hiring MVP Electric because of a "Big Deal" that enticed me. Dealing with MVP was one disappointment after another and I finally had enough after they hit a water line in my kitchen and didn't bother to call me back regarding the repairs. I called Ryan Electric and the very next day Pat Ryan was at my house for an estimate. About three days later Pat and his helper were back to complete the job. They were extremely professional and very good at what they do. The previous electrician wasted about an hour and a half building scaffolding to reach my 18' ceiling but didn't even come close. Pat was able to reach the top with his ladder and changed out the light like a pro! My bill was several hundred dollars cheaper than what MVP was charging me, even with their "Big Deal". I should have used Ryan Electric from the beginning and next time I absolutely will. Their customer service, professionalism, and competency are second to none. They are the best!

Pat did an excellent job of communicating and being on time. He was very detailed about how the job was going to performed. He delivered exactly what was discussed in the timeframe promised.

I hired Pat due to all the positive reviews he had on Angieslist and am very glad I did. We have a very high cathedral ceiling in our living room that is only illuminated by 2 can lights. We wanted more light as in the evening and especially in the winter it can get very dark in our main living space and lamps weren't cutting it. Pat and his assistant installed 3 new can lights in the ceilings and I am very happy. The installation looks great, no mess, and it turned out just how I wanted. Climbing around in a hot attic in August can't make it the best job in the world. He was very prompt at returning my inquiry for pricing and had to come out a second time to actually do the install as I gave him incorrect information the first time regarding the attic access which was my fault. I found his pricing to be competitive and appreciate the job he and his assistant did and will definitely use him in the future for any electrical needs I have. I highly recommend Ryan Electric. Scheduling the appointment was easy, which was a nice start after calling two other electricians who were not either prompt or simply didn't return a phone call. Puna arrived on time and it was evident immediately that he was knowledgable, experienced, and paid attention to detail. He was also very considerate, respectful of our home, and enjoyable. The dedicated circuit for the garage fridge turned into a bigger challenge than anticipated however he spent extra time figuring out the correct way to run the wire so it was not only functional but aesthetically well done as well. Puna also went extremely out of his way to help me find my phone which I managed to misplace. All-in-all, A+. I will use them again and recommend without reservation.

This company was incredibly prompt both in person and on the phone. I tried calling several companies prior who didn't bother to answer the phone or even call us back. Customer service counts in my book and Ryan Electric gets an A+. Very nice to work with! Will use again!
