Company promised to not cover up the alarm wires and then proceeded to cover up the alarm wires. Had to spend money to reconnect alarm wires. Quality of windows is OK only. Hard to shut.

Overall it was very informative and a good learning experience. Their windows appear to be an excellent product. The price is ridiculously expensive and you can get perfectly good windows for a lot less. They make beautiful windows and we wish we had the money to go with their product but it is just too unreasonable.

While we weren't terribly impressed with the salesman who called at our request (he was relatively new, having been with the company only a year or so), we placed the order, having had good experiences with Renewal by Anderson in a previous house. The salesman measured the windows for pricing purposes and set up an appointment for a more accurate measurement for manufacturing purposes. He also scheduled two days of installation (with one day in between because we had other appointments) When Louie came to do the "tech measure," he suggested a different grid pattern for the two awning windows we were getting in the kitchen -- a pattern that made them look more like the double-hung windows they were replacing, and one the salesman hadn't known about. That shook us a little, but we were glad to know of the better grid pattern. When it came time for the installation, we learned that the installers had been scheduled for two days in a row, not skipping the day when we had other appointments -- this despite the fact that the schedule we had set was written in the contract. That shook us again and proved to be inconvenient both for us and for the installers, who couldn't get the schedule changed. We called the salesman, who didn't quite remember who we were and had to be reminded, but he couldn't change it either. (At this point we remembered that the salesman had said he'd be here for the tech measure and for the installation; he wasn't.) In the end, the installers stayed late into the evening to install all the windows and came back the next day to finish the outside trim while we were gone. The windows are good -- maybe the best replacement windows available. we'll probably use Renewal for more windows at some point; I'm just not prepared to give them all A's.

The work went well and they finished in3 days. They measured all the openings and ordered all the windows and doors and stained them to match interior.

It was a phenomenal experience. On every item they were an A. I couldn’t believe the timeliness, the expertise, and the professionalism. It went right down to the salesman; there was no badgering and no high pressure. It was just incredible. It was the best experience I had. And he didn’t oversell. They didn’t rush the job. It took them almost three days; they took their time. The installers were unbelievable; they were meticulous and thorough. They only took out the windows they were going to replace that day. What could have been a nasty experience was phenomenal. They were clean and professional; they were very good. There is not one thing I can say bad about the experience. I would recommend them.

The price was high, but the quality is excellent. They were very professional to deal with. On time, excellent clean-up, minimal disruption to the household.

They have been great to work with every time. We usually do 4 windows each at a time (12 total so far) because all of the windows in my 1960's era house needed replacing. We've worked with Ryan(salesperson) and he's been very responsive and wonderful to work with. We even referred my in-laws to him when they needed windows. I believe the people sent to do the actual work were sub-contractors but they were great as well. I was able to request the same person each time. The work was done well, on-time and for the price quoted to me. The people who came out were courteous and checked with me before performing an action (or in one case, where he thought I might not like what was on the orders--which was fabulous because after seeing the actual window, what was originally ordered wouldn't have been as good as what the installer offered as an alternative). They also did a very good job cleaning up after themselves as well. They even let me know when one window came out so that my dog didn't run outside through the hole left in my house! The price might be a bit more but I think with windows you get what you pay for and I don't want to have to have new windows installed for a very long time. Each time I had a set replaced, I noticed a decrease in my energy consumption as well, which was wonderful. One piece of advice: get your estimate and make the first payment in January. I believe they said it's a slow month for them and every time we've purchased windows, January has had the best sales. I believe we have always purchased in January and had the work done in March since it takes time to manufacture the windows and coordinate our schedule with theirs (it may have taken a little longer for us because we requested one particular installer that we liked). We have been extremely happy with the work done by Andersen!

Salesman came out to give us an estimate. He was pushy and said they have the best windows and that if we sign the contract right now he could offer us ten percent off his best price of 20K for replacing 20 windows. One thousand dollars a window? Come on! He was telling us to stay away from buying vinyl windows but the fact is, their window is approximately 40% vinyl. I agree stay away from a cheap vinyl window but a well made one is fine. l liked the look of their window better than others but when I did more research I found their windows are just average in energy efficiency and way overpriced. They have a really fancy presentation, but that's all it is - hype. I purchased a more efficient window with a better warranty (lifetime on the window and installation, through a local company that has been in businees for over 30 years) and got it a half the price.

It went very well. They were determined that I was completely pleased. I called back due to a draft and they came out and determined the cause of the draft and stopped it. Initially I was not satisfied with the varnish on the windows and they came back in and reapplied another coat of varnish to all the windows. The windows are beautiful and are keeping me warm.

They did a great job and they did exactly what they said they were going to do. The windows come with a great warranty.

The person who did the initial consultation was knowledgeable and that went as expected. When I stopped by to give my deposit, they couldn't locate my file - OK, it happens:) When I was called to arrange an installation date, they couldn't locate my file again. So basically my dealings with the company were acceptable/average. The quality of the door is what I ordered. My expectations were not met with the installation crew however (outside contractors) They did not put in a header to attach the top of the door, they didn't add a waterproofing membrane, they used the minimum of caulk and insulation, screws are not tightened all the way etc. Just an all around quick and dirty job rather than the quality job I would hope to see from Anderson. When they first installed my door, they had the top rail in backwards and couldn't figure out why the assembly wouldn't work. A specialist from the store came out and immediately told them what they had done wrong. My door leaks more cold air than I would expect for the amount of money spent and a lost day of work for me.

We had several estimates and went with Anderson due to reviews on this list and high Consumer Reports ratings for their product. After getting an estimate a few years ago, we continued to receive discount flyers so make sure you wait for those to roll in before you act. The original estimate did not anticipate the full-frame replacements, but the measurer who came after the estimator notified us that full-frame was necessary and updated the estimate. The install was planned as a single-day job, but the installer (working alone) was unable to get to the full-frames complete in one day so came back a second day with help to finish. We were underwhelmed by the clean-up job done. We requested and receive a follow-up visit to correct an exposed nail and complete the interior caulking on the full frame windows. Despite these hitches, we are very pleased with the quality of the windows and ease of use, though the appearance of the composiite material is more plasticy and rounded than we would prefer given that we didn't replace all windows. We were ultimately satisfied with the install process and customer service and would use them again.

I would rate them highly in every category except for price. Their quote was a big higher because of the name. They were very professional and seemed to have a lot of respect for their product.

We had used Renewal at our last home and was very happy with our windows. But with such a large job, the whole house, I new I had to get quotes from other competitors. Renewal's quote was the same as their competitor and they offered some great discounts for large jobs. At the show room I met Joshua, he was the sales person who stayed in touch with us through the entire process, he even helped me remove my existing blinds before they came for the install. They were at my home at 8am with a large crew of installers, they layed tarps on the floor before they started removing the windows. As the old windows were torn out the new ones where being put in, the installers picked up and kept their work areas very clean ! I loved that they were so considerate of my home! They were here for 9 days and could not have been the most polite and detail oriented group of guys I have worked with in my home. If I noticed any problem with the windows or trim they addressed me and the problem immediately. They came and went at the times I was told and cleaned up after themselves everyday. There was also an installation manager Gary who worked with me from start to finish. We love our new windows, we can tell the difference inside our home, the bedrooms that face the south are really so much cooler with the new windows, it is amazing. Unfortunately, Renewal started using an outside company to stain their windows. They did a fair job staining, but were the most unprofessional company and would not suggest them to anyone. Renewal was extremely apologetic, but I do not fault them for trying to provide an end service to their product. I would highly recommend Renewal.

The experience from start to end was pleasant. They worked around my schedule for the consultation so that I didn't have to miss any work and I only had to leave work about 30 minutes early to meet the person who took the window measurements. The group that did the actual installs were extremely pleasant and professional. They tried to keep me informed on their progress and had me check out their work on occasion to make sure I liked what I saw. If I had to say anything negative about the whole experience it's that I wound up taking 3 days off work for the install, but that was due to unforseen circumstances like weather and they had to come a seperate day for the halfround because the box was missing some reqiured channel that they had to get made. I would most definitely use this company again, and probably will to get the last 3 windows that I just couldn't afford right now replaced.

They were very professional with the installation. All of their stuff is custom, so it is a very well made product. It is also reflected in the price.

They did a great job. I told them specifically what I wanted, as I liked what I was going to replace. They came out, measured the windows and came back with an estimate. The price was reasonable. Everything went smoothly and I didn't have any issues. Even if I were to have any issues I know that they would come, as they are very attentive.

Very competent crew, kept everything very clean and took care with furniture, window coverings, etc. Completed work as promised

The gentlemen was very nice that came out, but I did not realize they only handled Anderson windows. He came out right away and was very professional while he was here.

Door was replaced in a professional manner and we have been satisfied with its installation and performance. I didn't think I'd like the blinds in the window, but it is nice not to have them banging against the door when it opens or closes.

They were very professional and courteous. However, the price was extremely high.

They did a pretty good job. The man who came out was punctual and responsive. They were very knowledgeable. They seemed to know what they were doing.

They were very clean and did all of the work in one day. They originally thought it would take two days but got it done earlier than expected. Every thing was good. There was no high pressure. The customer service was pretty amazing.

It went well working with them. They left me come out and look at a current project they were working on so I could see their work first hand before hiring them. They had worked with my siding company in the past and I was doing both projects at the same time. They used their workers to do the windows and did not sub contract out.
