Description of Work: Installed 10 replacement windows. Painted the interior trim. One unit was defective--had to reorder, took 2 weeks. Interior painting was delayed by 3 weeks. We were a mess for way longer than promised. We still have drips of paint on trim & on floor that we will have to clean up. Pricing was a huge increase from two years ago--had to negotiate quite a bit to get close to anything reasonable. Product they install is of good quality & great efficiency.

Description of Work: From the initial bid on thru the installation of our windows, I was impressed with the quality of service and product. Our salesperson was great and worked to give us the best deal he could. Installation happened as promised, timely and efficiently, These windows are one of the top rated and therefore not the cheapest but we couldn't be happier with what we got. They look great and function beautifully. We definitely will consider buying Renwal by Andersen windows for our other window needs.

Description of Work: I scheduled an appointment for an estimate on replacement windows with Renewal by Anderson and was to see "Greg" today at 1:30 but yesterday I picked up a message from a woman caller on behalf of Anderson stating that I had to put aside a guaranteed 60 minutes for this appointment and that "my husband" or some responsible person had to be guaranteed to be there, too, or to contact them back. I did so to 651 264-8663 today and spoke to the man who answered. He repeated the same "requirements" and I cancelled my appointment. I don't need to be told that my non-existent (by the way) "husband" must be there and that I must guarantee them 60 minutes for what I presume would be their "hard sell". I just called for an estimate after receiving their mail brochure and seeing them on Angie's List...so much for Angie's recommendation for this company!

 + -1 moreWe researched and did our homework, both online, with friends, and with Angie's List. We had three bids in all, which were all in the same ballpark, expense-wise. Because virtually all the windows in our home will need replacing, we wanted to chose a company we could stay with in the future. We chose Andersen based on their top-down business model. Not only are the windows of excellent quality, all the salespeople, installation crew, and supervisors are employees of Andersen, and trained in Minnesota. We learned from our research that quality installation is as important as the window quality. You don't have a fly-by-night operation with Andersen. The windows are beautiful and the installers were professional, on time, and did a great job with clean up. We are completely happy with the experience and the results.

Description of Work: THEY INSTALLED NEW CASEMENT WINDOWS IN KITCHEN IN 1997 AND UPSTAIRS BEDROOMS DOUBLE HUNG IN 2000, COULD NOT TILT THE UPSTAIRS WINDOWS, WE CALLED THEM AND THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM, STILL UNDER WARRANTY.

THE MAN WHO DID THE WORK WAS EXCEPTIONAL--POLITE, EFFICIENT, DETAIL-ORIENTED. HE CLEANED UP VERY WELL. HE ALSO WAS CAREFUL TO CHECK IN WITH ME AS HE WORKED, MAKING CERTAIN EVERYTHING WAS AS I LIKED IT. MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS EXCELLENT, ESPECIALLY WHEN COMPARED TO THE MANY CONTRACTORS I'VE DEALT WITH OVER THE YEARS.

 + -1 moreFROM START TO FINISH, THIS COMPANY DID A GREAT JOB. GARY JONES CAME OUT TO MEASURE FOR THE NEW DOOR AND DISCUSS THE WATER DAMAGE UNDERNEATH DUE TO SEEPAGE. WHEN THEY INSTALLED THE NEW DOOR, THEY MADE SURE THE FLOOR WAS SOUND UNDERNEATH. THEY ALSO MANAGED TO INSTALL IT AND THE NEW MOLDING WITHOUT DAMAGING THE WALLPAPER SURROUNDING IT. THEY CAME WHEN PROMISED AND COMPLETED THE JOB IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER. LASTLY, THE PAINTER THEY RECOMMENDED TO FINISH THE DOOR WAS AN EXCELLENT REFERRAL.
Description of Work: THEY REPLACED A SLIDING GLASS DOOR FOR US. TO DO SO, THEY HAD TO REMOVE AND DISCARD THE OLD DOOR. THEN THEY INSTALLED THE NEW DOOR, ADDED NEW MOLDING AROUND THE NEW DOOR, AND HAD TO ADD SOME NEW WOOD UNDER THE DOOR FOR SUPPORT.
