Description of Work: Installed g.f.c.i.'s in kitchen and bath and changed the wiring on 2 circuit breakers.

Description of Work: The technician completed a thorough inspection and suggested necessary repairs. She did not promote a new unit until I asked. I appreciated her not trying to hard-sell us. We ended up getting a new unit, and we are pleased.

Description of Work: Original visit to look over my situation and plan what to do. Next visit to pigtail 5 outlets and do diagnosis for another problem. Two of the outlets I had asked to be done with copper had already been done, and I was not charged for them. I would not have known the difference, and appreciated the technician's (Todd) honesty. I was very happy with the service, and plan to have more done as I can afford it.

Description of Work: After looking over my main electrical service box the service tech stated that a proper grounding wire set-up was necessary to meet code requirements. The original deal was $599 for the 100 amp box change out. I was quoted an additional price of $634 to add a grounding rod and a continuous wire to the water pipe where it enters the house. The price for the grounding rod and wire seemed extremely excess to me. Therefore, I backed out of the deal.

Description of Work: MVP did a nice job, and I was impressed that he stayed until @ 8:00 in the evening to install a replacement electrical panel in our house. Angie's Deals are not that great though, I bought the $699 panel replacement and paid at that time. When they came and added all the upgrades I needed, several GFI breakers, a 200 amp vs 150 amp, etc., I ended up paying what I would have paid with most any other electrician or right around $2000. But since I had already paid upfront for "Angie's Deal", my options to get competitive bids afterward were severely limited. I was pleased though with the work of my electrician with MVP.

Description of Work: The guy came out and asked what I would like to have done. What I needed was to have a kitchen outlet tested and replaced. I thought that would be easy enough to do and wouldn't take long to determine if the outlet was bad or the problem was bigger than that. I also told him that I would like a ceiling fan installed. The guy did not test the outlet or address that problem at all. He said I would have to call and make an apt for any work done. He gave me estimates on the 2 projects that I thought were ridiculously high and tried to sell me a service agreement that was also ridiculous. It was a waste of $49.

Description of Work: My reason for purchasing the deal from MVP was repair my two doorbell ringers that chimed only when held down and replace an outdoor electrical outlet box. I had hoped to have doorbell buttons fixed/replaced, but was told by electrician that I needed a whole new door bell system, that my recent replacement ringer buttons weren't compatible with the the doorbell chime. I didn't have a whole door bell kit, and it would cost too much for him to wait while I went to purchase one, so my problem still isn't resolved. The outdoor electrical outlet was replaced. I wish there had been a way to know ahead of time and I could have the whole new doorbell kit with ringers on hand before he came. I only had the outdoor ringers on hand. The electrician's call wasn't totally satisfactory, as my son could have replaced the outlet free.
