Description of Work: MVP was contracted at 325 to replace 4 lights with recessed lights. The ending bill was 734.57 for a worse situation than when I started. The area is now poorly lit and we will have to pay more to get it fixed. Also before performing the job, the electrician also recommended an additional 1,322 in optional work. I would prefer they focus on the doing the job they are contracted for and complete the job with professionalism rather than line their pockets once they get in my door. Description of Work: We used a special on Angie's list to have them re-wire a garage light and replace a light in our laundry area. I had a little bit of trouble getting in touch with Rhonda, the woman who does the scheduling, but once we got together, it was smooth sailing! One thing they did which I thought was very nice is that they emailed a picture of the technician who would be coming out in advance of the appointment! Mike arrived promptly and got right to work. He did an excellent job and checked out a couple of other electrical items and gave us recommendations regarding those. I would definitely use this company again.

Description of Work: He was so professional. My house was built in 1947 and the cabling for the upgrade to the Nest learning thermostat was no good. He reran all heater and air conditioner cables, installed thermostat and programmed completely.

Description of Work: We have two lighted ceiling fans that seem to have a short in one of the lights - one since it was installed about a year ago, the other since we had a remote control installed, both by a different company. I explained the situation when I set up the appointment. When the serviceman arrived, he said it could end up costing nearly as much to check them out and possibly repair them as it would cost to get new lighted fans, and there would be no guarantee he could fix them. I was upset that I wasn't told that on the phone before wasting our time. He explained that the schedular doesn't know that, but given that was what the appointment was set up to do, I think a courtesy call from him would have been nice. However, the visit gave him the opportunity to take more of our time to research our home looking for more work he might be able to do - a lead-in to his sales pitch to buy their service program. At least he didn't charge us for that opportunity. I understand they want to increase their sales, but the process was probably even more off-putting given that nothing was accomplished for us. We bought the Angie's List deal, which we still have. I hate to waste that money, but am not sure I want to have them come again.

Use them all the time...such a convenience, highly recommend) Had a room that had a bad circuit/wiring issue so no electrical available. They routed off another room via the attic. Did whole house inspection and offered a list of improvements. Put a ceiling fan up in room that had electrical short. Jacob was on time, super helpful in explaining everything, up front on pricing and great to interact with. I'd absolutely call him again to do more work.
