Description of Work: This job was a test to see if I would want to hire them for a large job--depending on price and service. Hang a simple flush ceiling globe in a wired box where I personally had already removed the old globe, and detach one other small ceiling globe. (Not from high ceilings in either case.) $230 was a bit steep for that work. The technician had obviously been instructed to give a sales pitch, including for things I did not request but were "recommended." He spent more time in the truck obtaining this information than he did hanging the fixture, even after I told him to stop the sales pitch. I finally had him hang the new globe and did not order other work. Again, no fault of the technician--he was clean, pleasant and efficient.

Description of Work: I thought MVP provided truly exceptional service. Of course, I never like paying for furnace repairs, but that's on me. Their technician seemed very knowledgeable. He came back on a subsequent visit to replace a couple of parts and got my humidifier back up and running. I'd definitely use them again, particularly for the convenience they offer.

Description of Work: A very nice man fixed some wonky wiring in my downstairs family room, changed out a hanging light fixture, installed a dimmer switch and two electrical outlets. And he saved my house from burning down by cutting off electricity to a short in a different hanging light fixture until I can replace it.

Description of Work: My A/C stopped working on a nice, hot, summer day. After calling many companies I went with MVP because their price was reasonable and they were able to dispatch someone the same day! The tech was very professional and clearly knowledgeable. The A/C started working again after messing with a couple of things, but the tech continued to check the system because he wasn't sure he found the actual issue - after more checking he found the actual problem. It was a relatively simple fix and I appreciated his thoroughness to ensure he found what exactly had caused my A/C to stop working.
