MVP Electric, Heating & Cooling

Todd from MVP electric came out and gave me a bid a couple weeks ago for moving my electrical panel from its previous, unsafe, cramped location and grounding several outlets, as well as grounding the panel to the water line and installing a ground rod outside. I took the written bid and got several more from other companies. MVP was not the least expensive, but I went with them because Todd was the most thorough and seemed knowledgeable and trustworthy. Two weeks after the bid, I called to let Todd know I was ready to have the work done and despite being very busy, he managed to fit me in just a few days later. His communication was clear and prompt. He showed up on time, was professional and courteous, and took the time to explain things to me as he worked, when I had questions.He asked if it would be ok with me if he brought help and I agreed. His helper, Kevin was just as professional and capable. The two of them completed the work in 2 days, and actually went above and beyond what the bid was for and didn't charge me a dime more. I could not be more pleased with the work completed, and Todd caught a problem with my furnace that needs to be addressed as well. He stayed almost an hour late talking to tech support for my furnace and diagnosing the problem. I will be calling them back to schedule that work shortly. I definitely recommend MVP Electric.

The technician, Rob, was prompt, friendly, and helpful, and professional. He kept us informed on progress of job. He worked diligently to complete the work. A firm quote was given before work started, which I like. We were happy with the service and would use this company again.

They were excellent. It all went very good and they were easy to work with. At first I thought the pricing was a little high, but after seeing the quality of the work they did I was happy with the price. I have a 1 year contract with them for my furnace and A/C unit and a discount on any other services I may need.

Excellent. First off, I had a KC Perks coupon for a furnace tune-up for $58.00. The normal latest appointment for a furnace tune-up was 3:30 pm, but I told them I couldn't get there until 4:00 pm and they made an exception for me. The technician was very courteous and asked if there were any problems I was having with my furnace. I told him that sometimes there was a high-pitched whine when the furnace was running (said it was the fan). Later, he called me downstairs to look at the amount of rust in my furnace and showed it was a relatively small amount and asked about my humidifier. I told him I had turned it off last year because I having trouble getting the right amount of water flow going through it. He said he could look at it for me, but I didn't really answer because I wasn't sure if it would be extra and being Christmas time - I didn't really have extra money to spend at the time. When he was done, he explained all of the tests he had run and told me that my furnace passed with basically flying colors. I told him that was great for a 17 year old furnace and he told me my furnace was 26 years old, so it was really good. He cleaned and lubricated the unit, thus fixing my whine. He also told me he turned my humidifier on and adjusted the water level for me. He was awesome. He then told my about their service plan for $125, they clean & tune-up the furnace and air conditioner and entitles you to several excellent discounts if something happens during that year. I will be purchasing that later in the year considering the age of my heating/cooling units. They were the best to work with and I would definitely recommend them.

Wow. The amount of personalized service we received from MVP is above and beyond what other companies offer. The technician was kind, and offered superior customer service. He took the time to answer all of our questions in a detailed way that was easy for us to understand. This one furnance tune-up has earned them our patronage. MVP responded promptly to my request for information, and provided a range of options for our three broken units, explaining the pros and cons of each thoroughly. We were without a/c as a heat wave approached and they made extra speedy efforts to install the first a/c immediately for our comfort. The owner and crew were extraordinarily pleasant, efficient, and helpful. Their work area and the home were always left in good condition, and they completed the installations rapidly and efficiently. I could not be more pleased with all interactions with this company, would recommend them highly, and plan to contact them for all future relevant needs!

Showed up on time, gave cost estimated and they proceeded to complete work within an hour.

The enitre process was smooth and well done. We got a detailed estimate before committing. It took a little longer to get the estimate than we anticipated, but once it was set things moved ahead well.

My A/C went out Saturday evening. I called MVP on Sunday because I had a coupon from the Valupak and reviews on Angie's list looked good. Andy offered to come on Sunday but explained there is a $90 additional fee for off hours service calls. I decided to wait until Monday to avoid the fee. Andy called me back early Monday morning and said he was on his way. By 10 am he had diagnosed a blocked condensation tube and the blower motor problem. They had the motor in stock at their warehouse so the repair was complete by 2pm. Both Andy and Daryl, the apprentice, were very friendly and professional. I will definitely use them again. In fact, I signed up for their annual maintenance plan, so they will be tuning my furnace this fall.

I am new to the area so used Angie's List to find someone. When I called I got a pleasant greeting, but was told that I couldn't get my service for about 5 days due to busy time over the holidays. I told them I really needed it sooner and they suggested others to me for my immediate needs. As a new person to the area I really appreciated their willingness to suggest someone else to me. I would definitely call them in the future.

I had several new lighting fixtures and ceiling fans I needed installed, so I looked on Angie's List and found MVP. I chose them because of the positive ratings they had received. Brian from MVP arrived promptly. He followed me around the house as I showed him the ceiling fans and the lighting I needed installed. Then he explained the work that needed to be done exactly and gave me a very reasonable estimate. In the past, I had an electrician want to charge me almost $200 to install a ceiling fan. But not MVP! Brian gave me an estimate of about $320 for everything - two ceiling fans, track lighting, a new light fixture in the kitchen, and a safety check of the house. I was very pleasantly surprised! Then Brian got started in my family room, which I knew would be tricky because the previous owner of my house did a lot of his own wiring. Brian did not rush through the work at all. He spent the time to get it right, and even went so far as to go up into my attic to make sure the ceiling fan was properly braced. I was very impressed! He did a wonderful job installing all of the light fixtures, and everything looked great and worked perfectly when he was done. I was a little concerned that he would add more to my final bill since he ran into some trouble installing the first ceiling fan, but he didn't. The final price was the same as the estimate. I did decide to buy the service plan. It had been awhile since I have had the AC or furnace evaluated, so I needed that done. Plus, as a partner, you get 15% off your total, rather than the 10% for Angie's List members. So, my total bill, including service plan was only $420. You can't beat that! Brian came back out today to do the AC tune-up. Just as before, he was extremely kind and courteous, and he took his time. I went and looked at the air conditioner after he was done, and I have never seen it that clean since I moved into the house. I really can't say enough good things about this company. I will request Brian anytime I need something done. He is an extremely nice guy, very considerate, and he knows his stuff. I've had servicemen in the past who have talked down to me or who have obviously been annoyed that they had to explain things to me. Brian explained everything thoroughly, and was extremely respectful and patient when I asked questions. He didn't act hurried or rushed, but he made sure I knew everything he was doing. He obviously takes pride in his work, and he honestly seems to enjoy what he does. MVP is very lucky to have such an outstanding individual representing their company. I will call them anytime I have an electrical, AC or furnace need!!

Brian came out and gave me a quote. He explained everything in detail and took great pride in his ability to meet my needs. He explained their "Service Parnter Plan" in detail to me as well. I called about a week later and requested that Brian come out and complete the job. Originally we were only going to do the GFI and circuit breaker panel...but while Brian was there, I realized that the lights in the ceiling (car port) were not working. He quoted me on the spot the amount that he would need to diagnose and fix the problem. He was sure that he could figure out the problem (triple switch or something crazy). He was spot on. MVP is a great company so far. True to their word and Brian is a fantastic representative of their firm. He was curtious, professional, knowledgeable and very capable. I liked him and the company so much, I signed up for their Service Partner Plan. They are and will be MY electricians for a long time.

They were very courteous and helpful. They got the job done in a timely manner. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Their price was pretty reasonable. I really liked the person who came out. He was on time. When I hire people, I expect to know exactly what they have done. He explained me what he was doing in a way that I could understand easily. He volunteered the information. I felt very comfortable with them. I would recommend them to other members also. They responded very quickly. They showed up when they said they would. I would use their service in the future too.

They were great. The owner came out that day as it was a bad situation. They were several things that I wanted to be done but just didn't know who to call and so he ended up doing all of that. They stayed within the price range and they were very reasonable. Its one of the best companies I have ever seen. I just loved it. I thought they were wonderful workers, very prompt and professional.

Initially, no so good when the electricians didn't show at the appointed time - somehow the service request wasn't put on the schedule. They arrived within an hour or so and got to work. Once the wiring was installed they came back after the tile was laid and hooked up the thermostats.

Electrician dug up the existing wire, did all work as stated above. The installation is clean, only about 4" of pvc pip is exposed. The box is mounted real nice and secure. The nice part is he cleaned up 100% of his mess. He replaced the mulch in the garden area exactly how it was, he swept up, and even cleaned my shovel.

Overall, the work done was very good. They put in four recess lights in the kitchen. They extended an outlet for the refrigerator so it was on a different breaker. They put in a support box so the light does not fall down. The recess lighting part of it was what I wanted most. They were awesome with that. They were very professional. I did not mind that they were in my house. They were very nice and friendly. They got everything done within three or four hours. They cleaned up after themselves which is very important. They even sent a Christmas card. They were very punctual. The person who did the work was Andy. He took his time. He let me choose where I wanted the lights and made sure that I was happy with it. What I liked about it the most is he took his time and I did not feel like he was rushing me to make a decision; in fact, I was pointing out what part in the ceiling that I wanted these lights. He did the measurements and stuff and made sure that I was okay with it and even at the end he said that I could check it out for some time, and if I changed my mind, I could call him and he would come and figure it out. I don?t remember the amount I spent for the work they did. I would use them again in the future if needed.

Great company, they were on time and very professional. Took care of the problem right away wit no hassle.

Scott showed up exactly on time. It took him just seconds to figure out why I wasn't able to reset the the outlet in my bathroom: the CGI on the outlet on the other side of my bathroom was controlling it. He quickly rewired them (took him under 10 minutes) so that they operate separately. Scott was very friendly and polite, and put on shoe covers every time he came into the house from his truck. He even reset my DVR box for me when I mentioned in passing that the sound had gone off on it this morning. This was just a quick little job, but I will definitely call MVP again if we need other electrical work done.

They were great, very responsive and wonderfully reliable. I would use them again in a heartbeat. As a matter of fact we will be having them come out to do some more work for us in a couple of weeks!
