 + -1 moreAll went well. the two young men were prompt and professional. They explained all the details of what they thought the problem was and how they could fix it. As stated abouve I had a light fixture in my basement that had a chain over it to turn it on and after many years it would not turn the light on anymore. They replaced the keyless pull chain fixture and it worked like a charm and has been working every since. My outside light over the garage door would blow the bulbs if I let the garage door down without first turning off the light switch inside of the garage. I was blowing flood lights when I would forget to turn the light switch off before I opened the garage door too go out. They installed a new W/p box for the flood light and it has worked again like a charm and has been working every since. I would defitnely recommend this company to anyone. They were excellent and I plan to use them again this summer to install exterior electrical outlets around my house.

Description of Work: I had to have a new dryer outlet put in because the outlet I was using was for a range. Sears advised that my warranty would be void if I didn't replace the outlet. I called MVP around 3pm and they had someone at my house around 5. The tech was professional, clean , kind and did a great job. I highly recommend this company. I wish they had a home warranty service.

 + -1 moreOverall, my experience with MVP was extremely good!!! I was very impressed with their punctuality, professionalism, and just plain good nature. My service man went straight to work and fixed my electrical issue very promptly and did a great job. I would definitely recommend MVP to anyone.
Description of Work: I purchased the $98 for $225 worth of electrical services from MVP Electrical to have a a couple electrical outlets and a outdoor deck light fixed. The service man arrived promplty at 8AM and immediatley introducted himself and went to work. We discussed the issues I was having and he assessed the situation and began work on fixing my problem. He was very curteous and professional and did a great job. After a little while the outlets were fixed as was the outdoor light. I was very impressed with MVPs service and would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs electrical work done.

Andy gave us useful information about our system and let us in on some aspects that previous servicemen had never mentioned. He explained everything he was doing to make sure our furnace and humidifier were functioning properly and gave suggestions for improvements. We were so impressed that we'll be contracting with MVP for annual maintenance of our heating and AC systems.

Description of Work: I called the company yesterday and spoke with a gentleman named Kirk. He was very nice and I told him I was interested in them installing a cooktop with a downdraft feature. I told him we would need it installed and that it would require venting to the outside of the house. He said they could do that. I set an appointment for this afternoon. I was to be the last call and he said the technician would call me when he was on the way. I never heard from anyone so I contacted the office and explained the situation to the receptionist. I was on hold for awhile then the receptionist said I will have Kirk call you back in a few minutes. I did receive a call back from the receptionist and she told me the owner said we won't come to your area! I specifically asked the day I made the appointment if they serviced my area and they said yes. They even mentioned that their technician lived in my area and he would come by on his way home. I am very disappointed to say the least. If I hadn't called them, I would have never found out why they didn't show up! I guess they tried to make themselves feel better by giving me a name of another contractor. They should have done that yesterday when I called to schedule the appointment!

Appointment was originally scheduled for 11 but they had an opening at 8, gave me a call the day before and I took it. Arrived exactly on time and got right to work after brief conversation about what we needed and where. Let me state that I did not get an estimate before hand because we needed the outlets and I had work done before by a different company. This other company installed 1 outlet in a hall, 1 behind the fireplace for wall mounted TV and put up a celing light in our pantry, all for $425. So when I saw the bid for more than $700 my hunband and I were stunned. I take full responsibility for not getting an estimate before they arrived. But our decision was to have the work done since they were there. They did a great job and everything is wonderful, except for the price we are very happy. They contacted me about the price and indicated that I was indeed overcharged for the floor outlet. Adjusted the price quite satisfactorily. I'm a very happy customer and will definitely use them again!
Description of Work: They installed 2 outlets. 1 on the wall of an unfinished basement and 1 in the living room floor, again thru the unfinished basement.

 + -1 moreIt went fine. I'm glad we did it. When I initially called for information about the surger protector, he didn't mention that it's only good for 1 or 2 surges. I probably wouldn't have had it installed if I knew that. We haven't had any surges that would have ruined any appliances, but I think next time, I think we can go to Home Depot and get the piece ourselves and install it for cheaper.

 + 0 moreThe old fixture was removed with very little damage to our kitchen ceiling . Only the nail holes that once attached the fixture to the ceiling and the previous ceiling cut out were visible. However the process of running the new wiring across the top of the ceiling took several hours which was quite a bit longer than anticipated. However the final result looked very good and the debris was cleaned up properly. The overall cost for the 4 fixtures and labor was very reasonable.
Description of Work: A 22 year old fluorescent fixture in the kitchen was removed and 4 flood lights were installed.

 + -1 moreThe technician spent extra time on the heat pump coild, which was covered in fuzz from the huge cottonwood tree right beside the unit. After giving things a thorough checkup, MVP diagnosed the problem with the heat pump, and said it was no big deal. They got my heat pump working again at no additional charge. They thoroughly vacuumed the inlet and interior of my furnace and fan, and installed a nice new filter. I couldn't be more happy or impressed with their service. Through it all, the service technician was courteous, informative, and patient to explain.
Description of Work: MVP performed an AC checkup and tuning for me in the Spring of 2012. I was so pleased with the service I received that I pre-paid for another checkup of my heat pump and furnace in the Fall. They tested, vacuumed, cleaned, and tuned my heat pump. My heat pump wasn't working when they got there, so they fixed it. They tested, vacuumed, and tuned my furnace.
