The service was great. These guys were professional, clean, informative and knowledgeable about code and best practice. I would highly recommend the company. The only downside (and it was very minor) was coordinating with the office to make the appointment. It was a small hassle.

The gentleman who arrived was prompt and courteous. He explained everything he was doing and answered all of my questions. Good experience.

The electrician was extremely professional, prompt, and efficient. He installed my new lighting fixture which did require a new spot in the ceiling since the old fixture was not in the center of the room (weird... I know...). I have scheduled MVP for another electrical job on May 27 and I'm sure they'll do a great job once more. Thanks guys!!

I bought the Big Deal thinking that my box would need to be replaced.....I was told this by a friend of a friend of my wife's this, and they would replace it for $1500. The Big Deal, of course sounded MUCH better, so I bought that. When MVP Electric came by to look at the box, they told me that our box was fine, in good shape and didn't need replacing. That's actually great news for me, as I have recently lost my job. Therefore, I would like to get a refund on this Big Deal please. Money is very tight until I find another job. Although I am asking for refund, I want to stay a member of this great service and site. And also thanks MVP Electric for their honesty!

I had originally purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for replacement of a fuse/breaker box and then forgot about it until I got an email reminder right before the expiration. Got an appointment very pretty quickly - and great front office management - very polite and professional and they even emailed the day before with information about the technician who was coming out so there would be no question about who was at my front door. At that appointment, it was determined that the work involved in my very old house went far beyond what could be covered by the Deal - which was not at all a surprise to me. Austin really looked things over very thoroughly and gave me an estimate (crediting the whole Big Deal amount), for what needed to be done to make the house safe, if not perfect, at this point. Scheduled a second appointment and that went well - discovered an additional issue of badly deterioriated wiring that needed to be replaced in order to get the new breaker box installed. I really appreciated that professionalism of Austin and his helper, as well as the great explanations of exactly what was going on and advise about need-to-do-now versus can-wait-awhile-to-be-fixed. Everything was left cleaner than before and all circuits clearly labeled. I'm definitely going to be contacting MVP in the future to make more electrical improvements.

Fine, they priced other work while they were there but I felt like it was over priced. I got the work done by another contractor for less.

I used the Angie's List coupon to have the electrical panel replaced. Jeff did an excellent job with the panel, so I asked him to provide an estimate for upgrading the whole house. He came up with excellent solutions for the wiring. Those solutions allowed him to provide a quote much lower than other quotes I received. I made several other requests while he was there, and he was very professional. He also repaired a wall area at no extra charge. I would not have been able to make the upgrades had it not been for the excellent work, creative solutions and excellent pricing compared to other quotes I received. I was very impressed.

It was recommended that we purchase a new unit and we were offered a consultation with a sales rep from their company.

They did a good job with the service. They did try to up-sell other services but I just went with the basic service. They came on time and it only took one phone call to get them to come.

I called and they said that I was out of the service area and this was after two calls as they scheduled it and they did not realize where I was. They did a service prior to this for another coupon and nothing was mentioned about that. I called Angie’s List to get a refund. They called to set it up and then they called back to follow-up on the day of the service. They determined that I was out of the area that they covered. They were very responsive the day of and then they were responsive in following up but I was not happy that they canceled shortly before the appointment as the advertising said they cover the county.

Great! The repairman was very professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with. It was nice to get multiple issues taken care of.

I thought the service was for an upgrade but it's for a box replacement and MVP suggested an upgrade to 200 amps at around $3000. So, I am not going to do anything right now. He was very nice about the whole visit and quoted the upgrade I would need. I am going to get additional quotes and see it the upgrade is necessary.

Technician was very knowledgeable, and quick to fix the issues I was having, but wasn't the most professional technician I had ever had interaction with. He used a bit of language and joked around more than I was comfortable with. Besides that, he was very good and definitely knew what he was doing. I would recommend them.

We had the work scheduled, but I reschedule for May 15. They have been very responsive and professional so far. I plan to get a bid to replace the whole panel when they come out.

It went great. Serviceman was quick in responding, showed up within time window promised and completed the work effiiciently.

They showed up a littler earlier then expected but I'd rather have that then late. Two tech's were very friendly and took the time to answer all of my questions on my current systems and future upgrades. Overall, one of the better experiences I've had with a company.

To install the humidifier it took MVP repeated visits over a course of 2 weeks and cost me 2 full days of my time. They constantly underestimated things and did not have answers to my questions. I ended up being the one diagnosing the unit with Aprilaire tech support my self because I could not get results or answers. Finally after 6 weeks of this I contacted the manager to discuss the issue. Note I patiently tried to work with them for 6 weeks but the unit never got the humidity high enough. He never returned my phone call, never came to review the situation at the house, nothing. He emailed me telling me that Aprilaire told him the house is "loose" being 30 years old. That the air from the house was leaking out too much for the humidifier to reach the desired level of humidity. I told him that I had all new windows and new siding applied in the last year and that this was not the case. This unit is made to handle 4200 sq ft. My house is 2700 sq ft. I called Aprilaire and we tested the system manually to see if it could get the humidity up to the right level or not. In one day the unit had the humidity at the correct level. Therefore the problem was the controller. Again I had to diagnose it for them. I emailed and requested a full refund. This is a perfect case example of failing to do the job at every level. And when I contacted the manager he did not care enough to look into it. If this is what you get installing a simple humidifier I would hate to see what replacing a a/c or heating unit would require.

Great job, but I had a coupon and from the time he arrived he was looking for a reason to charge be above the advertised special price.

It was great. I have one technician that I request because he owns the same air conditioner that I have and he installed the new furnace. He spent a lot of time adjusting the lines in the basement trying to level the temperatures upstairs. They seem to be able to do everything. Also, still trying to find a cover for my attic fan that is easy to install and remove to balance the temp in the 2nd floor.

It was too expensive. The big deal helped me to get some advice and some quotes, but at the end of the day, it wasn’t that great of a deal because it didn’t work out but it had a good value. I was very impressed with the person that came out. The whole experience from top to bottom, from the person who took the call to the electrician was exceptional. I have no idea how much it would cost if somebody else came out to do it so I don’t know if it was unreasonable or not. They quoted me $350. I really liked them as a company and with a little bit of price shopping in the future, I would definitely consider them. I can’t say enough about the company and how great they were but my disappointment is probably more of a reflection of my expectation with the big deal than them as a company.

It was fantastic!! They sent us Jeff's bio and picture before arrival. He arrived on time and looked at the job and then went to get the required parts for my home. The job was done safely with the meter being pulled and the old equipment removed. They made our house safer by ensuring that our circuits were not doubled up on single breakers. He also was able to consolidate a separate old dryer breaker into the larger space new panel. Jeff was very respectfule of our house and inquisitive Australian Shepherds throughout the process. A new exterior ground rod was also installed and conduit was professional installed over it to ensure a good exterior appearance. I have worked in the electrical field and sold electrical supplies for a good portion of my career. These guys use quality product and highly trainined electricians. They did a great job and I would use and recommend them again.

This did not go as well as I had anticipated. It appears the two technicians were training each other. The bottom line is my thermostat is no longer working the way it was prior to their coming and I need it fixed. One of the technicians when looking at the thermostat said "oh, oh what have I done". The other went back to help, but neither were able to fix it.

I set up an appointment to get an electrical bid on 4/9/14. The guy showed up fine and I really liked him. Never got the bid. I called on 4/16/14 to request the bid be sent. I was told they would check out why I had not received the bid and call me right back. As of 4/21/14 I have not received the call back or the bid.
