Description of Work: The provider responded to my inquiry promptly and scheduled an estimate within a weeks time. The estimator provided me with a written quote for the cost of the work that day. It was the estimate that caught me offguard. What seemed to me to be a simple job was estimated to be over $500. Since I have not had any electrical work done in years I have no frame of reference to determine if this is the going rate today. I cannot find fault with the provider as I have no idea if the bid was too high without having competing bids. The estimate was free.The provider was cooperative and courteous even though they did not make any money from the estimate.

Description of Work: They evaluated the circuit breaker box, and determined that the present box was adequate. I appreciated the professional opinion and the information that determined their decision. Was very pleased and impressed with the integrity of the service professional.

Description of Work: I bought the big deal which was "$199 for Complete Breaker Box or Fuse Box Rewire PLUS 20 New Breakers or Fuses." I thought that's what I needed. After speaking with someone in the office, it sounded like they could possibly tailor it to what we needed. The technician came out and said it would be an additional $900-1200 approximately. Much more than I thought. I called and asked what we could do. We just can't come to an agreement and am sure we never will. I just want to get my money back and forget about this. I'm sure the company is good at what they do, but we couldn't agree on price so we can't attest to that.

Description of Work: They didn't do any service for me, the way they schedule their service appointments is they will give you a time if you are the first person on the schedule and then anyone after that they can't give you a specific time, the best they can do is call you 30 minutes in advance...

Description of Work: Excellent service from start to finish! We called MVP after another electrician from Angie's List cancelled twice. I explained our situation to Rick and he was able to schedule an appointment 2 days later. The electrician (Jeff) that came out was beyond courteous and professional. He took his time making the bid so that it was accurate. He was much more thorough than the previous 2 bids we had gotten from Master Electricians. (I feel this allowed him to be much more accurate also because there were no surprise costs in the end.) After meeting two other electricians, who did bid lower but were far less professional, I am glad we ended up with MVP! They saved the day and restored my faith in Angie's List!

Description of Work: Installed canned lighting in our living room, including our special request to install two dimmer switches for controlling different sets of lights. Was very happy with their quality and professionalism, and we are enjoying the new lighting very much.

Description of Work: Darren came and thoroughly checked out our A/C, cleaning it and making sure that it was ready for the summer. He was prompt, friendly, and courteous, even taking off or covering his shoes in the house. He told me about the MVP energy savinigs agreement that they offer, which includes yearly checking up and cleaning of both the A/C and the furnace. He told me that the yearly charge was $132.00, but if I purchased the agreement that day they would count the $59 Angie's List charge that I had already paid toward it, leaving me a balance of only $73. So that's what I did... Boy, was I ever glad that we made that decision, for barely two weeks later, the capacitor on the A/C blew out! And of course it was on a Sunday, the first of July, and the temperature was in the 80's and we were packing to leave the next day for two weeks! I hated to think what an emergency weekend repair would cost, but we called Darren's cell phone AND the company phone, and within two hours he was here and installed a new capacitor, saving us $95 over the non-member price! I would definitely recommend this company, and will continue to use their services!
