MVP Electric, Heating & Cooling

Had them scheduled for my ac tuneup and the came and checked it out and left but failed to call me on my cell phone to let me know the unit had to freon so when I got home that evening to a hot house I call them back and was informed it had no freon and they sent Anthony back out to add some and was charged for a service call for that visit. Decided to replace the whole furnace and ac unit at that time which was scheduled for the following monday. Showed up on time and did great job replacing everything and cleaned up the floors well but let mud on my white trim boards. All was paid and done and then a few days later was called back to inform me that they had forgot to charge me for certain items which added another 450 to the bill for a grand total of 10,000.00+ . Got a great furnace and ac unit and replaced the drain lines. I own my own business and if an employee forgot to charge something I would just eat the cost and never call the client back to ask for more money for OUR mistake. Maybe I'm just old fashioned but that's how I do business.

My experience with them has been pretty good. We bought an ongoing service contract with them and they've been out several times.

I have used MVP several times this year. Always reliable and up front.

They were prompt, courteous and knew what they were doing. The work was well done in a minimal amount of time.

Had whole house inspection and discovered breaker for new AC was too high, a potential fire hazard. Corrected problem and replaced with maximum rated breaker for unit. Prompt. Courteous. Dilan took the time to explain things in a way that I could understand and made sure that I was totally comfortable with the work that was done before he left. Would use again:)

I told them I was selling the house and I needed them to bring it up to inspection level that way when I sold the house the inspector wouldn't be like, oh you need to this or you need to do that. The cost ended up being quite a bit more than the Big Deal. We discussed it and it was work that needed to be done. They are responsive. They were very prompt. I initially had them to come because I had a ceiling fan upstairs. So they fixed that and they fixed the light fixture. He inspected everything, I mean the whole house, outlets and the fuse box.

I had no idea the quality of service I would get for the coupon purchase. Todd checked outlets all over the house, including basement, labeled breakers accordingly, provided a list of items that need to be changed to meet current code requirements, in case I ever want to sell this home. He also provided quotes on several items I asked about. Todd was extremely thorough and I commend him for such great service. I had used MVP in past and had referred them to a co-worker; this visit was even more impressive than the first so I have no reservations recommending MVP & Todd.

Overall this was a good experience. Our new electrical panel looks wonderful, much better than the old one. And the work was very professional and done on a good time table.

The technician came on time, was friendly and as far as I know did what he was supposed to do to check the A/C unit. I have used MVP a few times now. Initially, several months ago I bought a "whole house inspection" for $39 from Angie's List. I guess I expected more of a detailed check to see if my wiring is SAFE, but rather it was more of him sticking something into the outlets to see if they worked, which I can do with a nightlight. He did inform me that I could pay to get some outlets upgraded (usually kitchen or bath, the ones near water) which my house built in 1986 does not have. To replace one existing outlet w/ GFCI (one) was 145.57; to installl a GFCI breaker would be 229.67; to replace the existing outlet w/ GFCI (multiple) would be 131.00. We also discussed replacing other stuff (a little up-sell talk is almost always part of these Angie's List offers). To replace my whole HVAC (furnace and a/c) with the "cheap option" would be $6K..... I don't know much bout pricing in this arena but it all sounded high to me. Never-the-less I did purchase a Service Partner Plan with MVP Electric which gave me 2 seasonal tune ups (check furnace in Fall, check A/C in Spring), 15% off work, no emergency dispatch fee a savings of $75, and 'priority scheduling'. I have had MVP Electric back to install an outside light fixture on my deck (replaced an old one) and to install two NEST smoke alarms. I think they do good work, are polite, timely, but they are definitley not the cheapest in their field.

The electrician (Jacob)was prompt, efficient, courteous. He did an excellent job explaining electrical house issues & completing the services needed. We would hire this company again.

He was good. I would use him in the future.

I purchased a coupon from MVP Electrical for $110 which was to be for $225 worth of services. Initially, I was going to have to flat screen tvs installed. The gentlemen who responded in April advised me that this would cost a total of over $800 and that I would need to come up with an additional $600. I declined and did the work myself when I had some free time. So since we already paid for the coupon, we bought a new ceiling fan for our bedroom and decided to replace the existing fan. My wife said the gentleman who responded was very friendly and professional but we were extremely disappointed to be charged an additional $25 for the service. Having seen other companies on Angies List offer coupons for ceiling fan installs as cheap as $99 makes me wish I would have gone with a different company. Further, it was only replacing an already wired and existing ceiling fan. It seemed like a fairly simple task and he was in and out in less than 45 min. Just doesn't seem equal to $250 worth of services. The service was good and I have no complaints about the gentleman who responded. However, I feel the price and coupon are very misleading. I would advise to get an estimate before purchasing any of their offers.

I really appreciate the Angie's list deals. Unfortunately, I was not available for the service call. An out-of-town relative was here instead so I don't know details but he had no complaints.

The technician showed up on time, but was not very experienced/knowledgeable. She spent more than 1/2 the time in her car discussing my furnace situation with supervisor. After the inspection was done and my filter changed, I received a very large number of repair suggestions. I was aware of the need for most of them, but was not ready to commit to purchasing at that time. The technician was rather pushy and seemed irritated when I declined the service.

They were running a special and I had both of our homes hvac units cleaned. Very prompt and courteous service. They suggested a few things but we're not pushy which I appreciated. Good experience and I would call them again

Went very well. Everything checked out to be OK.

Electrician went through house to check all outlets, smoke detectors, electrical box etc. he then made recommendations on what issues he found that should be addressed and provide a quote for those services.

Very detailed, very professional and thorough. No objections to me observing and patient with my questions. I will certainly use them again.

Went well - provider was punctual and installed the outlet very quickly and kept the wiring very neat and the area clean. Went very well.

Repair person was prompt and courteous; however, he wired the triple switch backward, so the one closest to the light fixture was the farthest away switch. We also felt that the price was a bit steep. Even with the coupon, we paid over 400.00.

We had our A/C tune-up back in May and went to start it up this past week and it wasn't working. It was a Sunday afternoon and I called in not expecting anyone to come over but he came over within the hour and fixed our A/C and didn't charge me a dime. WOW..Client for life!
