Mr. Handyman of NE Johnson County

This was the worst experience EVER. We called and they were out right away to provide a quote and work. However, the quality of the work was poor at best. In a brand new wall (that they installed), the holes for the light fixture and electrical outlets were too big. There was a gap between this new wall and a soffit. The air vent cutout was also too big. Paint on the trim. In the bathroom where they 'installed' tile, the 'handyman' cut the hole for the toilet too big and the toilet does not cover the hole. The 'handyman' was sloppy with the thin set and it was left on the tub, dry wall and door frame. I have sent pictures to the office (granted on a Saturday, but they did respond late on a Friday evening) explaining our experience and the fact we are potentially going to miss a contractual agreement for a new house because of this. Completely disappointed. I should have done the work myself.

Contractor came in and found some caulking missing and re-caulked just that area. Why not the entire window? Five minutes of work for $154 is ridiculous.

All interactions were done on a professional and timely basis. No mystery. I did a small bit of touch up myself, but only to bring the job to my standards. Work completed as promised, on time. That's all I ask of any contractor!

My only complaint was it seemed a little pricey for a few hours of work but I understand this is an insured company and they have overheads so I realize it should cost more than an independent handyman.

This company is very professional and has great communication. I had an exterior door installed. The service was friendly and the technician even hauled away my old door at no charge. Price was reasonable too. I will definitely hire again!

First they showed up to give me an estimate and said if I wanted them to give me an estimate it would cost $150 which would be deducted from the final bill if I used them. Which was fin but I think they should have mentioned that before they showed up. The service man showed up on time but did not bring any of the hardware which should have been included in the estimate and was not sure what he was suppose to do, I had to pint out every thing that I had requested and he eneded up having to make 2 trips to the hardware store for materials. The estimate was for materials and labor at $90 /hr. He had 4 hrs labor of which a big share of was 2 trips for hardware plus one trip I made to pick up hardware for him and he still did not have what he needed to complete the job so I finished it myself. So he had 4 hrs labor ( much of which was multiple trips to the hardware store and trying to fique ot how to use his ipad , which should have come to $360 . My total bill came to $942 which means they billed me for $ 582 for materials but i doubt that materils came to more than half that amount. They say you can pay by credit card but when he finished he did not knowhow to bill it to a credit card so I had to write a check, The final bill did not break down the materials and labor but just had a total. I need a receipt for materials and labor but when I requested one they said they could not break it down. Now I work field service myself and I have to break down my hours and list all materials . How can you run a busliness if you cant even do that???
