Mr. Handyman of NE Johnson County

The guy who came to do our job was very friendly and nice but we didn't get what we were told was going to happen and when I got the estimate it said the amount wouldn't go up but could go down because of the labor estimate and the first thing that happened when he walked in the door is to tell me the estimate was wrong and the price of course went up.

Pete was fantastic (NO). Update, the second day I had a plugged in fan burn up. The receptacles were all loose and not to code. I called and they sent a great electrician out and he did a complete redue on everything. I still have one receptacle too low to clear my workbench which I specifically asked for the proper clearance. I will use them again only because when I called about the problem they sent someone out immediately and he knew what he was doing. Still am disappointed that I will have to raise one receptacle so it will clear my workbench. Would have upgraded them to all five stars if I still didn't have to raise one receptacle.

Some problem with billing. Not a big problem.

They were on time and did the work in a timely fashion. Will be using them again.

Spoke with a few contractors and Mr Handyman assured me they could match prices of competitors. The associate that showed up seemed I'll equipped and had to leave to make three trips to the hardware store. He ruined one of the outlets already existing to the point that spackle and texture had to be readded. He then rushed that process so the spackle and subsequent paint did not dry properly, and had to be repainted again the next day. All the electrical switches that were added are also crooked.

On time, honest, knowledgeable

The project was a basic repair to vertical and horizontal cracks in sheetrock and along with cracks around the metal corner between the wall and the ceiling. Repair required stabilization of the metal corner and the sheetrock above corner and taping and re-mudding of joints. Over a period of several months, Mr Handyman sent 3 top sheetrock technicians to repair the area, each time the work was not satisfactory. Finally I hired another contractor to properly repair the area. It took him just one time. I contacted the owner of this franchise and he agreed to refund half of the $700 plus. That has never happened. I contacted his business again in Dec. 2017 and the office manager promised that the owner would call me back as soon as he got off the phone. He never returned my phone call or refund the amount that he agreed to.

The professional was very nice and did a great job. For the most part, he cleaned up the rotted wood and nails from my yard but did miss some.

I hired them to install plastic over my windows in two different bedrooms. They were very knowledgeable about what they did and very personable. They did an awesome job.

Worker was courteous and finished job quickly. I didn't expect to have my screens made and installed on the same day, so I was very pleasantly surprised at the level of customer service provided.

Repaired roof trim and did excellent job, even in 18 degree weather!

They called me about my project immediately and were able to schedule someone for the following day, giving me a 2-hour window for arrival. (He came an hour later than that, though.) Some communication issues regarding what was needed, but the handyman was conscientious and careful, and did the work well and to my satisfaction.

Mr. Handyman was prompt and the final cost was equal to the estimate provided to me before the work started.

Mr. Handyman came the next day to give me an estimate. He was less expensive than 3 others and explained the work needed in detail. Finished the job within a day and a half, went above and beyond what I expected. Office kept me informed every step of the way. Excellent company, definitely recommend them!!
