In February, Josh Dukes (hope I got the last name right) was the technician who came to my house to do inside and outside service. I have had an ongoing problem with mice for about 2 years. Even though I feel like the problem is getting under control, Josh gave me some new suggestions to seal off some possible points of entry and tips for watching for activity and placing traps. He did a great job of checking and treating throughout my house. Send Josh my way for the next service at my house.

Sales person stopped by and offered me a discount for a one-time treatment. I agreed to it as he told me "cancel any time - no problem". Well, he didn't mention that the company expects you to buy 4 more treatments at full price. Since I didn't need further treatment, I attempted to cancel my service, but the company wanted to charge me around $400 for "getting out of contract early". So much for being neighbourly. As for service, they showed up while I was on vacation w/o giving me a chance to confirm/change the appointment. Since I wasn't home I couldn't actually verify that I had a treatment, but I did pay for it.

We have been customers of Insight for a few years. We were customers of Radius Pest Solutions before Insight bought Jeremy out. Under Jeremy it was going very well and the service was very thorough (inside and outside spraying without question). After Insight took over it has gone "downhill" dramatically. I've called and asked numerous times that I want the inside of the home sprayed at each service (we pay by the year) but they said that I would have to call back each time when we receive the automated phone call and let them know I wanted the inside sprayed--ummm, really? They can't note that on my account? Annoying but whatever.....I see this as them trying to deter themselves from doing extra work (inside and out spraying). I was irritated by this but dealt with it BUT recently I had a very annoying situation. Heads up--when the service professional shows up, they come to the door to say they are there and leave when they're done without notification even if you owe money for that service. SO, our year had run up but the worker didn't tell us so I just figured they'd send a bill in the mail. Within 5 days I had an Insight customer service person from North Carolina calling and saying he needed to collect that money over the phone. I asked him I would pay it when I received a bill in the mail or if their professional would have given me one in person--previously it had been this way. He said the bill had been sent 2 days prior to him calling me--so I asked, then why are you calling me and acting like collections. I told him I'd pay the bill when it gets to me via the mail. Two days later--I received the bill in the mail and later that night received ANOTHER collection call from Insight telling me I needed to pay. I've been a great customer--always paying for the year all at once because the servicemen used to notify us our year was up when they'd get done spraying and I'd write a check right then and there but now the servicemen seem like they don't want hardly any contact with their customers. I felt like I was being treated like a customer who was trying to get out of a payment (far from the truth) and so I told the customer service rep to cancel any/all further service from them. He tried to offer all kinds of things--including a discount but with the declining in-person service and then being treated like I was a customer trying to "dodge" payment via collection calls after only a few days (within a week) after the service and not receiving a bill--I.was.done!! I'll never recommend them and it stinks because I'm very dedicated/loyal to businesses.

I contacted this company after they solicited me twice, with a 'NO SOLICITATION' sign on my door. Instead of simply apologizing, and perhaps placing me on a do not contact list, they decided to completely treat me as if I were born yesterday and inform me of made up rules of why it is ok to solicit me!! I called Brittney at the Lenexa office, to inform them that their sales people are not reading my no solicitation sign on my front door. She informed me that the EPA overrules solicitation signs, because it has to do with informing me of my neighbors pest control services, (while they solicit for my business), and had something to do with my safety! Being concerned for my health, I tried to look up this rule with the EPA, to no avail. I then called Insight headquarters, and spoke with "Antoinette", who was very nice, but she gave me a completely different answer. She informed me that their company goes by the county rules, and allows a solicitor of their type, to disregard the NO SOLICITATION sign, but could not give me a logical reason, and told me to find out from my county! I also called my local police department, and they told me no such rule exists. I am writing this complaint, because I am sick of sales people ignoring a posted request to not solicit me. There are different reasons for different people of why we go through the trouble of posting those signs, and they are not respected. If there are such laws in place, I would suggest they teach those laws company wide, so they don't have to all make something else up to excuse their disregard for other laws, such as solicitation laws. Perhaps when they get negative reviews, they might start respecting privacy. I live in Johnson County Kansas, and I looked up the actual ordinance, NO. SOL-2406, which states: 5.64.010 Definitions. J. "Solicit" and "Solicitation" as used in this chapter mean and include any one or more of the following: 1. Selling or offering for sale, or taking or attempting to take orders for the sale of goods or services of any kind, character or description; A "Solicitation" as defined herein shall be deemed completed when made, whether or not the Person making the same receives any contribution or makes any sale. 5.64.020 Prohibited acts. A. It shall be unlawful for any Solicitor to ring the bell, or knock on the door, or otherwise attempt to gain admittance for the purpose of soliciting at a residence, dwelling or Individual Dwelling Unit in a Multi-Family Dwelling Complex at which a sign bearing the words "No Solicitors," "No Trespassers," or words of similar import indicating that such Persons are not wanted on the premises, is painted, affixed or otherwise exposed to public view;

They were very nice and professional, but I just don’t need a quarterly package, which is what they wanted to sell. We couldn’t agree on what we needed.

Excellent!! The technicians are very proficient and the price was the price; they didn't try to nickle and dime you to death. We have a lot of spiders, small crawling things, and mice. Since Insight started I have only caught one mouse (in great, baited traps they provided), all crawly things are dead, gone, or caught in the "sticky traps" they provided. I haven't seen a single bug "inside" the house for the entire year. They also do two things I think are great: 1) they use a long handled brush of some kind to wipe and clean our under the eaves of the house to get rid of spiders, etc. and 2) they put a "protective" barrier of something all around the base of the house that apparently keeps things out or kills them. They are also helpful, friendly, and efficient! They used "electonic" communications to let you know when they are coming, as well as billing etc. They also have an option so I can pay for the entire year and save a little. I highly recommend Insight!

This is a local franchise. Their total service package offered is good in that it includes spraying part of the yard. But if you only want one or the other, not both, then this is not for you. There are cheaper alternatives. Their concept is good; but their execution is bad. They call and leave a message telling you when they will be out to spary your yard. They never call to schedule an inside spray. I always have to call them to come back. I feel like they are counting on customers to not call back for the interior spray. Their philosophy is to keep the exterior treated as a barrier so you won’t have to spray the interior; but we have yet to be bug free in our house even after four treatments. Last time they came, I watched the technician spray the exterior. He did NOT spray as much of the yard as demonstrated by the salesman and depicted in the sales literature. I will say that the staff is very friendly and try to be accommodating; but the business is not really structured to accommodate customers individually. It is more of a cookie cutter approach in that they come spray the outside of the houses based on a route and on their schedule. We have asked both verbally and in writing for them to call and schedule both sprays to be done at the same time. That has yet to happen. They just show up while we are at work and leave a bill on our door. We don’t know if they actually sprayed or how much of the yard they sprayed like they were supposed to. Would I hire this company for a future job? No - for what they want to do, the local hardware or home improvement stores offer exterior treatments much cheaper.

We've been overall happy with them. I'd give them a B+ in price. We've definitely seen a difference since they've started spraying. There are no issues with scheduling, and they're very punctual and courteous. They call ahead and confirm that the dates are OK. They're very professional and do a good job following up with you about what they've done.

I was happy with them when they were smaller, but now that they’re bigger I don’t think they do as well. I think they charge too much. They’re also frequently late and not very responsive. I’m thinking about looking elsewhere.

I’ve had a mixed experience with them. The people are fine – they’re very nice and professional – but the results are not thrilling. The price is not bad ($99/quarter). I have another offer from another company, and may I end up looking around.

They do great work and we'll be staying with them. We've definitely seen a difference in terms of termites. Prior to their coming out, they provide an electronic phone message, which makes it slightly more difficult to tailor the services you need (I'd give them an A- for scheduling). They're very responsive and punctual, though, and they are very responsible in letting you know if there are any scheduling difficulties.

They're very good! I've used their annual plan before, but now I just use them when I need it. They're very thorough! I'd used one of their competitors before, and I'd say Insight is more dependable, more professional, and their customer service is much better. They call ahead of time and make scheduling very painless.

I'm usually not home when they spray, but we've seen good results from their work. I have seen a few competitors with better pricing, so I may price around. I'd recommend them to those in need of a good service, though.

They're very good! They'll come out quarterly and whenever I need them. I also like family-owned businesses. Their prices are pretty reasonable (especially compared to some of their competitors). It's definitely made a difference since they've started spraying. They're also very professional -- they wear booties, are in nice uniforms, and show you their badges. I'd recommend them!

I've always been happy with them! They always leave a message before they come out. They're very pleasant, clean, tidy, and professional! I think the price was reasonable and I was satisfied with the quality of their work. Highly recommended to those in need of the service.

Right after they came out for the quarterly visit, I was invaded by ants! I had to wait about 2 weeks to get them to come out, and I wish there was a faster turn-around time. That wait was my only issue with them. I usually don't see them spray when they're out here, and I've never had any issues with the technicians that come out.

They were very professional and made me feel like I was their only client. One of the owners came out on the first visit along with three of his employees. I appreciated their attention and feel like they are doing an excellent job. They told me what I was signing up for and they did exactly what they said they would do. I would definitely recommend them.

Phone call 3 business days ahead announced the service date. Service tech check with us if all was going well, and to see if any further service was required inside. He treated the outside of the home and then checked back in to confirm the work was one and he went on his way.

They are always prompt and very understanding in the event that I need to reschedule. They are flexible and all the guys are really nice.

The person from Insight arrived and sprayed the inside and out as they told me they would do. They schedule the followups and have already been out for one of them. They appeared very professional, courteous and punctual. I will consider using them next year too.

We have quarterly pest control with Insight Pest Solutions and have used them for about 2 years. We started using them when our previous pest control company would not address a flying insect issue that we had. I spoke to Jeremy about helping out and he promptly arrived and took care of the situation for us. I switched to Insight on the spot and have been pleased ever since. The quarterly service includes both interior and exterior, but we typically only have exterior treatments performed. About once per year, we request to have the interior done just to keep everything under control. The exterior treatment includes the typical spraying, but also includes a broadcast of granules to create a wider barrier around the home. They also remove any webs from under the porch, eaves, etc. We will definitely continue to use them!

Insight has been a great provider for pest control. Not only do they provide the quarterly service, but also take care of any pest needs as they arise. On this visit and with any visit, Eric met me at the door and asked about any special treatment for this round. We have seen a few spiders and silverfish so he treated the interior for those pests, as well as the exterior for the winter servicing.
