Granite Center Inc

KC Granite Center Inc are scammers. They will do lousy job and likely Larry, Peter and Tony (owner) want your money first and will not respond or follow up. They caused leak in my house and will not fix the damage. There work was sloppy and dirty and they won’t return to fix the issues. Larry is the worst sales person and never returns calls or responds. They are scammers, run to another place and save your money. Hire a lawyer, we are suing and cancelled our checks.

BUYER BEWARE If you are considering buying tile/countertops from Granite Center Inc, on Quivira Rd, Lenexa, please be aware that if you have any issues with installation or otherwise, your customer service response might be as terrible as ours. My daughter's car was parked on the left-hand side of our driveway prior to the installation crew arriving. The install crew backed their van onto our driveway to allow themselves better access for the cutting/installation of the bathroom countertops. The camera on our garage caught the movement onto the drive prior to and after the van was moved, but did not capture the actual incident. There was, however, clear evidence that the passenger side wing mirror had been moved, in the before and after pictures. After the installation crew had left, my daughter realized that her wing mirror mounting had been broken sometime after the installation crew had arrived at our house. We called the Granite Center and took her car to their shop. Peter, the Installation Manager, said the crew would come around to our house to discuss. When they arrived, they stated they had moved her mirror, but not broken it, and that it had been obviously broken for some time. Her car had been with a mechanic 3 days earlier, with no damage at all. The crew told their Inside Sales rep that the mirror was not broken when they moved it, and also the car was on the other side of the driveway. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the damage, and completely conflicting accounts, from their installation crew, of what had occurred, Granite Center manager/owner Tony has refused to reply to multiple emails and phone calls since 1 May. The installation manager’s answer is still the same "do what you want, we did not damage your daughter's car".

First and most positive, I think the granite, back splash, sink and faucet that were installed look very nice. The granite, plumbing & tile installers worked really hard & I did appreciate that. Kudos to the granite guys in particular for bringing in & installing the big countertop that did not have any seams. I was actually surprised by the no seam(s) after speaking with the salesperson, Larry. The granite install guys did some hard work! The only down side to that install was the language barrier. The lead installer was as nice and professional as could be but I could not understand a single word he said. As for the plumbing, the sink & faucet look great. Sadly, the sink started leaking the next night. That was very disappointing and inconvenient. Rather than trying to find out when someone could come back & figure out the problem, then having to take more time off of work, my husband made a trip to Home Depot and fixed the leak himself. We think the problem was reusing the sink drain from our old sink. If someone would have told us to purchase a new one to have on hand for the install, we most definitely would have done so. The fix my husband worked, but IMO the issue could have been prevented. Last, but not least regarding the sink install, there was again a language barrier. I couldn’t understand any of his questions & he couldn’t understand any of mine. The tile install was pretty flawless. The installer was very hard working & didn’t even take a break for lunch. The tile looks great & again I did appreciate all of his hard work. Thankfully, I could communicate with him. That was a big plus! As a final note, I contacted The Granite Center with this same feedback as I wanted to let them know especially about the leaky sink. I did not hear 1 word back from them. I was expecting at least an acknowledgment regarding the bad sink install & maybe even an apology for my husband having to fix the problem, but nothing. That is mostly the reason that I would not use this company again.

I had the worst customer experience of my life with granite center inc. We had all of our granite and sinks picked out and two days prior to the set install we received a call from Jerry stating that the sink we ordered two weeks ago would not be in and if we didn't pick a different sink it was going to push our install back by two weeks. I declined to change to a different sink, which was black. At this time Jerry stated that I was making everyone's job more difficult by not just going with a different sink. I was very upset and asked for an apology because I felt that was a rude thing to say. Jerry became very upset and starting cursing and saying I had an attitude. It was at this time that I decided that I could no longer do business with a company that was not only deceitful (he tried to tell me he ordered the sink a month ago when I inquired as to when it was ordered, yet we only selected the custom order sink 2 weeks prior) but had such poor customer service. To make matters worse Jerry is now talking with other subcontractors working on my house, intentionally trying to make things difficult. I would also like to state that we went that same day to another granite company and selected the same exact sink and they were able to get the sink in the next day with no issues at all. I have never gone out of my way to leave a bad review for a company before, but this situation was so awful that I felt compelled to let others know so they could save themselves the heartbreak that I went though losing all of the beautiful granite that I so painstakingly selected over a sink that shouldn't of been an issue.

They were on time. Top removal was quick. Their estimated installation time was right on the money. Installation was perfect, no flaws. Brenda, James and Jerry were all very personable. It was a pleasure dealing with the company and will definitely use them again.

They were good all the way around. They were very quick and they cleaned up after themselves. Three guys came and they're super friendly. They were the best price.

Very professional crew. I was very impressed. They were very careful. Brenda was great to work with.

They quoted twice on my bathroom vanity and twice they called a day or two before the install date and said they made a mistake on the quote and that the price would be higher. They already had my deposit and the quotes were in writing. They refused to honor either quote. I told them to forget it on the vanity but to install the bar top they had quoted. When they installed the bar top and sink, they tried to charge me an extra $45 for the sink drain! After all the issues we had gone through, I thought this was really nickel - dime. Also, their website says they are a member of NARI and that they are an accredited member of the BBB. According to the NARI website, they are not a member. According to the BBB website, they are not accredited. I my opinion, that is false advertising! I didn't check the other designations on their website. Their refusal to honor written quotes TWICE shows a lack of integrity and fair business practices. I will never recommend the Granite Center in Lenexa to anyone!

The granite is flawed with many pit holes. When I complained, they sent a team to fill the holes. In the next week, the holes began to reappear. When I complained, one of the installers told my contractor that the slab of granite that was used was flawed. Then the manager denied this saying that this was and quot;typicaland quot; of this pattern. There are now more emerging holes on the surface of this granite. I never have seen true granite tops with holes. In addition, during the installation of the granite top, one of the top cabinet doors was badly dented.

Installation and clean up were good and efficient. Installers were professional and pleasant. Working with the sales person was like playing the shell game. Costs seemed to move around to other items some and was confusing. As we worked with them on pricing we were told any pricing concession would come at the expense of the sale person's commission. Didn't like hearing that and made me feel guilty. Maybe that was their plan, I don't know. We considered not going with Granite Center and using Granite Tops, who we were impressed with, but had already invested time with Granite Center. Installers were professional and efficient (except for a 2 hour lunch which left us wondering when they were going to return). Overall the installers did a great job and didn't' waste time while in our kitchen. Installation took most of the day, which we expected. We probably would do business with them again, but if they do the shell game with costs, I'd probably go somewhere else. Trust is important and at times we weren't sure if we were getting played.

They were excellent. I was very, very pleased. They were prompt and very thorough. They stand by their products. The backsplash looks fabulous and the granite looks excellent. Their price was very competitive.

They were excellent, I liked everything about them. I shopped all across the city and I found their price to be lower and I did find other places to have lower prices, but I wasn't happy with the set up and the way the company was. I asked Granite to match the price and they did, they came out on time and worked with our schedule, because they had to go into a house, which was still occupied, and they had to finish it before my house warming party. They worked with my schedule perfectly, they finished the job in 4-5 hours and the guy who had come in, was a plumber as well, and he took care of disconnecting and re-connecting the lines. They took all the precautions that they could, and there was no damage, they were very professional, and I was extremely happy with what they did.

I had contracted and gave a deposit to a company that went out of business and Granite Center stepped in and took the contract and honored the bid and I was tickled with that because it was a very good price. They did a nice job.

I called several places in the KC area to replace our kitchen countertops with granite. Out of all the places, Granite Center was by far the most professional and gave me a and quot;ballparkand quot; quote initially over the phone that was not far off from their final estimate. Everyone we have talked to and worked with at Granite Center has been very professional and helpful. The counters are not yet installed but I feel very comfortable that they will stand behind their product. I will update this review once they are installed.

Granite Center is the absolute best in the city for granite countertops. The entire experience was fantastic from the original consultation and quoting by Brenda all the way thru the measurements and installation by Eferem's team. They were on time and did a fantastic job both removing our old countertops and installation of our new granite. There was no mess and the team left my kitchen completely clean and looking fantastic.

HEARD ABOUT GRANITE CENTER FROM A FRIEND, SO DECIDED TO CHECK THEM OUT. WE WERE WAITED ON BY JERRY. VERY HELPFUL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. SHOWED US AROUND THE WAREHOUSE WHERE THE SLABS OF GRANITE ARE. PICKED OUT WHAT WE LIKED, NEGOTIATED THE PRICE AND SCHEDULED THE INSTALL. THEY CAME OUT AND CREATED A TEMPLATE SCHEDULED US TO COME IN FOR PLACEMENT ON THE GRANITE THEN INSTALL THE FOLLOWING WEEK. EVERYTHING WENT SMOOTHLY AND ON TIME. COULDN'T BE HAPPIER. GOOD PLACE TO GO

The overall experience was very good, the installer's were very good and very detail orientated installing the tops and the back splash. They hauled all the old counter tops away and did a good job of cleaning up. It was an excellent job and I would recommend Granite Center.

Easy to work with, they wanted to make it right so that we were pleased.

The time and date of installation was fixed with the sales person (Brenda). The sales person took the sample back (mistake)after giving us the quote and confirming the order. The installers came before time and the Granite slabs seem to look different from the sample we agreed on. However, having no sample to compare with, I had to go back to shop to confirm the choice of Granite. Sales person should have left the sample with the customer. However, the installers were very professional, understanding and patient. Did an excellent job, and did not seem to be in a hurry (refreshing to see this). One of the partners (owner) was was in the installation team. Excellent job, the installers should get an A+ instead of just an A. Very highly recommended.

The estimate went quickly and Brenda was very nice. The bid came in at half the price as some of the competitors. They have a nice showroom to see all the product. Install day came and in less than 8 hours they had the entire job done. I found a weight that was supposed to go on the faucet line and they came right out to put it on for us a day later. Very pleased with the entire experience.

After an acquaintance's recommendation and two other bids were submitted, I decided to have Granite center perform the work I wanted done. The final result looks good and overall I am pleased with it. Existing countertop and tile backsplash were removed and replaced with new product along with the plumbing performed after sink installation. There were a few miscues along the way though.First off, when they were installing the countertop I noticed that it was cut for a 60/40 undermount sink. I had requested a 40/60 undermount. After some discussion with the installation manager I agreed to the 60/40 undermount. I was told the plumbing would be done by a plumber. It was done by one of the granite and tile installers. After project was completed I had to redo all the plumbing after finding there were leaks from both sink drain flanges, incorrect installation of the garbage disposal and leaks from the plumbing to the wall. I could have saved myself $250 which is what I was charged for the supposed plumber installation.Slate tile was installed that was sveral different colors. Some of the tile placements could have been seperated by color better than what was done. The outside edges of the tile to the painted wall was grouted with the same used for in between the tiles and is not the neatest look that I have seen.After the project was completed and the installers were gone I noticed that the leading edge of the countertop at the seam was dull and discolored. I called my saleswoman (after the sale was made I always was connected to someone else and never got to talk to her again) and was connected to another employee that told me someone would come by to correct the issue the next time they had someone in the area. After waiting a week I called and complained about the customer service. Finally got an appointment for someone to come and repair the seam edge.Overall the appearance is good. The cost was good. Just a few problems that kept the experience from being excellent.

We went with another company but not for any strong reason.

.It was a very hard pressure sales. They ended up selling me something I really didn't want. They promised to have the hole cut out for the sink and they didn't do it. When I called about some questions I had he hung up on me. They are to high priced and just not good people to deal with. It was an aweful experience.

They did a great job. No question was silly. And we asked a lot! Loved working with Jerry and Brenda! They did a flawless job on our counter-tops! I definitely recommend them to anyone looking to put granite in their home.

I spent some time looking for the right company to install granite in my Kitchen. I got estimates from Nebraska Furniture Mart, Lowe's and Home Depot. To my surprise Granite Center, Inc had the best estimate. In addition, none of the other and quot;big boxand quot; stores could beat the knowledge and professionalism of the staff I encountered at Granite Center Inc. My Journey at Granite Center Inc, began with a trip to the showroom. Once I stepped foot in the door I realized that regardless of price, this was the company I wanted to do business with. I was promptly greeted by James who introduced the company and took us on a tour of the showroom and the warehouse.The best part about Granite Center is that the slabs are onsite and they are fabricated onsite. After I chose the type of granite I wanted, I was able to pick my own slab. Once that was completed, I was able to set up the appointments for the template and the installation. What I liked best is that all of this could have been completed in a matter of days instead of weeks that the other stores gave for an installation timeline. From start to finish the entire project took 15 days that was only because I was traveling out of town for work. In all, it probably would have only taken 5 days start to finish to complete the project. The guy that came to do the template did so promptly and precisely. There was one snafu on installation day but it was immediately addressed. They had one day on their calendar and I had another. I actually ended up missing my install time but when I called and mentioned I had a different date, they asked if they could come and quot;nowand quot; and they did and installed promptly. I opted to have the Granite Center plumber install the sink that I ordered. The installation went well but it had a small leak that I noticed the next day. I called Granite Center and they immediately sent the plumber back out and he resolved the leak. Overall this was a great company to work with and I will consider them again to replace the bathroom counter tops.
