The did very god at detailing their bid including the types of paint they would be using. This was a determining factor for us.

I did not select the lowest bid. In fact this was the highest. The commitments made in terms of communication, management, process, length of job, and quality were not met. There were way too many people involved in the process and the owner/salesperson never responded to my email messages even in the midst of problems. After him came the unresponsive scheduler, a manager, a foreman, and 6 different individuals who worked on this room over 7 or 8 days spanning 4 months when the job itself was supposed to be completed in two days. The finished product is nothing to brag about. They just didn't seem to know what they were doing or how to fix the problems they created in the process. There were multiple problems that had to be pointed out repeatedly before they were addressed. Even then, most were addressed inadequately. They knew from the start exactly what they were supposed to do...and then back tracked and said "that's normally not included". The issues were clear when the estimate was done and were the primary reason that I was not doing it myself. The people were pleasant, but I just question the competence and mnagement of the entire staff.

I received several bids for painting the inside of my house. CertaPro was the least expensive. But that's not the reason I chose them. Even if they had been more expensive, I still would have chosen them because I was so impressed with the professionalism of the estimate from Dan. Everything was clearly spelled out in an easy to understand way. I was left with the feeling of utmost confidence that this was the right partner for the job. That confidence was realized with the work itself. The team did a stellar job. They arrived promptly every morning and got right to work. Their professionalism matched only by the quality of the paint job. Kyle, Mike and Chico did all the work, and did it well. A nice group of friendly, hard working guys. I'm thrilled with the results, and the care they took to execute the work. I would HIGHLY recommend CertaPro. I plan to use them again for the exterior and other interior areas of my house.

Everything went fine until the time we signed the contract. There was confusion between the salesperson, Dan, and the scheduler, Shawn, that led to a delay. Once in contact with Shawn I reminded him that we needed their best crew due to the intricate trim on the exterior of our home (this was discussed with Dan initially). I was told we would need to wait a couple of additional weeks before their best crew would be available, which was fine. It's important to note that the exterior trim was all that we wanted painted. The job foreman, Earl, arrived on 10/5/15 to do a final walkthrough before starting on 10/6/15 (this was earlier than expected which was great). We walked through everything and discussed some additional interior and exterior work we wanted to get pricing for. Earl told me that we were looking at about 2 weeks of work before they would be finished. There are likely only a few weeks left in the season before the weather turned too cold to do exterior painting so it appeared as though we were just going to make it. I just received a call from Shawn and he informed me that after talking with Earl, they felt they wouldn't be able to meet our expectations due to the complexity of the project and therefore thought it was best to back out. This was surprising because Earl gave no indication that there were any concerns on his part during the walk through. This is incredibly disappointing in that I was crystal clear with our salesperson, Dan, on what needed to be done from the first time I met with him and there was never any hesitation on his part. We don't have time to engage another contractor at this point and will now have to wait until Spring time. Update 11/16/15: I'm posting this after reading the owner's response to my initial comment. This company clearly has an issue with communication, both internal and external. I'm not sure what she is referring to when stating "The member was requesting services that is outside of scope of service that we offer". I hired them to paint the exterior trim of our home and was considering adding some interior work. We requested their best crew so I wouldn't have to worry about sloppy work. This had clearly been communicated from day 1. If you are considering this vendor pay close attention to their overall feedback and compare it. Others appear to be doing a much better job of running their companies and as a result have earned significantly better feedback.

We've used professional painters before, and the painting, bid and quality of work were all equivalent or better to others we have used. The paint crews deserve special recognition for working hard and representing their company well. The purpose of this review is to acknowledge the extra effort CertaPro showed when, after the original living room job was complete, we decided that the result was not what we had intended- it was an issue of color choice and not quality of work. During the bid process we discussed our limitations with color choice and took advantage of a consultation arranged through CertaPro. Using the consultation we chose a color and went ahead with the job. The paint job was done exactly as requested, however at the completion of the project it was clear to us that the choice was not working. We reached out to CertaPro and they worked with us to resolve the problem to our complete satisfaction. It is important to note that this was not an issue of work quality, yet CertaPro worked with us when they certainly were within their rights to say the job was done as bid. They really went farther than they were required and the whole process was completed in a amicable and professional manner. Customer service can be a challenge, especially when there are elements of creativity and choice involved. In this case CertaPro went beyond and worked hard to give us what we wanted.

It went very well. They are good. I have used him twice. I have had one issue with them painting my office, but that was just scheduling conflict with one of their employees but besides that they are done great work for me.

My experience was nice. I just thought they were a little bit pricy.

The do a great job. I own a company that manages 500 houses. We've had them primarily doing exterior but it would include both interior and exterior. I will absolutely use them again.

They did an initial quote and then they did quotes that had additional options. We ended up going with someone else cheaper. He was nice, informative, and stayed for about an hour and answered all of our questions. I would have them out again because of the guy that came out.

The work was good but I had gotten an estimate last April and they told me that it would be like six weeks that they had a rain day then I called them again in July. It did not get done until I called in December and said ?If you come this week then we need to get this done?. So scheduling was a nightmare. The work was great and the workers were fine but scheduling was a nightmare from my personal experience. What happened was, they called in July on a Wednesday and said they can be here on Friday but I work and I don?t want somebody to be inside my house while I?m not here. I asked them to re-schedule but they said that they will get back to me. They will not give me a definite date even though it had been months since we originally scheduled for it. They just would not commit until finally it was Christmas week and I insisted for them to do the work. I sent an email that they have to be here in three days. When the work was done, the office called to see if I am satisfied with the work but I could talk to him at that time because I was with my client and said that he will just call back but he never got back at me. I think he called for a survey and I was able to tell him that the work and workers were great but I was not happy with the scheduling. The workers were wonderful and they did a good job. The workers were great but it was the scheduling that was a nightmare.

It was excellent. It looks great. They worked fast and hard, and they made sure I was happy with it.

They gave me a bid for a job I wanted done. They quoted me for the total exterior paint job for a two story four bedroom house.

First crew did terrible job and was very rude. Second crew had to fix everything. Took over a month to complete a four day job.

Called for an estimate for painting the exterior front of my house. Was told someone would be by on Tuesday the 23rd and leave it at the house, I didn't see an estimate there and I got a message from someone there at the company the next day, but when I called back I had to leave a message, he never called back and there was nothing in my email. The thing is, when I originally called in I was asked how I heard about their company and I told them "Angies List" They have to realize I would write a review of their response and work. I wish it was a good one, most of the folks with Angie's are top notch and I will choose another from the list.

Everything went as it should. Crew showed up on time every day and left the area clean each night. There were some minor areas where the craftsmanship could have been better but nothing that would concern most.

We had an excellent experience with CertaPro Painters (Merriam, KS). Our initial visit from Dan Fiser was very pleasant. Dan is great to work with. All of our questions were answered in detail, which was important to us. He took the time to walk around the house and explain the process. My wife met with the color specialist, an excellent service provided at no additional cost. Their conversations about colors were very helpful. The crew did another walk around before they started, listening to all of my concerns and addressing them. They were very respectful not to damage any of our landscaping. Janae Nezerka worked very hard to line up the specific crew we requested, which was going above and beyond. Detailed paperwork describing the process, 3 year warranty, great customer service, competitive pricing, it was an easy decision to choose CertaPro and now after the work is complete, we're happy we chose them. I would (and already have) recommended them to friends and neighbors. They were great!

it went well, because of the age of the house they took extra precautions for lead based paint when scraping.

It has been a while, but we were very pleased and have referred others in the years since. Will soon need to do some updating and will not hesitate to call CertaPro.

They called me back and gave a great estimate. They were quick to respond.

Salesman came to house and I thought it would be more expensive and more trouble not meeting with the actual people who paint. I was happily wrong. I got 2 other estimates, double and triple the price and time it took. Certa pro even sent a decorator that helped me pick colors I wouldn't have thought of otherwise and they look amazing. They send one of their crews, and the crew I got was great. I left $ one day for them to have lunch,and when i came home from work Nelson (the main worker) told me they brought their own lunch and gave me my $ back! It took 4 days. I stayed home the first day and after that I felt comfortable enough to go to work and leave them alone. They painted walls and trim of entire downstairs and hallway upstairs. Entry way has open vaulted ceiling and they had no problem painting all the way to the top! Defintily will use them again.

Everything went well. We are remodeling the house and hired CertaPro to paint the interior. We worked with Josh for quite some time as we had other contractors in the house throughout the summer. Josh continued to check in with us to see how things were going and immediately fit us into the schedule once we were ready. We were pushing to have the job done prior to the holidays and communicated that to Josh and Eric. They brought in a large crew and completed the work in record time. They were professional, responsive and did a great job. The other contractors we have worked with required money up front but CertaPro didn't ask for a penny until the job was complete and we were satisfied. The did a great job! They were also very sensitive to our need to keep the dust to a minimum due to our son's asthma. I would definitely use them again.

They were very professional. The on-site quote was accurate and Stephen Crouch was very understanding. He took his time to ensure he knew what we wanted and provided a quote that was representative of the work we actually needed performed. The crew took longer than expected to perform the work, but we were happy that they took their time and provided a quality outcome. The finished product was almost a close to perfect as you could get. I'm extremely we went with a reputable company and have a great product to show off in our house for years to come.

We had some problems, but they came back and fixed it when we called them about it.
