They failed to show up and never called. I would not use them again.

They are fine. I have no issues with them. I will continue to use their services in the future.

When I returned from travel on Sunday evening the air conditioner was not working although the fan was blowing air. I called the main number that evening and talked with a real person who listened and added my name to the list of service calls. The last five days had been very hot & the next five promised to be over 100 F. On Monday morning before I could call the company, a few minutes after 8:00, someone called me, said they had a technician in the neighborhood and could come over to see what the problem was. In less than an hour the diagnosis was complete, the various options were discussed and I decided to replace the 30 year old system. Within 40 minutes two installers brought the unit and began to work. By 3:30 that afternoon the air was cooling and the unit was working well. I could have bought a less expensive system but have a lifetime warranty on the compressor and will save about 45% on my electric bill this summer and fall. The installers were speedy, neat and pleasant.

The costs seemed out of line, for example for an A coil repair, heat pump, and copper it was $7500. We decided to get a second opinion. The second opinion was $3500 less, as was their inspection fee.

THEY DO GOOD WORK.

They kept putting me off because I asked for a record of what was done. The owner was rude and kept hanging up on me. They didn't do the job correctly. I had spent a lot of money to have the furnace installed.

I have used Cates since 2004 when I purchased my current home. Their semi annual inspection service is fairly priced and also gives customers who use it priority should they have a repair need and also a discount on parts. Their servicemen are always on time, polite, and very professional.

At 9 am Steve R. was here and had the system up and running in a half hour. Both men were very, very professional and courteous.

THE COMPANY WAS VERY RESPONSIVE TO OUR CALL AND A SERVICE MAN WAS AT OUR HOUSE WITHIN TWO HOURS. HE WAS VERY COURTEOUS AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.

I NEVER FOUND ANY REASON TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS SERVICE. WHENEVER THE PILOT LIGHT IN THE FURNACE SHUTS OFF, CATES COMES OUT PROMPTLY TO LIGHT IT AT NO CHARGE.

CATES ALWAYS CALLS IN ADVANCE TO SET UP APPOINTMENTS. THEY ARE ON TIME. THEY HAVE EMERGENCY SERVICE DURING OFF HOURS AND WE HAVE USED THAT ONCE. THEY REPAIRED THE UNIT PROMPTLY.

THEY ARE VERY PROMPT WITH APPOINTMENT TIMES. SERVICEMEN ARE COURTEOUS AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. WITH SERVICE CONTRACT, YOU GET 20% DISCOUNT ON PARTS AND REPAIRS.
