Anthony Plumbing, Heating & Cooling

He said he would come out as soon as he could. It was later in the afternoon and he apologized, which he didn't have to do because it was a Saturday and it wasn't scheduled. I knew it was a long shot anyway trying to get somebody out. He just charged me for the call and not anything else. He snaked for it and said it was long gone so he said he wouldn't charge me for anything else other than the visit. His name was Larry and I was very happy. He was very nice.

My husband was actually the one who was at home, so this is a secondhand report. I was impressed with the professionalism of Anthony Plumbing. The working day before our appointment Anthony Plumbing called us to confirm our appointment. (After our experience with a different plumber, this was an extremely welcome improvement.) The plumber showed up on time and fixed our plumbing woes quickly. It's been a week and a half since the repairs, and we have noticed no problems so far. The only drawback to using this company is that it seems somewhat pricey, but, if the work is done properly the first time and the plumber shows up as promised, I am quite happy. Although we have not had to use this particular offered service yet, Anthony Plumbing's office confirmed that its ad about providing emergency service on weekends is accurate. The woman with whom I spoke assured me that, if my "hypothetical" example of no heat nor hot water happened, we would get help on a weekend. I have learned the hard way that the availability of weekend service is a most desirable attribute in a plumber.

It was good. The guy was pretty quiet and there wasn't any conversation. He did it pretty quickly and everything was clean and done quickly. He was responsive and was here on time. He was professional too. I would most probably use him again in the future.

It went very well - Kevin was professional, the A-PHC supplier delivered the part needed to my house so that a reschedule wasn't needed. Installation took about an hour. Very satisfied with the service.

The comfort consultant was pleasant, prompt, thorough, and exhibited excellent follow up and follow through until the ink on the check was dry. He made sure I was aware of and qualified for as many rebates/promotions as possible. My ancient Sears furnace was on its very last leg so I really appreciated that it only took two weeks from sales to actual installation with Anthony! The installers, Mike B and Brandon L, were prompt, focused, professional, personable, thorough - and CLEAN! My basement is cleaner in the area around the furnace than it has ever been! They worked two 10+ hour days installing my system, barely coming up for air each day to take a short break to eat a sandwich... Even after being there for two very long days - each doing their time in my small, dirty, cold crawl space - they still took the time to thoroughly go through the operation of the thermostat, give me a thorough tour of the system, and to answer every silly question I could come up with. I did get quotes from two other companies; both were slightly lower in prices. However, I still chose Anthony because of the feeling I had about the company after the initial meeting with Matt as well as the service experiences I've had with Anthony the past few years. This was a very large purchase and it was important that the company I purchased from was going to stand behind their products and services; I knew Anthony would. They may not be the least expensive out there, but you definitely get what you pay for...and I'd pay it again! 12/21/11 - I was wrong. While I am happy with the majority of the system that was installed, the humidifier is not functioning efficiently. I have complained about it since installation. I had a service technician come out and he verified that everything was installed and working correctly. However, I am still uncomfortable and for whatever reason, the humidifier fails to work in the morning when the furnace first kicks on. It has been two weeks since that technician came out to my house. The day he was out, he called and filled my "comfort consultant" in on the situation, letting him know that I was unhappy. The consultant had been out to my house two weeks prior to the technician and I had told him at that time I was uncomfortable and unhappy. He suggested I "play with the system some more". My consultant did not contact me after the technician was out. I have had to become increasingly more and more demanding to get any response and they still have not been back out to my house. Yesterday I gave in. Since I am happy with technical staff, the heat pump and furnace I am locked into this company for 3 years and I'm tired of being angry. They wore me down. Also regarding the rating system, it is difficult to really rate a company as large as this where you have contacts with many departments. I would rate anything about their installation and technical staff with all As, but because of the issues I've had with other departments, I have to downgrade the ratings. And really I do not have to have anything to do with the other departments now that the system is installed.

I have had the same technician for both repairs and have felt very comfortable with his diagnosis of the problems. He responds to my call for service very quickly and informs me of what needs to be done and what he's doing throughout the service call.

They did a very good job. They were prompt and friendly.

They are always punctual and professional. They worked with me to ensure I had a functioning bath throughout renovations

I hope to continue this review after we use Anthony to do the above listed work, but I wanted to go ahead and share my great experience so far. Ashley, the lady who contacted me after I contacted the company through Angie's List, was SO FLEXIBLE, UNDERSTANDING, AND PROFESSIONAL with us. Scheduling was very difficult as I am very hard to reach by phone in the day, my father own's the property but lives in a different city and wanted to be here for the estimate, and it is a rental. She handled it all like it was no problem. Rob who came out on Saturday morning to meet my father and I arrive promptly only time. He was very knowledgeable about our systems but was able to explain them in terms that an elementary school teacher and a 70 year old could easily understand all without giving us that feeling of being talked down to. Both my father and I feel much better knowing Rob is on our side. I can't wait to be able to write a review about the completed project!

Steve, the serviceman arrived right on time. I had requested Steve again because he had checked my A/C earlier in the year and I was extremely happy with his professional, expert services. I did not realize what a thorough job that Anthony's does on a furnace check. It took far longer than I expected because he checked "everything" to make sure that there were no gas leaks, cracks, anything that pertains to a furnace. I am extremely happy with their service and will never use anyone else. One other thing I found comforting is the service person has their picture on thier van, so you know exactly who is coming into your home. Exceptional!!

Making the appointment was pleasant - the woman who schedules appts. was very courteous. The service provider came on time; he was neat and clean - and he put little plastic shoe covers on. He was very professional and courteous and explained to me what he was doing and why. The price seemed high to me (around $230, after 10% Angies List discount!) - but I don't really know what the going rate is.

I was quite happy with their service.

They are fantastic. They are very responsive. They explained everything. Last winter I had to get work done on my furnace and they came right way. They call you when they come out. They call and remind you and follow up. It’s just a good company. Every time I have called, I have got immediate response. I would use them in the future.

We use the Anthony Service Agreement Program. Their technician recently visited our home to perform the pre-season heating system service. He was the same tech that came to our first appointment and remembered personal facts and was very pleasant. We have never had a more thorough, complete pre-season servicing. The technician was exceptional and he put customer service first by describing in detail what he had done and why it was done. He also advised us on an issue he found, explained what caused it and immediately resolved it. We are very pleased with the service of the technician and the customer service department when making appointments. What a professional company with high quality standards and staff.

They came out, but they were going to charge me $320. I called another plumbing company and they did it for $110. It was just a faucet, but it was so high. The guy was on time when he came to give me a quote. He was pretty responsive. His punctuality was great. I would them again in the future depending on what price they are going to give me and what they are going to be doing.

I cannot say enough good things about Anthony's - the work they did at our place of business was fantastic! We had an a/c installed last spring at our other place of business by a company with a lower bid but were not nearly as satisfied as we were with the work done by Anthony's on this place of business. They were not only prompt and courteous and very friendly, but were very patient with us as we looked over other bids and asked multiple questions. Rob worked with us every step of the way. I cannot remember the name of the other man who helped put the two units in (Chris?) but they were both very efficient, hard working, not in a hurry (in other words, took the time to do it right!) and helpful in every way. It is very refreshing to see such commendable and exemplary customer service in today's world. You can be sure we will be calling Anthony's for any needs we have in the future. .

They had a special going on. They were able to come out and they were going to take off half the amount for just showing up and also for their work. The guy had scheduled with me one day, but he called and let me know that he wasn’t going to be able to make it. He came out the following day. I also wanted to have a ceiling fan installed and he told me that he didn’t have all the tools or the equipment to install the fan. He said that he was going to call me and he never followed up and called me on that. When he had the tool or equipment to install the fan, I felt that he didn’t do his follow up on that. I would use him again in the future if need be.

The service was prompt and friendly. It turned out to be a minor problem, so they just charged for the service fee - no additional charges for time or labor.

The technicians from Anthony were prompt, courteous, professional and top-notch in every way. I was very impressed with their attention to detail. For example, when they replaced the copper tubing going from inside the house to the air conditioner condenser, they were unable to reuse the existing hole since my basement is finished and they needed to use a different route for the new tubing. Instead of just patching the old hole in the siding with some compound or putty, they used the plug cut out for the new hole, re-sized it, and used it to fill the old hole. It's hardly even noticeable. They did the nicest job I have ever seen constructing the condensate drain pipe in the furnace room. These guys were good! Could I have gotten the job done for less money? Certainly. Could I have the job done better? No way.

There are just fantastic. They are really clean, professional, friendly, let us ask all our questions, very patient with us, kind, and even gave us great advice. They even allow you to ask for a specific person to come out and service you. Since we used them to clean our ac unit, the air flow is better. When they serviced our plumbing, they explained what they were doing it and why they were doing it.

Technician arrived on-time with call prior to arrival. Checked out our AC unit and repaired properly and according to his estimate. AC is working well two weeks after the fact.

We have been using them for decades now and they are absolutely the finest company that I have ever dealt with in that respect. They know to do the repairs and also provide good customer service.

They did the tune-up and then the next day the unit broke. We had another technician come out and they ended up fixing it. They charged us a second $100 service fee. We were shocked that they charged this fee, since our unit was working and then they came over and it did not work. My husband called them and they said that they would not take the $100 service fee off, but would come over and give us a free service call. They did not give us anything in writing.

Our a/c went out on a Friday night. Called in the morning and someone was here probably within an hour. Gary was very nice and professional even with our big dog barking at him. He went out to look at the a/c and came back with the run assist part and explained what it does and why it wasn't working. We have no idea about a/c units so we were really nervous but he made us feel at ease. He also gave us the option to fill the freon. He recommended it but didn't pressure (we did it). He went out to fix the parts, came back in to test the air and temperature. He also checked how the overall a/c was working and said it was in great condition. I only gave the price a "B" because I don't know how much these things run and I don't like spending that much money in any case! But I didn't feel like I got ripped off. We were pleased with the experience and would use them again.

What a difference a day makes. My last experience with Anthony PHC was not positive at all, but my AC went out while I was on vacation. I returned late at night on the 10th. I emailed the service department that same night and was phoned first thing - early - the next morning and they had a technician out within a few hours. The repairs were minor and the charge was for a service call only. I really liked the technician, Wes, he was prompt, professional, thorough, quick and polite... I will ask for Wes every time I call now. I would like to mention that the reason for the B is that I got a follow up call a few days ago, in the middle of my work day. I asked the CSR to call back after 5 when I was not working. That was 3 days ago and there has been no return call. However, that won't stop me from using them again.
