As everyone knows, yesterday (6/24/12) was the hottest day of the summer season yet! Well, it proved to be too much for our a/c unit. Fortunately it was later in the day so it didn't get too overwhelming in the house, but on the flip side it was too late in the day to get anyone to come out. After calling a few places and receiving the same "call in the morning" response, we decided to do a little research, make a well informed decision, and call in the morning. We decided on Anthony and undoubtedly made the right choice!! Steve, our technician, arrived promptly when expected, was very professional and had it up and running in a matter of 10 minutes. Luckily the part (a starter assist) was warrantied to sway costs a little and a Angie's List coupon helped as well. Thanks Anthony's PH&C!!

Basically, they were really honest. They seemed to do alright both times. They had another name years ago. They've been in Kansas City for years and years. I think they just changed their name. I told them that I was real sure I needed a new hot water heater, and when he finally called me to say he was on his way, I asked him if he put a new water heater on the truck and he said "no." They were prepared after I told them that I needed one.

I recently had Anthonys install a new A/C and furnace. I had the opportunity to work with Steve Burbridge (owner) and just by getting to know him through the process I learned that customer satisfaction is incredibly important to him all the way from a business stand point to a personal level and he will go to extreme measures to guarantee your satisfied. Chris did the install and he showed up on time, worked hard, was very personable, and most of all did a masterful job. He even cleaned up some of the mess the builders installers left leaving the install job looking perfect. Before he left he spent over and hour testing the systems and air flow to make sure it was perfect. I began this project of getting a new HVAC system assuming every company did the same quality work but after seeing what my old system install looked like and then seeing the completed install done by Chris I now know that is not correct. Anthonys will tell you there guys are the best at what they do when selling you a system but if you use them they will actually prove that to you which is rare in the home improvement trades, trust me, I believe I have found all the promise and don't deliver contractors in KC. I now firmly believe that there is not better insurance or piece of mind you can buy for such a large purchase for your home then using Anthonys for a new HVAC system and maintenance. I know this sounds like a commercial but that was just my actual experience with Anthonys and with an involved owner that cares about his customers.

Excellent service, great explanations from the plumber; had correct equipment on the truck and had job done quickly once the cause was determined . Turned out it was caused by an incorrectly installed expansion tank on a water heater done years ago by another company. I was very pleased with Anothy Plumbing and will definitely be using them from now on for my plumbing needs at my home.

we actually used them twice with in a 1 week period, once was for a repair, the second for a separate inspection. Both times they were great. We have never delt with a more professional company

Hot day outside AND IN - That was the problem! I called several places on a Sunday evening only to find very few could help. Anthony Plumbing Heating and Cooling was not only able to come out but my service professional (Joshua) was incredibly polite, professional and overall superb to work with. He showed me what the problem was, explained the issue all the way through and promptly and effeciently corrected the issue. Now it's hot outside and COOL and COMFORTABLE inside. Thanks Anthony (and Joshua)!!! I would HIGHLY recommend Anthony PLC to anyone!

I called Anthony to get a rough estimate to replace a seal on a toilet as it was fairly obvious that this was the issue. They would only give me a price of $84 to come out. They refused to quote me, even an approximate, total cost to replace a seal on a toilet. They wanted to come out and then tell me the final amount. But at that point, I was already into it for $84. I called several other places who were able to give me a good idea for this specific job. I was not comfortable with a company that can't give you even an idea of how much something will cost if you know what is wrong. So, I went with another company.

They're very professional. Very thorough, I am very impressed with their work. Very reliable, very eager to have the work done.

The service man was very knowledge. I actually ordered a part and when I got it he took at look at the problem and said that I did not need the part and told me exactly what was wrong.

They were on time and very informative. They gave us helpful hints. It is hard to impress my husband and he was very impressed with them. We actually signed a contract with them and they are going to come out regularly. We were absolutely pleased with their service.

Water was dripping in my basement. The service man determined it was from an unused zone in my sprinkler system. He could have convinced me that more work was needed but he just diagnosed the problem. The time got reset in a power loss we had recently. Larry was professional and honest. I would have this company work for me again.

I think they have locations in several other cities. They service this entire area. It is a pretty big company. They do a pretty good job for me. I like the fact that they do several things and not just one thing, so I don’t have to call a lot of different providers.

I looked them up on Angie's List. I would say that they did a great job. Chris was very organized and it was very good workmanship. He was very thorough. They did a great job.

Water backed up from the floor drain every time I did the laundry. There was also a smell (rotten eggs) coming from the drain downstairs and from the kitchen sink, which gurgled when the water drained from the washer. The plumber arrived on time. He was friendly and courteous. He was careful not to soil the carpet. He ran the washer to see exactly what the problem was. He ran the auger a few times. He said it was pretty bad. He did unclog the drain. There's no smell or gurgling :)

They always wear booties when they are in the house, they are polite and nice. They are very professional.

We have used them for about 30 years. They last came to our home for an air conditioning update. They come on pretty quick notice when we have had an emergency, even on Christmas Eve. Last fall they came out about four times with our furnace coming on. We are on a service plan with them. They were able to find the issue and repaired the loose switch. They do not seem to find lots of extra things to fix to cause the price to increase.

I've used them twice within the last 3 months. They were great and about as professional as any plumber I've ever dealt with. They came out punctually, were right on time, and did as good as any other plumber I've used.

They were insured and bonded, that was very big for us. They did a fine job, they weren't here very long, it was less than an hour.

This was an eDeal purchased through eNeighbor.com. After I bought the eDeal and had my coupon code I called to make the appointment. I had to wait about seven weeks but that was because so many people had also bought the eDeal! But it was well worth the wait! On the day of the appointment I got a call telling me the plumber was on his way. A bit earlier than the appointment but that was fine. Right after the call, the supplier arrived and delivered the toilet. The plumber, Larry, arrived a few minutes later. I had installed a new flush valve and handle just three months earlier on the toilet that was being replaced. I asked if the flush valve and handle could be removed so they could be used again and Larry said no problem. I also asked if I could keep the old toilet lid. I was replacing one of two toilets so I can use these parts on the other one. Larry answered a couple of questions and then went to work. A few minutes later I noticed Larry carrying a trash bag out of the house. I realized he had put the toilet bowl in a bag to remove it from the house. No drips! The next thing I know he says he is done. He showed me the toilet and pointed out some features and demonstrated the soft close seat and lid. Everything was clean and other than the spare parts you couldn't tell a plumber had been there. It was a great eDeal! The toilet works great and the service was great, too!

The serviceman (Jerry) was prompt and professional. He completed job in about an hour and a half. Price was a little high (30% above other estimates) however I have used this company for maintenance service and have confidence in their technicians.

They were punctual and had an incredible attention to detail. Getting an appointment is painless. The receptionists are friendly. The guys are easy to work with and are respectable.

Air conditioning unit went out. Contacted Anthony on Saturday 3/17/12 to schedule appointment - left message on answer machine, later that evening a gentleman called my home while we were out and left a message and return phone number. On Sunday morning I called the number and spoke with a gentleman who stated a service tech. would contact me prior to arrival but that it more than likely would be later in the day. I stated that was okay. Never did get a phone call from the service tech. and still with out air conditioning. Another interesting point - I informed the Anthony representative that I had a coupon from Angie's List for half off service call (Regularly $79.00) He told me the service call was $184.00. Thank you Anthony Plumbing for your mediocrity and lack of professionalism. You saved me from giving you any of my hard earned money. I contacted KB Plumbing and they will have a tech out first thing in the morning - rain or shine.

Called to have someone come out to give me an estimate on a plumbing rough-in for my basement. I was scheduled for a 2 hour window and the person I talked with was very courteous and polite. The day of the appointment which was from 2 to 4 PM I was called about 15 minutes before 4 PM saying they would be late and if that was okay. Unfortunately I was not able to stay any later as I had to go pick up my child. I then rescheduled for 6:30 PM that same day. I received a phone call at 7:45 PM that they would not be able to make the appointment. An hour and 15 minutes later, you gotta say to yourself.....REALLY? I was then asked if I wanted to schedule another appointment. I declined and told them why would I want to reschedule when you can't seem to make your other two appointments. I told them up-front that I received their contact information from Angie's List, so I had expected much better service and attention, but was not impressed and do not plan on using this company for anything.

They are very professional and knowledgable. They do a great job.
