Replaced screen, suggested more but abided my requests to keep repairs minimal as we're selling the house soon.

I contacted Anthony's on a Saturday afternoon after noticing my hot water heater was leaking in my basement. Upon calling Anthony's they very attentive to my concerns and sent a technician out to provide an estimate (free if no services rendered) to repair or replace my faulty water heater. The technician, Jim, was very nice and prompt and I would recommend him again to neighbors. Upon looking at the water heater, Jim recommended a new water heater (which was fairly evident given the state and leaking from the water heater). Jim explained he could change and install the water heater immediately, which was amazing given it was a Saturday evening at 5pm. Not having any time to research water heater models and price was my own downfall but given the fact that we could have this issue repaired and not be inconvenienced with missing work later in the week and calling another service company to come look at the unit I agreed to replace the unit with a comparable model (I should have waited and researched but no hot water in a household is a big deal and inconvenience at my home). My current model lasted 12 years and they were installing the same brand. The work went flawlessly and the service from Jim was exceptional. Upon completion and cleanup I asked for any "discounts" and they had waived the "service fee" ($89) and just charged the labor and unit install. Once everything was completed I curiously went on-line to review the unit they had installed and that they had told me was a "great water heater". I noticed that on several websites the water heater was rated 2 of 4 stars and hundreds of people have had issues with the companies "warranty" service. I also noticed I could purchase the exact brand/size/model number of the water heater at local big box stores for almost 1/3 of the price. This was very concerning as I have read reviews that this company is not the cheapest but their service level is outstanding. Honestly, as the consumer, I take blame on this issue from being ignorant about water heater brands/reviews/price, etc. and in an effort to correct a major problem and inconvenience I was "swayed" to purchase and install a new water heater and given the information that this was a "good" price and deal. I feel as if Anthony's service level was great but that their prices and information are misleading to consumers who don't do their homework. I feel as if I was overcharged for the unit and labor and somewhat "mislead" about the quality of the product as well. Due to the fact that I feel I overpaid (which I do accept some of the blame) by well over 6 to 8 hundred dollars, Anthony's will not be my 1st choice for plumbing, heating, air-conditioning work in the future.

John took the time to teach us about our choices and looked at our old systems and told us what needed to be changed and why. Although we went with a different company to replace our systems I do have confidence with the quality of the equipment and people at Anthony Plumbing, Heating & Cooling. We went with a smaller company that had previously done work for our son and whose price was a little better. We appreciated the time that John spent with us.

[updated review] My original review on here prompted a phone call from Anthony's top management. I met in person with their local and regional managers at our house and they said "I'm sorry, we dropped the ball". And with their response/follow-up actions I feel compelled to pull the original review and re-write it. If you read my previous review it summed up to be a bad install that just kept snow balling... I wouldn't be surprised if Anthony will use my install as a training/example of how to handle things when things go wrong. The unfortunate reality in life is we *all* have bad days, I understand this better than anyone. It's how you respond to the bad days that matter. At this point they have fixed everything and even upgraded things for us. The only remaining item to be checked off is verifying the externally wrapped attic ductwork in the summer when it's hot to ensure the outer insulation wrap is sealed well and the ducts aren't sweating. Their local manager is going to come do this himself once it gets hot. So while we did have various issues; they really came through and made sure it was done right in the end. The company even offered to buy us dinner to help offset all of the lost time we had with tech's coming to the house. A lot of companies would have probably just brushed us off; but Anthony really does stand behind their name which is why I hired them originally.

They were very conscientious. They actually believe me where the last plumber I had didn't. He took the time to find the problem.

So when there is water pooling under a 20 year old water heater, one feels a certain pressure not to let it go unattended. The problem of course - at least for us - was having no way of knowing whether one has days or hours before the bottom falls out, so one tends to move with some haste to getting it fixed. There is an old, trite saying that goes something like "Good .... Fast .... Cheap ... Pick any two ..." and that saying applies well here. They were professional from the time they answered the phone this morning through the completion of the installation of a new water heater this afternoon. From doing a little more research on the web since the installer left, I guess we might have saved a few hundred dollars had we gone about the purchase differently, but - after factoring in delivery, installation, haul-away, and the reputation and history of the company - I really don't know. They were good, they were fast ... They were most certainly NOT cheap ... But I selected, and got, the two that mattered most today.

It is just fine. They are always very on time and courteous and they do a good job. For price, I’m on that were I paid monthly it’s like a contract for the year so I guess its okay. It’s about $21 about a month and then you get your air conditioning, your furnace and plumbing check service. There are here several weeks ago to do furnace last but they do the A/C, the heating and then the plumbing.

The service tech. fixed the problems and we had heat within 30 to 40 minutes after he got here. a great job. Will use them again. Will tell all about the great service we had. Oh and the price was right too. Thanks Anthony

They were very responsive; got back to me quickly and scheduled the on-site visit on the same day. I chose a different company that was less expensive.

I am very happy with the service and will continue to use Anthony in the future.

Winterization of HVAC, including replacing the humidifier filter.

The service tech, Clint Ballard, arrived quickly after I was called to say he was on the way. He was very nice and knowledgeable. I'd been having problems with our humidifier, which he could tell right away was not functioning. He made the repairs and did the furnace service. I was very happy with everything that was done.

We were worried about frozen pipes bursting and causing damage at our property. The technician came out and went through checking everything to make sure it was all how it was supposed to be. He talked through remedies and things to do for our type of plumbing to keep it from happening and what to do if it does. Not being familiar with the poly b water pipes we have, I was grateful for the help.

They showed up when promised, were very thorough and did everything right in record time. They did so well we just got an estimate and had them replace our HVAC unit last month and that service was great also!

The dispatcher was ready to send someone as soon as I called, but I asked to delay until I could leave work. The dispatcher kept in touch with me to arrange a time and the plumber was waiting for me when I got to my home. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a clogged garbage disposal and cleared the clog with a plunger and ice. I also asked him to fix the leaky faucet. While he was looking up the price, he realized he had forgotten to tell me the price to clear the drain, and I was shocked to hear that it was $109 to use a plunger, a plastic cup from my cabinet and ice from my freezer; he didn't have to take anything apart. It was $184 to rebuild my faucet, which I agreed to only because he said he would waive the $89 service fee. He did quality work and fixed all my issues, but I think their prices are very high. $89 just to show up at your house may be fair, but I wasn't expecting such high prices for each individual repair on top of that. The technician also talked my ear off, so he definitely could have been done sooner if he had just focused on his work.

Excellent, from start to finish. I recently relocated to Overland Park and a duct cleaner recommended I have this done; he also recommended Anthony as the provider. When I called, the service rep (Jerod) did a thorough analysis and covered several options. He also took his time to educate me on the use of my heat pump, which I had no experience operating. The installer (Chris) did an outstanding job. He was courteous and wore shoe covers plus placed mats from the garage to the basement area where the work was to be done. He kept me informed every step of the way and took several hours to do the job right. The final product was better than I had hoped for, and included a sealed 5" filter that has zero leaks - the previous configuration was leaking a lot of air. As icing on the cake, Chris gave me advice on rewiring a ceiling fan, which is what I was doing while he was working on the furnace. His advice was right on and saved me having to do further research on the issue I was having. Overall this was a great experience. I would not hesitate to hire Anthony's again.

They have done a good job. They showed up promptly, they were courteous, and spent an extensive amount of time checking my furnace and servicing it. We have used them again after purchasing the Big Deal and will continue to use them in the future.

Anthony's showed up right on time and began investigating our issue. Ultimately we had a birds nest and 2 dead birds in our heating system. Our technician explained that due to the air tightness of the system we would not have noticed a smell, even though one may have existed. He fixed our issue and told us what to do in order to not have this issue again. They had a good price and fixed the issue first time out.

NoT good!!!!!!!!! The estimate he gave me was $1400.oo more than other companies. I have a service agreement was this company and did not realize they were so expensive compared to others . He stayed out in his truck for the longest time probably thinking that he will give me time to think about it and sweat on it before coming in with such a Hugh estimate.The job was quickly completed for $1200.00

Over a year ago they installed a new garbage disposal for me. They took out the old one and installed a new one. One plumber came out to do that work and it took him about an hour. He was polite and on time. He also did a good job. The price was also a little high though; the garbage disposable alone was $600 and there was labor cost on top of that.

I would have liked to have it reconnected safely but the arrangement of the connection made that difficult and time consuming soI Ihad him disconnect it. He was a really nice guy. Sorry I don't remember his name. He was very concerned for our safety. I was grateful they spotted the problem and fixed it before it blew the house up.

It went great as usual. Mike, the service guy, is awesome - he's super nice (like most Anthony guys) and seemed to know everything about hvac. He was very efficient and maintained an excellent attitude throughout the whole process. Anthony is the best for plumbing & hvac HANDS DOWN. At this point, after working with many in the industry, I'm comfortable saying that not only does Anthony provide the highest-quality services but they also make sure the experience is as pleasant as possible. I won't ever use anyone else for plumbing & hvac work at my properties.
