Since I am a member with an annual service plan, I didn't pay anything. They kept trying to sell me something. I would use them again in future but I am almost thinking about canceling my ASP membership. They could get out quicker. We didn't need all the talking and trying to sell me things.

I thought that was very expensive. I would use them in future because I am on their plan. Of the two men who came in, one left his product in my bathroom/toilet, that could be improved! I was kind of surprised. I didn't like his attitude.

It went very well. Very professional and personable. Our humidifier wasn't working anymore so the technician offered to remove and patch no additional cost. We were losing air and that would help make everything work more efficiently. They were done in about 5 hours. I recommend this company to anyone and everyone.

Plumbing tech Tanner C checked out the exterior faucets, water heater, kitchen/bathroom fixtures, gas connections and dryer vent. He made recommendations on needed repairs and replacements. Professional work.

Everything has been perfect with them. For the work that they did their price was reasonable.

I had three goals: 1. To get an estimate on what it would cost to fix the items that had been identified to me by the three bidders. 2. To get the answer to the question of why these issues never showed up on the inspections 3. To get an answer as to why these issues had occurred since the system was only 4 years old. I. I did not get an estimate because I thought that I was being given excuses rather than solutions. I do not have time to deal with companies like that. 2. a) I was told that the inspector my not have been able to see the ducts in question, since it was toward the back of the crawl space (It is lighted) b) The technician insinuated that the bidders on the crawlspace had damaged the duct work themselves (in that case it was the first one, because the next two gave me the same recommendation) thus the duct work was damaged after the inspection. 3. a) I should expect condensation in the amount shown on the picture in a crawl space. b) That the duct work was not done by them thus not their issue. I was interested in getting a workable solution, because I am trying to sell this house without HVAC issues. My initial reason for calling Anthony was to hire them to fix the problem. I told that to the technician after I showed him the pictures. He asked me what I wanted. But I kept trying to get answers to my questions that made sense to me and I guess I was really turned off by the lack of sympathy, possible solutions offered so I just paid him the $89 and told him to leave.

It went very poorly. The first install day was a no-call/no-show leaving my tenants another day without AC. They rescheduled for the following day at while they did show up, the unit that I had ordered wasn't on the truck and wasn't delivered from the local Lennox distribution center. This was not figured out till after the poorly performing unit was removed, leaving my tenant once more with no way to even attempt to cool the home. The unit was eventually installed much later in the day. The tech that did the install did a great job and apologized, however I never received any other call from the salesman or any management with at least an apology, let alone any type of discount on service for the trouble and embarrassment this caused me. To make maters worse, about 3 weeks later the main control board blew in the original furnace. Perhaps this was coincidental, but that unit had performed for decades without issue. All in all, I would never use Anthony PHC again after this experience.

Jim was very polite and thorough . He found a couple of things that are borderline in needing service, gave me a price for them and thoroughly explained what was wrong and my options. Everything was done in a reasonable time and he was right on time for the appointment. I am very satisfied with Anthony H & C and would recommend them to anyone.

The gentlemen completed the work, so now the toilet works, but the charge was way too much in the opinion of me and several others I've talked to who have do this kind of work. When I tell friends and workers about the fee they are appalled. I felt gouged and taken advantage of. I will not recommend this company to anyone and I was disappointed that Angie's List would be recommending a company who takes advantage of older widows in such an unfair manner.

I have two A/C units, which needed annual service. I purchased coupons through Angie's list for $59 each. The technician also replaced a part, topped up the freon and gave me advice on my filters.

I called in about 8:30PM on 8/4/2016 when we noticed the A/C was not cooling. (Hottest day so far this year) Tech. came out at 8:30 AM 8/5/2016 & asked about problem. Went right to the outside A/C unit and did some testing. Determined the problem. Went to get the part, replaced it no charge. Couldn't ask for better service as I know they had a lot of calls. When I called on the 4th., the answering machine was full - but a lady still at work noticed I had called although I was unable to leave a message, She called back in about 5 minutes and said she would set up an appointment for the next day.

My HVAC system died on one of the hottest nights of the year. My wife is disabled and cannot tolerate extreme temperatures well. Our HVAS system is 23 years old, and is a real energy hog. Jeff came out within an hour of my phone call, diagnosed the problem and gave me some options. The old system was simply not worth saving, but Jeff gave me a work-around to get it running enough to keep the house comfortable until a new, energy efficient system could be installed later in the week. He even did a follow up visit and made some more tweaks to make it work better. The Installers, Juan and Felix were fantastic. My old house presented a number of extraordinary challenges and they found ways to get everything done. Juan and Felix were competent, professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with. The work they did was top-notch. A number of subsystems had to be improved... new cutoff switch, new flu and air intake, new electrical and plumbing work and new gas connectors, as the original ones were not up to code. Anyway the HVAC system in our house went from the stone age to super-efficient. I had a lower price bid from a competitor, but I could tell they were not acknowledging several of the issues and they even proposed a unit that was 25% too small for our house. Anthony's was a little expensive, but the system and everyone I met were all top-notch and professional. Anthony's boast that you can trust their technicians with your house keys. I feel that in this situation we trust them with a lot more....like our home environment and our safety.

They were excellent. We will use them them.

I really like them. I have a service agreement with them so, like, the only thing I paid for was, like, a filter. But I pay, you know, a couple of hundred dollars a year or $180 or something like that for the service agreement. The call would have been free if I had not had the filter. When they did my once a year heater inspection and they did not do something they were supposed to. We came home from Christmas break and had no heat. They came right out and said it was their fault. We would have paid them anything to get heat it was so cold. They said since it was their fault we did not owe them anything so they were very honest.

The appointment was made weeks in advance but we weren't forgotten. The company called to confirm, just as they said they would. They called to let us know the service tech was on his way, and he showed up promptly. Very impressive first impression. He got right to work and kept my husband informed when he diagnosed a few weak parts. We didn't have to replace them but chose to, saving us a costly service call down the road as he waived the service call fee. Everything was completed as promised and we have the satisfaction of knowing our air conditioning is in tip top shape. I would definitely use them again.

Called to make an appointment to have a garbage disposal quoted/replaced and was told since we were not enrolled in their ASAP Members program the soonest we could get an appointment would be the following week. Fair enough… So we scheduled that appointment. The morning of the appointment Anthony called to say they had someone call in sick and since we were not a in their ASAP program they would be cancelling our appointment and we could reschedule for the following week. Lost vacation day! Such a bad way of doing business. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

I have had a number of things happen that have bothered me with Anthony but had been continuing to use this company for maintenance services. Back in December of 2015 we had one of our two hot water heaters stop working and that service to diagnose it and shut off the bad heater was $169. Anthony's tech came out and told me that the burner was bad but it would make more sense to replace the unit rather than spend the $400+ to replace the burner on this 10 year old unit. I was quoted $1500 for another water heater, and I thought it was high and said so. I was told by the service person that they only sell one brand and it was the "best" and "most expensive" but since they guarantee it they only use the best one. I said I had to think about what I wanted to do and he turned off and disconnected the malfunctioning water heater and shut off the water to it. I called into Anthony's office number and left a message to get an exact quote for replacing the burner since that cost was not addressed in exact numbers and the water heater replacement cost was so high that i really didn't want to do that. I started looking again on Angie's list for companies that do this so I could get another price quote. I saw that another highly rated company had a coupon offering a 50 gallon water heater for $899.00. A sales manager from Anthony called to give me the burner quote and I told him the water heater replacement cost was really too high and another company could do it for $899.00. I expected him to try to work with me on the cost but instead he would not budge one penny from the $1500 quote! He also told me that they would install ANY brand I want---but for the same price. That means the tech who came out lied to me about only using one brand--the most expensive one. The sales manager justified the excessive cost by saying that the other company I found "probably" doesn't include things they do, even though he had no idea if they did or if I even needed what they include, such as an expansion tank, which we already had. I chose to do nothing and just keep using the one water heater. That brings me to the current visit they made to our house. Our heat pump A/C died and I was told that the cost of repair would not be worth it for an 11 year old unit. He quoted prices for a new A/C. I was quoted $7200 for a 16 SEER, 5 ton unit! I found it shocking. It was hot out and our AC was out and I was told that if I wanted to get a new one installed the next day, i would have to decide right then! I said would not make a decision on something this high priced without getting another quote. The service visit cost $89.00. He said he would check with me later in the day to see what I wanted to do. I called another top rated Angie's List company: Stratton Mechanical Services. I talked to the owner who came out the same afternoon and quoted $5015.00 for a 16 SEER, 5 ton unit that he would get installed the next day along with a new thermostat. Not only that, but they also put in the 50 gallon water heater we needed for $850! I have my new AC and new water heater and saved a ton of money from what Anthony quoted. No one from Anthony even called me back to find out what I wanted to do. I feel that while Anthony does do good work on their servicing, they are grossly over-priced when something fails and needs replacing. I feel that the service people have a huge conflict of interest because appear to benefit financially from selling over-priced equipment to people who are usually desperate at the time because something has failed that they need. After this last experience, we will not use Anthony in the future.

It eventually went okay. I have two comments. Number one is I thought when I signed up for a Deal, they were supposed to call me to set-up an appointment and if that is the case, they did not do that. I had to call them and that is not a big deal. My second comment is I have had their tune-up before not as an Angie’s List Deal but a normal Deal and I noticed that they whipped through this one like grease lightning. I am sure the guy was not treating it the way that they would normally do a tune-up. When I signed up for the Deal, I had to give them a couple of dates when I would be available so that would kind of indicate to me that they were supposed to call back, but I can guarantee that if I had not called them, they would have never followed-through with it. It got lost somewhere. I just did not think the guy was very thorough. I would be very careful using them on an Angie’s List Deal.
