Description of Work: The service tech came out and was on time. The guy seemed nice so no compliant regarding his professionalism. My grade is based on their pricing which is absolutely ridiculous. He quoted me $656 to rebuild my current toilet which includes replacing a water supply line, a wax bowl and the 2 screws to hold the toilet in place. My 2nd option was a brand new toilet install for $570. I'm not a plumber but you can rest assure after hearing those price quotes, I won't be doing business with Anthony Plumbing. I don't mind a business making money but when a company tries to get rich off of a simply job like this, it turn my stomach.

Description of Work: I purchased the annual service bill when I had my hot water heater installed. The work that was done was completly professional but a bit pricey (I remember paying $1200+). During the installation I was sold on an annual inspection which gives you free service calls and discounts. At the time I was able to apply it to my bill..... I was very upset when I recieved a bill disguised as a "past due notice of $258" that my wife nearly paid. This place it very professional but given conversations i have had over the past year regarding installs, they are clearly overpriced. The approach to renew their service agreement is unethical to the point I am considering calling the BBB. Its this type of deceptive business practices that target senior citizens such as my father. I wont be using this company for anything going forward as I feel this is reflective for other practices they may be involved in (to drive price into any service you recieve from them).

Description of Work: I called Anthony's for a few typical plumbing problems and scheduled an appointment with them months ago. The office was very nice and helpful. When I had additional issues with plumbing this month, I called Anthony's again. The woman who took my call was very nice, which led me to purchase their ASAP contract and adding the plumbing audit to the deal. I had the furnace system checked and was very pleased with the service provider. I then asked him his candid opinion regarding my water heater. Description of Work: They came out and checked my AC and put about a pound of refrigerant in it. The people were nice and on time I gave them a B because they did the job well but not really any better or better priced than any other company. I would hire them again.

Description of Work: They have become my regular heating and cooling consultants since the night last summer when our central air crapped out and they responded at 10:00 Pm in the midst of that brutal heat wave. This autumn during a routine inspection of our furnace and hot water heater, they recommended that we install a new hot water heater as our old one had a significant gas leak. Just like last summer, the consultant showed up when he said he would and did a great job.

Description of Work: A/C STOPPED WORKING AT HOTTEST PART OF AUGUST. ANTHONY H/C CAME OUT AND GOT IT RUNNING BUT IT ONLY LASTED A FEW HOURS. SECOND CALL DETERMINED THE COMPRESSOR WAS BAD. LATER FOUND OUT THE COMPRESSOR WAS 7YRS OLD WITH A 10YR WARRANTY. ANTHONY WANTED SEVERAL THOUSAND TO CHANGE OUT THE WHOLE SYSTEM TO THE NEW REFRIGERANT. SEEMED MORE INTERESTED IN SELLING ME A NEW SYSTEM THAN MY BEST INTEREST FOR THE MONEY. HAD THE ORIGINAL INSTALLER REPLACE THE COMPRESSOR FOR LABOR ONLY AT A FRACTION OF WHAT ANTHONY WANTED.

Description of Work: This is the second time I've used Anthony's and I'm just as satisfied this time as I was the first. Once again the technician could have sold me a part that I didn't need and I wouldn't have known the difference. The level of professionalism is refreshing. I will not hesitate to call them again.

Description of Work: Our initial contact with Anthony Plumbing and Heating was a good one. We asked them to come out and tune up our furnace which they did. The technician was knowlegable and professional. That went so well that we decided to have them give us a bid for a new HVAC system. I guess their salesman thought we were either born last night or made of money. $10,600 for our less than 3000 square foot home. Same system from another company came in at $6,000 for the same equipment - no difference. The salesman was also there all evening. I believe he arrived at 6:00 and left after 9:00. We might use them four our tune up but we definately won't purchase a new system from them.

Description of Work: I contacted Anthony Plumbing Heating & Cooling to obtain a total estimated cost on a general service call, 3 lbs fluid and build in 1/2 labor charges. The representative refused to provide an estimated quote without sending a technician to the house. I contacted other businesses who were happy to provide this information. Based on their lack of willingness to disclose pricing with a specified scope upfront, I would not recommend them.

Description of Work: Took advantage of an Angie's Big Deal certificate for a $49 HVAC system check-up. Service technician did an OK job inspecting the furnace in the basement. There was a drain pipe that needed to be flushed out and he seemed kind of hesitant about how to flush it out; so, I took it outside and flushed it out with the garden hose. Overall the inside inspection went OK. I was disappointed in the outside inspection however. I felt the cleaning of the compressor coils wasn't thorough enough and the technician forgot to check the refrigerant levels until I asked him about it when he was reviewing the inspection results with me. When asked about the refrigerant levels he said, "You know I forgot to check them." At least he was honest and did go back out and check the levels. This is a pretty important item for a summer time HVAC check-up!

Description of Work: I am on crutches and fell into the toilet tank yesterday. Since surgery I am limited to the main floor and now have broken the only toilet on this floor. We had never used Anthony's and honestly when I need a plumber I almost panic. We have used both good and bad. The good we have used went out of business. Relying on the Angies List rating we called and explained our problem. They were having a busy day but knowing my predicament they kept us on the schedule. Ed had worked all day but still said he would be here and arrived about 7:00 pm. He had to do a total rebuild on the toilet, and fixed another one with a minor problem. He didn't leave until after 9:00. This week is especially busy since Christmas is this week and I am sure Ed had other things to do last night besides fix my toilet. I so appreciate the fact that, even though they had never served us before, our business was important to them. The repair was expensive, but we were saved the cost of a new toilet which we would have agreed to if we had been told we needed one. We are comfortable with the cost of the repair. Plumbing is just expensive! We will call them again. While I am sure all their staff are great, Ed is a very friendly, likable, and dependable plumber! You might want to see if he is available.
