Description of Work: Bid/replace AC. After 25 years of fine service, and just a couple of weeks after its annual inspection, our a/c decided to take a permanent vacation - so we used Angies to identify 4 suppliers and schedule bids. Anthony was 1st on site (Monday) - and bid a Lennox- We said we'd like to wait for the other 3 - salesman said "sign now and I can get you in on Wednesday" - we said "we'll have the other 3 bids by 4pm Tuesday" - salesman said "sign up now for Wednesday and don't worry because we have a 30 day low price guarantee". Our mistake. We were expecting the comparison and decision to be difficult - 1 bid for Trane, 1 Lennox, 1 Carrier, 1 Goodman, etc..etc.. but no - we received 3 apples-for-apples Lennox bids. Now we clearly saw that Anthony's was by very far the very highest - about +30%. But no fear - the Anthony salesman had shown us their "30 day low price guarantee" - even though he knew we had not yet received the other bids. We called him on this - he immediately came down a bit, but did not nearly match the other bids. We suggested a further lower price that was closer to our 2nd lowest bid - he said he'd have to go and ask his finance manager. 10 minutes later he calls back and says he's been given OK. Installation was done well and on time - and then one of the other bids contacted us and offered an even lower price - too late Anthony had already installed. So we called Anthony and asked about the "low price guarantee" - it took 24 hours and several call backs to get somebody to respond to us and then a long phone call that eventually was resolved to everyone's satisfaction. Bottom line - with the other bids we were dealing with HVAC technicians, with Anthony's it was like buying a used car. Hopefully this Lennox, with its annual Anthony service, will give good value for money - and we won't have to go through the purchase thing again soon.

Description of Work: This routine check up went fine. Worth the price. I did however call them last month for service call and not satisfied with results. They mis-diagnosed the problem and almost charged me over $7000 for new unit when I only needed a $200 part. Good thing I called out another co for second opinion before I spent the $7K for new unit that I did not need.

Description of Work: AHC came and did an inspection. They said that everything looked great. They were thorough and detailed in what they inspected and talked me through it.

Description of Work: The technician examined our furnace and determined we had a bad control board. I was given details on the replacement cost, and the tech left to get the part and would have returned within the hour. I found the part myself for a lower price and decided to do the replacement on my own instead. I called immediately and cancelled the part order. Their customer support team was nice and easy to deal with. They took my payment for the service call over the phone, and they handled calling the technician to communicate the cancellation for me. Overall, I was happy with the experience and would consider using them in the future.
