After meeting with these folks at the Johnson County Home Remodeling Show, we made it very clear that we wanted only an estimate but would be interested in hearing what options they had available. Of course, they were more than happy to honor our request and contacted us for an appointment. When Dan came out to talk to us about his product, he was nice but before telling us anything about their product he asked about our plans for his visit. We told him we were wanting a quote on replacement windows and what they would recommend/ offered with their company but wanted to make sure that we could pay cash so we were just in the investigating process now. As soon as he heard we were not ACTUALLY writing a check for windows today, he thanked us for having him out but couldn't talk to us until we were ready to buy. Terrible experience and pretty much confirmed we would not be calling them for our business when we were ready to pay them, right then, for the work we needed done instead of financing.

Over a week later the rep from the company calls wanting to set up a time to meet and give us the estimate. He indicated that since I wasn't avail at the first meeting they wanted both my husband and I there. I told him we had both been here, didn't know what he was referring to. I told him we have since gotten two other estimates (w samples shown) and the cost given to us that day before the guy left, we are no longer interested in Alenco. The guy wanted us to call them in the future for remodeling needs. I told him that was unlikely after this experience.

I think it was like $16000 to redo all the windows in the house.

My complaint in addition to the visible glue marks between the panes of glass in the door is that I get no response In answer to my phone calls.

The company did the work well and professionally. The only glitch was that in the process of remodeling, the need for an electrician arose. We had understood that they would do that work as well. When the work was actually done, it was halted until we had an electirican rewire an outlet. I think it was simply a misunderstanding on our part. The Alenco employee installed the window and patio door skillfully. He even cleaned up after himself!

I used Alenco way before I was a member of Angie's List, but I wanted to share my experience. A representative came out to my house and I picked the style of windows I wanted. We also discussed options. I had two large picture windows (68" x 105") that didn't open and I wanted something that would let the air in. They had a window that worked perfectly for that. I'm sure by now they have a lot more options, but I was pleased with what they had. The bay windows on the front of the house even had a decoration between the panes. They arrived promptly and had all the windows replaced the same day. They removed all the old windows (I was told the glass would be recycled) and cleaned up. It was a painless process. I have since sold that house, but in the approximately 8 or 9 years that I had them, I never had a problem with them. No water leaks, no air leaks, no frosting inside, nothing. I was pleased with them the entire time I was there.

Excellent! I have used them for attic insulation, so I know the quality of their work. They cleaned up after themselves which is very important. I would use them again and recommend them!

They were excellent each time. I'm very happy with it. My only problem is that they keep calling for more service. They were on time and very helpful.

We have a relationship that has been around for five years. It's just a very old house. There was a wooden door and then I had a two-entry steel door on the front. They did it nicely. They did good work. I thought pricing was fair. They're not the cheapest but their work is quality.

The salesman stated it would be 6 weeks before they could start the job. It ended up being 8 weeks. Aaron who did the work along with his helper did a very professional job. They were very good as the keeping the work area and our home clean during construction. It took 3 and a half days to do the work. The first day Aaron only worked until noon because they needed his trailer and helper on another job. Because of that he was not, able to bring all the materials with him. all in all I am pleased with the work that was done . I would use this company again.

Layton came out to install the windows. He did a really poor job caulking the exterior side of the windows plus, when removing the old windows, he cut into the exterior trim of two of the windows. When I called to complain the next day, Carrie asked me to send pictures, which I did. She sent Layton out to look at them and he told my husband that the caulk needed to be redone but he would have to do that on a warmer day. He also said that he would need to repair the wood. We had some warm weather the week of Dec. 18, 2013 and I called, was told Carrie wasn't there and would call back. I sent her a text but heard nothing back. Over the past year, we have called numerous times but NO ONE has ever called us back. Now, during this time, we have even received telemarketing calls from Allenco, wanting to sell us something. I still have pictures of the poor caulking job and pics of the wood trim that has not been repaired. Still waiting... We owe for about 1/2 this job. Maybe we need to stop making payments? Every time I hear Toby Tobin on his radio show give Allenco praise, it makes me sick!! We want someone from Allenco to call us and make this right. We won't make another call to them .

Fairly well. They installers did lave scuff marks on some of the windows, exterior and interior. Also, some of the windows looked like they were put together hastily by the manufacturer. You can see stuff in the panes and I wonder how well they are sealed. Overall we have noticed that the house is less drafty and warmer/cooler but we have not realized anywhere near the savings that they said we could see, up to 60% off our heating/cooling bill.

They did a great job. They worked efficiently, on budget and on schedule. We are very pleased with the final result. I would use them in the future and highly recommend them.

I was very confused. They said they get confused with this other Alenco all the time. If that is the case, why wasn't I informed of this initially when I said the latches said "Alenco" on them? Instead, I had to wait 6 hours and call back before finding out I should have been speaking to another company.

They were on time and they did everything just like they said. We bought 16 windows and one of them was not the right size, so they had to reorder that window. We didn’t get charged for any of the windows until they installed the last window.

We met with three window contractors and though Alenco wasn't the lowest, or even the most personable presentation-wise, we felt we were getting exactly what we wanted which was a good, solid price--no surprises--for a quality product. We did not want any add-on's, or oops, or this-will-be-extra. surprises. Their financing, through Wells Fargo, is exactly as stated. We contracted in April to have the work done as schedules and weather permitted. This turned out to be two months. As we closed in on a schedule date, someone came by to do a lead-paint test. On a personal note, we did not feel any particular affinity to the business-side of Alenco. As anxious homeowners about to commit to a sizable investment, they seemed professional, but distant, and we occasionally felt abandoned and we questioned whether we had chosen the right company. This is just a personal observation. That being said... The installer, Don, was friendly, prompt, knowledgeable, and very experienced. He removed our ORIGINAL nasty 50-year old basement windows without any issues and that was something I didn't think could be done smoothly since they had been caulked and patched many times by previous owners over the years. Not one complaint fell from his lips. He then finished them inside and out with new wood trim. His motto was to do the job at a customer's home like he would do his own. Enough said. In the end we felt we received an excellent product, performed by an excellent installer, at a fair price.

They were fantastic. They were prompt and on time. They included in the price if there was any rot in the frame. They replaced it without any extra charges.

Although I do think the price is high, in the end I have felt it to be totally worth it. The attention to details that the installers took for my siding is impressive. They even created a nice and neat box with siding around an outside electrical outlet for me. Strictly done so that the appearance of the outlet would not diminish the quality of appearance of the newly sided house. The crew cleaned up all of their debris completely, and completed the job within the suggested time frame. It actually took them about 3 days total time to do all of the work. The house looks like a completely new home, and several of my neighbors have given compliments on the quality of the appearance and work. I've still got my side and rear windows to do in the future, and I no doubt will be contacting Alenco to do the work when I'm ready for it.

Overall it went well. I'm very happy with the windows. The only downside was It took multiple appointments to get them in. However, the installers were such professionals. Whatever mess they made was cleaned up when they were done. They even put my blinds backup after installation. I didn't expect that. I definitely recommend Alenco for any window installation!!

One of the few providers that would actually quote 1 window. I thought the process went overall well. They did have to reschedule once due to the weather being too cold. I would have preferred I not have to call them the day before to confirm and they tell me that day they will have to push out. Overall, good.

He showed up on time, and was very nice. He didn't seem to have his info together, he shuffled thru pictures and papers and then his bid went all over place from about $2500.00 down to $1200.00 and just said he could work with me. He didn't explain the materials or colors very well and just didn't seem to be interested in selling the job.

Alenco were actually really good. It went very well. They showed up when they said they would. They did a good job. We had one minor issue, but they came out and they fixed that like the way as we told them.

Some problems with the doors and with the plumbing...They responded in a timely and professional manor...The problems were both caused by the installers...Self inflected but resolved...I would be happy to use them in the future...

We were held HOSTAGE in our own home by the "salesman" Joe. His first "guestimate" of $1000-$1200 a window came down considerably to $800 per window by the time we got rid of him...over an hour and 20 minutes later. He claimed he had been with the company for 17 years. If that's true I'm not sure how they are still in business with his demeanor and sales tactics. I didn't like the original $1200 price he quoted and told him we weren't interested. He stood up and snapped his large book (of competitors price sheets and yellow page listings) closed and started out of the room. We didn't budge. He came back and sat down again and started barraging my husband and I with all of the competitions' price sheets and claims that "aren't true". He bashed every other major company selling windows and made them all out to be liars. He also went through his history with the company including the fact that he had been FIRED years ago but wouldn't leave. Not sure what the point of that story was....to show me the company had no control over horrible ambassadors of their company? After an HOUR of him I had heard enough and left the room. I couldn't take any more. My husband made the excuse that we needed to be somewhere. As I left the room I heard him tell my husband that he just had a few more things to tell him about. Twenty minutes after that I came back in the room and told my husband we needed to go. I kept hoping this loud, brash, rude, arm-twisting-type "sales" man would leave. My husband finally told him he had enough info, thanked him and he gave the price of $800 per window. Nothing in writing was ever produced. The entire experience was UNDESIRABLE. I would never consider using this company, even if the windows were FREE, because of their salesperson. A company's reputation and product should stand without bashing competition and forcing people to listen to a preplanned, intrusive presentation from an overbearing salesperson with a book.
