Description of Work: Alenco was great. We had some hiccups as far as how long the entire process took, but most of that was out of their hands and was about their vendors. They very much went out of their way to make it right, and beyond, when there was an issue. As far as their product - their siding is considerably superior (even visually for folks who are not construction/building materials savvy.) In terms of installation, our siding foreman (Mario) is very good at what he does. As long as you (the homeowner) are very specific about what you expect to be done, he and his crew were very accommodating. The difference from before to after is pretty incredible. I'd say we went from one of the lower end exteriors in our neighborhood, to one of the absolute best. I'm excited to get re-appraised - as I believe we've upped our equity substantially. I would highly recommend Alenco's product, customer service, and expertise when it comes to having siding done.

Description of Work: Ordered patio door in February, was told it would take 4 - 6 weeks to get it. When it FINALLY came, it was not the French patio doors we ordered and the installer tried to talk us out of the French doors and keep the one they brought which p***** me off. We also hired them to put tile backsplash and granite countertops in. We had to have them fix places in the backsplash where the grout was not even and the tile backsplash was wavy in places. Also, they left holes around outlets where they didn't get grout put in. They had to fix that also. So what we ordered in February, backsplash, countertops, and patio door (we did get our French doors we originally ordered) did not get completed until the end of May.

Description of Work: I replaced the front windows of my house. The quality of the windows was good, just probably not worth 2.5 times the $198.00 windows. We ordered the windows with insert grids. When they came to install, no grids. I thought each frame was made to fit each window but they installed the frames and had new windows made. They fit fine.

Description of Work: My husband and I bought a new Alenco sliding glass door for our patio which was installed in August of 2003. The lock broke last week (1/06/13) and I retrieved the paperwork for the door installation and called Alenco. (My husband was always organized and I knew exactly where to go to find the paperwork for the door). They honored the Limited Lifetime Door Warranty and are sending me the part today. They did offer to come out and install it for me, but being that I live over 40 miles away, the fee would have been $95.00 and I knew my son could install this door piece. I am TRULY amazed. Also, when I called Alenco, I had to leave a message for the service department, but Jeff called back within 15 minutes. The Service Manager's name is Jeff Lewis. I have not had service like this from a company where I purchased something almost ten years ago....ever. I definitely would send all my friends to Alenco if you need doors. They also sell wiindows. I also can not say enough, obviously, about the Quality of the doors they sell. Penny Kearney, MO

Description of Work: On Wednesday, 11-7-12, Alenco was in our neighborhood installing windows. There were several canvassers in the neighborhood knocking on doors. A gentleman knocked on the door and asked if we were interested in any of the services they provide. On the literature, they listed "Bath/shower restyle." We had been discussing the need to make some changes in the upstairs bathroom so I let him come in and take a look. We discussed some of the issues and he said he could call and set a time for someone to come out and give us an estimate. (Mind you, this whole project was mostly going to be a vanity & toilet replacement so not a lot of bucks.) Tom offered to have someone come out that evening but our young granddaughter was coming to visit for a few days and we had a lot to do. So I said it would have to be the next week. We set an appointment for 11-14. Within an hour, I got a call from another person at Alenco wanting to move our appointment up to that night or the next day, etc. etc. He said they had a cancellation but there must have been a lot of them because he offered six different times and dates - including Sunday. I told him we had our granddaughter coming for a few days and had alot of things planned but he got really pushy. Finally, I said something like, "If you are going to keep pushing me on this, I will cancel the appointment!" At that point, the line went dead. .The more I thought about it, the madder I got because I figured if they were going to be that pushy about setting a silly appointment to give me a free estimate, how high pressure would their pitch be? I called the next day and cancelled the appointment. I spoke to Jennifer who was very professional and apologetic - it's only because of her that I didn't give this company a grade of "F" I will not use them for anything. (So there, Toby Tobin!)
