When they took down the old ones, they didn't patch the holes left in the wall. The mirror and lights weren't put in correctly and aren't straight. They've sent out another person to fix the wall, but they've only made it worse. I don't want another person from their company to come out. They also told my mother that they aren't licensed, bonded or insured. I would like the money back from the job or probably money that I'm going to have to pay another company to fix their mistakes.

All work was performed on the original schedule they provided with the exception of the shower glass installation. The sub-contractor measured incorrectly and required an additional week a "shave to fit". All the the Handyman Matters subs were skilled craftsman.

We needed to get a ramp built when a family member was coming home from rehab in a wheelchair. I found Handyman Matters through Angie's list referral, and contacted them through their website. We communicated back and forth a fair bit via email, including sending a picture of the front porch area where the ramp needed to be built. The crew was able to come out a few days after initial contact. They arrived in the morning, took measurements and went over the details of the job, and then went to pick up materials. They were able to work around the fact that we had to get the wheelchair out later that morning, and were done with their work by mid-afternoon. The crew was very pleasant to work with, communicating their progress and any concerns. The ramp seems solid, and is extremely helpful in getting in and out of the house. The ramp was meant to be semi-permanent, and when it is no longer needed it may be removed. Therefore, it isn't a thoroughly "finished" product - meaning that it isn't painted, trimmed, etc., but it is exactly what we wanted.

Another great job by Handyman Matters! Carlos called before he arrived, on time! He was very professional, polite, and a likeable guy. We are very happy with the completed job and they charge a fair price.

Called twice and left message on 8/6/2012 to get an estimate for minor drywall repair (hole and some light skimming) and popcorn removal. Never received a call back. I was really surprised given such positive reviews on Angie's List that we didn't hear from anyone.

The handyman called the night before to verify the appointment and go over the details of the work. He called again before coming to tell me his expected arrival time and that he was stopping to pick up materials. He installed the steps in a reasonable amount of time and the job was well done. The steps were secured well to the house and the construction was superior to what had been in place. I am very pleased. He bagged up the trash and left it for me to put out for my trash collection. He answered all my questions. The site was cleaned up perfectly.

Picked up 150# dishwasher at Wards, picked up extra parts to install, then installed. Great job.

I needed their expertise on what to do to get light at bottom of stairs - they did an excellent job. (I will be using them for more things in the future - not just the new dishwasher installation that is planned for tomorrow.) (I found a coupon too - great.)

Very well, they came on time and had to do some heavy lifting to move my washer and dryer out of the way. Completed the job quickly and put everything back.

He arrived on time, but was clearly frustrated by the work. He had to saw a larger hole in the countertop and proceeded without telling me. He cursed, moaned, and complained during the entire job; I was afraid to talk to him. When I came back in the kitchen, there was sawdust EVERYWHERE, including in the countertop appliances, and drawers! I had to vacuum several times and clean every counter appliance and canister by hand. The company also asks you to rate the technician in front of him. Seriously?? This guy was scary. Apparently he no longer works there, but this firm is not careful who they hire. Would NOT use them again.

The estimate amount was about $200. He was okay, nice. My experience with them was fine. They did come out and I did get someone when I called the first time. They scheduled an appointment and he was here on time. I thought that the price was a little high.

Very courteous and helpful. The job was well done and the suggested additional tasks what I really needed done and didn't know I did. Very happy with work and workmanship. Very clean. They had to stay until the water was turned on and check with neighbors (I wasn't aware of that part), but were just really pleasant and thoughtful.

They had a couple of issues at first. Those issues were resolved and the job turned out good.

This last time they repaired a sliding glass door for me. They found the rollers were bad and ordered replacement ones. They contacted the tenant to set up a reasonable time and completed the work. The pricing is fair and I am happy with their services.
