Very professional job - Very clean! Very respectful - door looks like it was included in the original build of the house!!

The painting crew from A Neighborhood Painter (the owner Steve and his painter Jason) have now done 2 large painting jobs for us. The first was a bedroom and bathroom which had been trashed by previous painters and the second job was an entryway ( with two sets of stairs and a high ceiling ) and a relatively long hallway with several doors. Steve and Jason were wonderful. They were very competent, did a wonderful job with the painting and were always eager to please us as customers. Steve explained everything they would do and asked for input along the way. Thank you Steve and Jason.

It went well. However, Tom didn't bring everything he needed so he had to go get stuff at the store even though I was told he would have everything. He was very professional and did a good job.

Great communication and work provided. They fixed my siding as planned and on budget. Great price.

I spent about $350. I like that he did a really good job.

The owner came out and was quick to provide an estimate. She would order side panels for the vanity to cover where the existing tile was so there would be no patching of the drywall which is textured. The vanity took more than four weeks to order- not their fault. However when they did come to install - there were two men I had never met. Since Laurie came out twice to measure I thought she would do the work. We all went to the basement to look at the pipes. No leaks or problems. The head male contractor forgot his saw so a one day job turned into two. The side panels were not tall enough to cover where they removed the tile so they would have to return to patch and paint. The patch job does not match the textured wall. After installing the toilet inserts they left for 45 mins knowing I was trying to get back to work,while they were gone I discovered neither toilet would work. When they returned they finally got them to work. Luckily I had been there to figure that out. I asked the owner to come out and look at it, but she wouldn't. I was told "I already gave you a discount" however that was a reimbursement for overcharging me from the original estimate. She also told me she lived very close to me. From the materials (glue or caulking?) they used left a spot on the carpet and several fingerprints on the mirror which were very difficult to clean. They did not clean up at all. A week later I discovered a leak from the pipes from the new faucet- It was leaking where they installed a new pipe. I called the gentleman from the last visit and he was very nice to come out and temporarily fix the pipes. I paid him in cash. He claimed my pipes had been leaking for months? But when we all checked them before they started the work the basement was completely dry. He came back to finish the vanity sides and installed five new pipes. He never patched the wall - I was left with holes in the wall. I was not given an estimate for the 5 plastic pipes, I just had to pay what they said I owed. I believe they padded the final bill since they came out three times, none of which was my fault. They also took all the cooper and did not offer it to me, I'm sure they sold it. They also took my step ladder. The owner never followed up to see if the final work was done to my satisfaction- which it wasn't, but I do not want them to come back. I missed two days of work, even though they said they would come on a Saturday.

Odd beginning with a bid that I questioned because it was far above others. More experienced person re-bid to acceptable level. Work was scheduled quickly and proceeded well with a few days of drywall work and trim replacement. Another crew was scheduled quickly for painting and completed work in a couple sessions.

Once I contacted Handyman Matters to get a quote on repairing my ceiling from ice damming, they were very quick to respond with their quote and explained exactly what was necessary. It would be a 4 day job. We scheduled to work to be done mid May. The craftsman arrived promptly each day, did what was necessary and cleaned up. The ceiling looks great. Job well done.

After submitting my request to be contacted through the web form, someone contacted me the same day and scheduled someone to come onsite and take a look. The contractor came onsite and arrived on time. He had some good suggestions for what I wanted to do and seemed very friendly, I was looking forward to working with him. He said he'd give me a quote within 24 hours as he needed to check on a few things. The quote did not come for quite a while, but there could have been a mixup with my email address. I have received the quote now.

James did a great job. He had to improvise several times (came up with a workaround for covering broken/missing floor tiles while installing vanity; made mirror fix in a tight space, adjusted drain stop on sink) and things worked out great. I'd recommend James for any kind of handyman job.

Laurel arrived on-time for the estimate, and was very professional. She was up front with all costs, and itemized the bid as we discussed. Her contractors arrived on time, and were very professional. They did exactly what they said they would do, no surprises, and were also patient with the questions that we had about the work. This was a small, relatively simple job as all of the repair work was in a garage area, which meant the clean up would be easier. I will definitely give Handyman Matters an opportunity to bid out the next home improvement job that I have.

It was an outrageous quote; it wasn’t even in the ballpark of what somebody would charge. It was so high that it made me think, that they didn’t want my business. It was just frustrating to leave work, to have them come over and meet with him. We are talking about tearing and replacing linoleum and it was probably for a total of 100 sq foot. I was to supply the half tiles and all supplies except the grout and they quoted me over $4000. It was for the entryway for the bathroom that was twenty-five square foot, the same for the other bathroom is less than fifteen square foot and the entryway in the basement was probably the highest, maybe thirty-five square foot. There were so many good reviews for them and when I got the email with the quote, it was frustrating. It was like a slap on the face. They wanted $648 for labor on just that bathroom and $110 material. The labor on the master bath was $ 864, and material was $150. Then the front living entry way was $500 for labor and a little $100 for material. The entryway into the basement, where the washer-dryer is, it is not a huge area but that was $1152 for labor and $150 for material. A tile person that I knew back where I was from recommended another person that was here but he was not available but he was going to charge us $1500 for all that excluding the supplies. It was unfortunate because it was a waste of their time, to come out and write that up and a waste of my time to meet them but I expected them to be honest and that is not what they are. So their reviews are inconsistent as far as what they did in my experience.

They arrived on time, we're very efficient, left everything clean and offered to take the carpets for 25USD. I recommend them.

I never got an estimate for only the work I wanted done. The two estimates included things I didn't ask for. I felt like the company was trying to include extra things on the estimate so they could charge me more money.

I received 3 quotes from different companies for hanging and finishing drywall in my 408 sq foot basement. Handyman Matters was the most expensive. Their quote was $4000. The other two quotes were for $2500 and $1957. Make sure you get more than one quote!

It went really well. He was fabulous. Highly recommended.

Very responsive, punctual, professional. Two other companies either did not show for an estimate or return a phone call. Workers were friendly, professional, and helpful. And extremely punctual (loved it).

Work was well planned and executed start to finish over a 5-day period. Workmen were skilled and cleaned up after themselves each day and when finished. Handyman Matters completed the work to my complete satisfaction at considerably less cost than I had anticipated.

Chris was wonderful! He was very professional. Chris was able to explain a way to make the improvements that I wanted in a more cost effective way. He explained all of my options and was willing to do which ever option was going to be best for my family. I have already recommended him to several people, including my mother. He is also going to be coming back next week to do more work for me. I will continue to use this company for any of my home improvement projects.

She came for the appt. with the painter. He gave an estimate. I hired him. He did an excellent and thorough job. I would use Handyman Matters again without question and I would use this painter again, also without hesitation.

Service and communication was excellent, and the price was fair in our opinion. Both times, the servicemen showed up exactly on time, were easy to work with, and completed the work quickly. We will use them again.

One of the post that goes from the base of my front porch to the roof over my front porch was rotted at the bottom. The handyman proposed several solutions for fixing it. I decided to go with him cutting off the rotted bottom of the post, attaching a section of new post to the old post and added a base to the bottom and attaching the base to the floor of the porch to prevent it from moving in the future. He applied some putty where the new post section joined the old section so that it would blend together. He did a fine job. A few weeks later I painted the whole post and the new section blends perfectly with the old section.

The service that this company provided was to strip wallpaper, repair cracks and paint two bedrooms including closets, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors and walls. This was a huge task as the bedrooms had not been redone in over 40 years. To add to the work the walls were the original 1926 horsehair dry wall. The results were great and I am very pleased. It was a big job!
