Very well. The work was done as requested. Once the TV was mounted, I could not get the cable connection. They came out and helped me troubleshoot the problem. The service provider assured me she would help me figure it out and she did.

Went well and showed me worn out seal and explained the problem. Very professional.

Chris was pleasant and professional. He has a "can do" attitude. I am having him come back to paint, and repair my eves. I highly recommend him.

Very professional organization. Several contacts prior to service - including a reminder a few days before. The crew did a great job at my home - completed all the expected work and made a few recommendations that resulted in a better finished product. I highly recommend Handyman Matters and I will definitely use them again.

This did not go well. The contractor came one time very sick, and while he might have seen this as a favor, it wasn't. He was contagious and not at the top of his game. As such, he had to come back to work on the ceiling again, because every place the the boxes came out was visible to the naked eye. He came again and created another mess. The paint and such wasn't dry, but he wanted me to fill out the Angie's List form while he was still here. In fact, he stood right next to me watching. Even then it was clear the ceiling still wasn't correct...and it's not. Here we are almost a year later, and now we will have to pay someone else to fix this mess. He also installed bar lights over my kitchen bar, and they are crooked. I didn't post this right away (and I'm sure my dates and dollar amount aren't correct), because I don't want them back. They've been here two or three times, and nothing was fixed properly.

The main water valve had a slow leak that was never fixed; I had to call another plumber. Other work was done adequately, but not the quality I wanted.

They did an amazing job. Very respectful & polite, came when they said they would, and I would use them again the next time I have the need

The construction of the bannister was excellent. I believe the re-built bannister is more sturdy than it was when it was new. If I had any complaint, and it is relatively minor, it is the sub-contractor left the small pile of rotted wood in our pile in our yard...he did not take it with him. I just assumed clean-up was part of the bid, but he showed me it was not written on the work to be performed and therefore, left it for us to deal with. The only problem is our trash company does not pick up construction materials, so although it's a small pile, I have no idea what to do with it. I'll have to look for a neighbor with an outdoor fireplace.

Initially, the price seemed okay but only a very general description of work to be done for estimated price was very vague. I reviewed & contacted indicating the specifics which were discussed @ estimate. They replied that I must have wanted an accurate estimate. I wondered what estimate had occurred. They came out again, this time someone knowledgeable & gave me the estimate. They never specified what grade of wood, so I did & indicated I desired #1 treated lumber. This seemed to much for them to handle & informed me they would do the job but only on a time & materials basis. Twice they marked up their % over & above the cost of wood merely b/c I requested #1 treated wood. This process took weeks beginning in July & I finally said, no, in September. A simple, simple as one can imagine landing on a 1st floor, patio landing is what I wanted but they made it an infinitely, absurdly complex process.

I enjoyed working with these folks. The owner and her husband (who does a lot of the paint work) are kind of quirky personalities (which I happen to like). They were very nice and down-to-earth. There was no BS or runaround (which I also happen to like). I had them estimate the cost to paint my bedroom, and after shopping around (reputable companies, not the ex-con living in a meth lab who will "do it for cheap"), their price was fair. They worked pretty quickly, did very good work and I'm satisfied with the results. There were no surprises on price - I was charged exactly what was estimated.

I would use them again. They even called and were able to lower the initial quote as they had not spent as much time as originally planned. That is excellent service. I see a couple spots on the Paint that could have been touched up.

I was provided a detailed estimate. Chris and Ryan were prompt and finished the work in less than a day. Once they were finished, they explained the work they had done, cleaned everything up, and it looks great. After the initial visit to determine an estimate, their emails were sent to my spam folder (gmail), so I was slow in getting back to them, but they were understanding and otherwise everything went smoothly.

Laurel was very nice to work with and tried her best to acoomodate our needs. The painting job came out pretty decent, not the best painting job we have had, but not anything that I could really gripe about. The thing that upset me the most was working with a crew chief that came by and gave us bids. He was as slimmy as a used car salesmen and only felt like he was trying to upcharge for everything We purhcased the Angie's List deal to have 2 painters for a day for $499. We did not ask for any trim, ceilings, or ceilngs painted, but were hoping to get 3 rooms completed (1 room was only half the wall since the bottom part was wainscotting) for the deal. The crew chiefs laughed in my face and said their is no way that is happening and that it would be another $500 to have all 3 rooms painted. I then asked how many rooms they could do in 1 day and he responded with saying 2 rooms. My next natural question is so you want to charge me an extra $500 to paint 1 extra room (this is the 1/2 wall room by the way)???? He said, well I guess I could do it for $250. So right when I heard that and his whole demeanor of talking to me like I am an idiot; I realized I didn't want to use their services for anything other then the Angies List deal. The 2 painters painted 2 rooms in 1 day. Seems like some professional painters could accomplish a little more since I have been able to paint a room in 1 day with trim included, but that is just a personal opinion.

It didn't. They have never contacted me outside of the initial consultation.

Contacted provider around August 4 for a quote on some painting because I had used their service before. They responded quickly telling me a date they could meet for a quote which was going to be August 12th. I replied to the email telling them what time we could meet, I never received any confirmation back and contacted them again on August 14th. They responded via phone call by telling me they found my email pertaining to the meeting time in their spam folder, this was on August 14 they called and set an appointment up for Friday Aug. 15th at 4:30. I came home early that Friday for the appointment and was stood up with no phone call or any notification of why they never showed up. Still have not heard from them as to why they never showed up.

I had an extremely positive experience from beginning to end. They were extremely professional and even went above and beyond to make my deck look beautiful. My experience also extended out to the workers, and especially to the supervisor, Carlos. I would highly recommend Handyman Matters to anyone needing friendly, professional work done at a reasonable price.

A small glitch but that was quickly taken care of by the company.

I've used Handyman Matters many times and Chris usually does the work. He is very polite and professional. He takes the time to give good advice and explains his repairs. For instance, I only needed the button replaced on the doorbell. The plate he bought was smaller than the original plate and would have shown the unpainted section on the wall outside. So Chris used the old plate but used the button from the new plate. Looks great! Small details like this are why I use Handyman Matters and Chris.
