The execution was flawless. The team even took the time to correct some plumbing issues they found in the walls that was not part of our original agreement for the work. they went the extra mile without ever asking me for additional funds. Tony was incredibly polite and make sure to keep me up to date on his progress as the renovation went along. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

From start to finish everything was wonderful. I was planning to get new carpet in my home and Steve worked with my schedule to make things possible. There were several challenges with the job including excessive cracks in the existing paint, previous bad craftsmanship, and several decorative accents added by previous homeowners that hid problem spots. Steve went over each area with me and gave me options. It was nice having options to move forward rather than having the painters tell me only one option. Steve also helped me pick out a color for the house. Steve & Jason were very polite, professional, and detail oriented. They cleaned up each day and took the same care with my home as I would. My home looks great!

Laurie came to provide an estimate and was wonderful! She walked through my bathroom and gave very honest and candid feedback. I was pleasantly surprised when she told me what to do when working with future contractors. She also did not try to fix every flaw. She said said her goal was for me to have a functioning bathroom that I was pleased with and could enjoy. When her employee came out, he was prompt and polite. I had one minor problem and Laurie rushed to have someone complete it. Laurie's team helped me feel more comfortable with contractors. I would recommend them to anyone!

Bryan was excellent. Very friendly, considerate of the noise as I was working at home, took his time matching the stain and finishing the project in short order and was very clean in his work. He was super personable and even kind to my old deaf dog!

We had some siding rot along our roofline that needed to be addressed. The project went very well. Carlos, the craftsman, was very clear about what work needed to be done and what to expect. He was able to work it into his schedule quickly and did a great job. It was not a huge job and, often, contractors don't care much about small jobs, but Carlos' attention to detail was great and we are very happy with the finished product.

The office was able to schedule my service within a week of when I called. Brian showed up right on time and assessed the situation with our ceiling. He didn't actually end up needing to cut anything out. He is definitely a professional, giving his real world advice on how to patch it up. He was very clean putting up plastic and drop cloth everywhere. He explained the whole process. Once he was finished, BUT BEFORE HE CLEANED UP, he asked me to come check it out. I'm glad he asked for my approval before he started cleaning up just in case there was something I thought needed addressing. He was able to blend in the popcorn texture to match the surrounding areas perfectly. Once it dried overnight, the color was even spot on! Looking at my ceiling now you could never tell there were any areas in need of repair. Handyman matters was great to get the job done in a very timely manner at a good price with amazing results!

John did a great job. He kept me informed of the progress, we reviewed the options and he finished on time with quality work.

We found extensive wood-rot on our chimney trim and siding. To better understand scope, I personally removed most of the trim and some of the siding to reveal what was underneath the exterior layers. Unfortunately, this put me in a tight spot as the missing exterior left me vulnerable to additional damage from rain. It took two weeks to get someone from Handyman Matters out. Fortunately, my tarp job did the trick so the wait turned out to be okay. The initial quote received by Handyman Matters was done via email in which I provided a few pictures of the chimney. Upon first-hand inspection, the Handyman Matters craftsman assigned to my project, Carlos, suggested a complete rebuild of the chimney. However, after receiving the revised bid, at a much higher price, I decided to scale the work back to a scope somewhere between the original estimate and a complete rebuild. Carlos and his crew ultimately did a good job and appeared to use good materials. I know the work performed was difficult (that's why I didn't perform myself). I would recommend Handyman Matters and owner Laurel to anyone needing exterior repair work.

They were good but they were a little expensive. The price was a B but the job that they did was an A. They were on time. They did what they were supposed to do. I would probably shop around to find somebody cheaper.

Handyman Matters was immediately responsive and was kind enough to send someone out to see if the work we wanted done could fit into the scope of the deal that was offered. Steve was very up front in telling us which area they might not have time for and which supplies to purchase ahead of time so that we wouldn't incur additional costs, which I thought was nice since we hadn't yet even purchased the deal. On the day of service, Steve and Jason arrived promptly, kept me informed of all the progress, were courteous and professional and did an outstanding job. My dad was a painter for many years so I knew what little things to look for, and they paid wonderful attention to detail on everything. I would absolutely use them again and highly recommend them to others!

Chris and his crew got everything done that I needed and under estimate. His paint touch ups were spot on and likely saved me a couple thousand dollars in painting costs alone. I definitely felt like I got my money's worth and would recommend his expertise to anyone.

They were here for a total of 4 days, were very friendly & professional.

I contacted Handyman Matters via email while my mother was in the hospital. I received a response suggesting a time for someone come give us a free estimate. I emailed back letting them know the time worked for us. Laurie, the owner, arrived exactly on time and listened to my concerns and quickly assessed what was needed and took measurements and made suggestions. She provided a written estimate and I agreed that we proceed. The craftsman, John, arrived exactly on time. He was very professional, easy to communicate with, and very pleasant. He did a beautiful job!

They sent out a “master carpenter” . I wanted the book case to be stain quality. I went out and bought the materials. I knew the construction would be a mess. He started the book cases just fine. When you look at them from a distance, they look great. When I started to do the sanding work, I got close to the book case and took the shelf out. Not one of the shelves were the same. One was made from stain quality wood. The other three were made of plywood. They had been gouged by a circular saw, they were also short. There was plenty of stain quality wood to build the remaining shelves. He didn’t tack the bookshelves. I had to correct 36 exposed nail spots. He never went back and checked his work. It was just poor quality work. The carpenter was a smoker and I am still picking up cigarette butts. They did not do good work for me.

John did a great job! He removed a wall that was in the bathroom and re-plastered the wall. In addition, he tore out the old carpet and cheap tile floors and put in my new slate tile floors along with the sealing of the tiles. Also, the bathtub and shower was replaced and he put slate on the wall of the bathtub.....also, he changed all of the fixtures in the bathroom and re-routed the air duct from where the wall was removed to just come in from the ceiling. Also, the electric switches were moved from the wall that was removed to the remaining wall. They just did a great job...it looks really good and I think I got a really good job for the money that I payed for it. I received 3-4 bids on the project and they were the most reasonable.... overall, Great Job! Andy

Chris and his crew arrived at the scheduled time. It was a complex job because of the condition of the deck. The deck had partially disconnected from the house and one corner was sagging approximately five feet down. They were friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. I would use them again without reservation.

I selected compose material, which I purchased (not cheap but, guaranteed for 25 years and already painted). It takes skilled craftsmen to install this type of material. The finished product turned out great. All my neighbors and people walking on the sidewall in front of my house give me wonderful compliments. It changed the profile of the house and increased value of my home. They have done a lot of work for me over the past 3 years. All of my projects are completed in a timely matter and on budget

Weve been working with Handyman Matters for a couple years now. We first had them rebuild our deck in 2013. We were highly impressed with their work and their professionalism. When it came time to put our home on the market in June 2015, they were the first we called. Once again they came through for us. Painting, plumbing, work was performed beautifully, on time and reasonably priced. Now that were moving we can only hope to find a company that will instill that kind of confidence.

The firms owner showed up on 3 occasions. All contracts were typed out and well defined. This was not my lowest bid, but felt comfortable with their business model and professionalism. The three workmen were friendly and always punctual.

Handyman Matters was a complete pleasure to work with! Laurie called me within an hour of receiving my request for a bid and spent the time to listen to me about the concerns I had with our patio door. She had someone out within a few days. On the day Scott was scheduled to work, he called me to let me know he was ahead of schedule and asked if he could come out early. He was very professional and did an incredible job. He needed to move the towel bar over as the old anchors left large holes in the wall that wouldn't support the new anchors. He spackled everything up and you would never know that it had been moved. He took his time with our back door. He added a new sweep and then used silicone to ensure all was sealed up on the outside. He replaced the rotten wood molding on the inside. I was concerned about hidden wood rot and he took the time to show me that all was dry and there was no need for additional repairs. I had bid this work out to 2 other contractors and neither of them showed up when they were scheduled. They didn't return phone calls when they missed their appointment. I was thrilled that when I called Handyman Matters that they returned my call promptly and then showed up when they were scheduled! Overall, I was very pleased with the work that Scott did. I highly recommend this company. They are professional and prompt! Their bid was very reasonable. I have already sent them a request for another job we need done!

Things mostly went smoothly. The handymen and handywomen who talked with us and worked directly on the project were all very professional. However, we encountered a minor issue that was NOT the fault of HMofKC; one of the wall-mount pieces we provided had a crack in it. As a result, we had to replace the piece and wait for the work to be completed. When the time came to complete the work, the new handyman did not agree with the choices made by the previous handyman and wound up redoing some work, thereby expanding the amount of time needed. I'm not sure why this fairly straightforward job with result in such a disagreement, but it did not change our bill in any way, and the final product turned out perfectly regardless! Even with this mildly frustrating hiccup, I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to others. Communication was particularly fantastic, with the workers able to explain very clearly what work was needed, what had to be changed by the second handyman, and carefully booking around our availability plus diligently checking in. Price was the lowest we were quoted from everyone who looked at the shower job, but nothing about the work experience felt "cheap." The final product looks great, functions great, and

The estimator was punctual and professional. Submitted a bid in a timely fashion. We elected to accept another bid that we thought was better. I rated the price as a "C," but that was only because it was higher. Obviously, whether a price is good or bad depends on quality. Since the quality of the work of this company is unknown to me, I cannot really say if their price was "fair" or "excellent." It could be either one or somewhere in between.
