A+ Insulation

Things went fine. I didn't hire them. The worker was good. They were very prompt.

I was very impressed with the company. Mike, the project manager, provided the project estimate, scheduled the project, and even showed up on the day on installation to make sure everything was going well. He also followed up a day later to make sure I was satisfied. The project installers, Jason and Kevin, were extremely professional, showed up on time, and were very pleasant to work with. They covered the entire work area so that other areas of the home remained cleaned and they did a great job of clean up after they were finished--even vacuuming areas that they were barely in. I would definitely recommend them for their professionalism and quality of work.

I was not impressed. They told me that some of the installation was 'temple bound'.

They were 45 minutes late arriving, and I was the first appointment of the day. They kept taking smoke breaks in the front yard, which I wasn't fond of. However, they did a good job. The point person kept me informed of what they were doing.

This company is professional, timely, and trustworthy. We scheduled an estimate promptly after speaking with them and they arrived on time. They did not try to oversell us and gave us a $100 discount for being Angie's List members. We scheduled installation with them a few weeks later and they arrived on time and did an excellent job. The results of their work are amazing. After spending $20,000 on new HVAC, our home still had areas where the temperature was inconsistent and our heating and cooling bills did not decrease as much as expected. The issue was resolved by installing additional insulation and repairing areas where leakage was occurring. We were provided pictures showing before, during, and after, so we know the work was done well and right. We highly recommend this company for your insulation needs.

They were professional when we met with them for the bid. They were efficient, friendly, and fair. They were unobtrusive and careful to clean up after themselves.

It went great! I was very appreciative of his services. He found a bird nest in my attic that I was not aware of. Also found my air ducts were not completely sealed.

Will definitely use these guys when we are ready for the service.

I haven't seen any changes if its warmer or cooler. I got the attic fan to keep the upstairs cooler. I would not do that again. They came out when I wasn't home. There wasn't a lot of communication. They didn't leave any information. The company needs to explain what the product is and in detail of what it will do for the house. My idea of what the product was, was not what they gave me.

I first met with Jeff who I explained all of the work I was looking to have performed. Jeff was very articulate and conveyed the proper expectations. While I would have preferred sound proofing, I was honestly just looking for a way to muffle sound between rooms in my home. Jeff performed measurements of attic insulation and advised what is considered best practice and drew up a quote for the work to be performed. After I gave the green light we went ahead with scheduling (the team had a few weeks of backlog to clear prior to being able to engage on the work). A team of 3 individuals arrived a few hours late due to some issues with equipment - though the communication was superb as I was called twice to be informed of when to expect the team. This was not an issue for me since I had the entire day off of work and the work being performed by the team did not bleed into the next business day. The team was personable and professional, plastic was laid everywhere that work was being performed and the work was completed quickly. Before and after pictures were shared with me (though I would have preferred an electronic copy) and a completion signature with payment was provided after a thorough walk-through. All in all it was a great experience and I'd use/recommend them!

The only reason I gave a B for punctuality is because the sales person did not revise and resubmit our contract. Therefore, I had to call the office to see why no one had shown up for the appointment. Mark got right on it and had someone out to my house within a few hours. Customer service at its finest! Thank you Mark, you went above and beyond! Your company is a class act!

They were really good. I had a big squirrel nest in my attic. They had to completely take everything out and put in new insulation. They took pictures as they went along; I appreciated that since that was in the attic. I also could see a big change in my electric bill.

I called A+ in to provide an estimate for R-49 insulation in the attic of my existing home. The house was built in the 70's and there wasn't much up there to begin with. This work was to be done as part of the Energy Star rebate program so when I called I ensured they were familiar with the program. They walked me through what they would do automatically within the program right on the phone and were eager to work with me. Jeff came out to the house to provide the estimate quickly. He was very professional and knew what he was doing. I asked for a 2 part estimate, 1 for the attic and 1 for the garage. Jeff wrote up both estimates on-the-spot and discussed with me that even though they would do the garage insulation if I wanted it, it probably wasn't worth doing as part of the rebate program. I also wanted an insulated box for the attic fan, Jeff was able to include that as well as detail what materials they'd use and how the team would build it. I went with A+ even though their estimate was slightly higher than other bids, everything was detailed exactly how I wanted. With other bids I had to make 3-4 different calls to clarify what they were estimating. (Fiberglass or cellulose? air seal included or not? Why wasn't the attic fan box included in the write up? etc...) None of these questions with A+. Day of installation came after about a 3 week wait, exactly as Jeff had told me there would be. The crew showed up on time and worked quietly covering everything in the house with plastic and prepping the attic. The whole job took them about 4 hours (~1300 sq feet with some architecture features to work around), most of that being prep work. The crew was very efficient, took before/after pictures of everything they did and left everything in the house just as it was when they showed up. The entire process was stress-free for me and the end result looks great. After completion they even mailed me a flash drive with the pictures they took of the project. So now I've got a bonus flash drive.

I booked with company (dealing with Jeff). Was told start time 8-9. Morning of job I called office to get a better idea on time. I was told closer to 9 with a 30min call. 850 and no call. I called office and was told they have to gas up and get ice in coolers. I then spoke to the manager who pretty much came across I don't really care. He said it's Btwn 830-930. I advised it was 8-9. Was initially told a finish time of 2-3 and now a finish time of 12-1. Earlier is good but not really sure who to believe on finish time. Not happy with the service so far from this company as far as management. Service is now complete. Pictures look good from what they did.

The service was excellent and they were very prompt. They also sent me a flash drive with the before and after pictures for me to look at and to have for my records. They came and worked steadily and I was very impressed. They sent about 6-7 people out to do the job. They got the job done in about 8 hours and the cleanup was excellent and they laid down plastic as they were working and sealed off furniture throughout the house.

They did a great job. I have no problem. The price was good, the workmanship was good, they did what they said they were gonna do and did the job well. I don't have any complaints.

I feel as this was very much a bait and switch operation. They told me my attic was not large enough for the service so they added some other work yo do and said I had to spend at least $950. They Aldo wanted me to fill out an online form duplicating information that was already provided. Not very online friendly. I did not have the service done.

I have lived in this house for 9 years, and didn't realize that these things need to be done. I wish I would have talked my husband into doing this a long time ago. The quality was fabulous. They were there, when they said they were going to be there. I have recommended him to my neighbors.

They did a great job. Punctual, efficient, and thoroughly cleaned up after they were done. Walked me through the house before & after to see the heat leaks with his scanner. Our house is much warmer in the winters, no more ice dams, and stays cooler in the summer.

Estimator knowledgable, crew friendly, job site kept clean and what little afterwards they cleaned up. I had them seal before blowing the insulation, VERY thorough by doing more than what was expected. Showed me pictures of work along the way. Put in baffles, soffit vents, addressed an over the garage attic and main attic and R60 insulation. Also able to do the work earlier then expected by offering me the time slot.

Air They went around and applied a small silicone bead around the windows. The took off almost all of the outside wall outlet covers and light switches and put the little foam inserts in. The items that I was most pleased about was that they installed door seals on all of our doors and we have a number of exterior doors. They removed the doors, attached a good quality door sweep to the bottom, and also put new stripping inside the door frames to make it air tight. The other thing I liked a lot is that they used spray foam to fill in around the canister lights in the upstairs from the attic side. They also built a foam "box" that covered the attic fan, but the didn't cover it. When I went up there later the foam box had fallen apart as it was just taped with a couple pieces of duct tape. That is why I dropped a couple of the ratings down to B. Overall, I was happy with the service though and so I gave an overall rating of A.

Made an appointment for work estimate. Representative showed up and did estimation but gave me vague information about the result. Said he didn't have his computer. Estimate came in email and had no specifics on area covered and stated the price was now $750 vs $349. When asked about dimensions covered on the phone, the rep said 1100 sq.ft. would be covered for the $750 including the original $349. Rep. said the additional 100 sq.ft. was worth $400. At this point I asked for a refund. He was firm on the $750 price.

We purchased a big deal for a solar attic fan from A+ insulation. Contact was quickly made and they came out to first measure the size of our attic and determine the best location for the fan. It was determined that one fan would be sufficient for our attic size. We have an American four-square style house with a flat portion in the roof in the middle. They initially wanted to put the fan there, but I told them that when we get a lot of snow, that spot leaks, so he decided the best spot would be on our south facing side. I think this is important because many people who work on your house don't really listen to what you say. We then scheduled a time for the installer to come out to install the fan. While he was here, he noted that our pull-down ladder to access the attic was allowing a lot of air to escape into the attic and recommended a product they install called a Battic complete with an estimate for that. We declined the Battic at that point in time (have had it installed since then). Anyway, the day the installer came out, we were not home and so we had my dad come to the house so someone was here but the installer didn't really need access to the house. He installed it from the outside. My only concern is it was installed directly over a beam, which blocks some air flow (maybe it's supposed to be installed over a beam?). He finished quickly and it has been working well since. It comes on when it's supposed to once the attic reaches a certain temperature, doesn't run in the winter, and seems to cool the attic enough. We would recommend this product and A+ insulation. On a separate note, for those considering a Battic, once we contacted A+ insulation that we wanted one installed, we set a date for installation. The process went smoothly and it was installed quickly. No messes. We have noticed winters are warmer upstairs than before.

AWESOME! First of all, the provider contacted us 30 minutes before our appointment time to let us know that he was running a bit behind and might be 10 minutes late (he ended up being only 5 minutes late); I truly appreciated his letting us know. Secondly, he did a thorough job of assessing our situation, explaining how we might be able to do some of the work to lower the expense, and he provided a detailed estimate before even leaving the house. We plan to utilize their services for most of the work.
