A+ Insulation

I was impressed with the salesman and the crew. They were very professional and conscientious.

Job went well. Work was of good quality. Did run into a bit of delay getting the job completion paperwork as there apparently had been some personnel changes both in the field & the office. The new personnel took up the challenge & provided a thorough follow through under difficult circumstance. My hat is off to them.

The overall experience was great. The estimator was on time, provided a complete estimate and alternative pricing. The installers called before arriving, arrived on time and were very courteous. The work was done quickly and when they left, there was no evidence they were ever here. The installer took before and after pictures and provided them to me. I highly recommend this company and will use them in the future.

Great! I had 2 other quotes and decided to go with a company that I felt had the most experience and knowledge with home insulation over a company with cheaper rates. The guys who did the install were very professional, I hardly knew they were in my attic. They even cleaned up before they left. I am still waiting on the final pictures of before and after, but hope to have them soon! Thank you! Anne Johnson

They were very fast and efficient, done by 3:00 or so. The installer communicated very well what they were doing. The fact that it was $2,680 and they were done so quickly was a red flag. I definitely felt that I spent too much for the work. Other people looking at getting attic attic insulation need to get at least two quotes. I did not do this, and probably paid way too much.

There were areas that we didn't know that should have been done. So they did areas that needed to be done. So they put insulation on some walls that were up in the attic and then they put some baffles because we had siding put on and there were no baffles up there even though they told us that there were baffles. They could only find one baffle. The other people were supposed to put baffles and they didn't do it. They kind of lied to us. When we saw it, the insulation looked pink and we didn't know the difference between a baffle and whatever. But they took pictures. I now know what a baffle is supposed to really look like. They were making up for something that was done a long time ago. Then they had to put more insulation back in there. Spray in the new insulation that covered areas that were not covered before. Then they redid insulation they put in especially since they put their foot through our ceiling and half the insulation came down. I'm happy with what they did. But, I'm not happy that they put their feet through my ceiling. Sometimes I feel, because I was a girl they might have taken a little more advantage of the situation. If a guy was involved there it might have been a little bit different. I think they might have taken things a little bit differently. I really liked the guy that came out and talked to me about it. He was very nice and he knew what they needed to do. I really liked the guys that actually came in and did the insulation even though they put through their feet through there. They came out on one of the hottest days of the year. These guys were baking out there. I just don't like the outcome of the repair to my ceiling that should have been done correctly, which isn't. You can see the patch is bigger than the hole. They said it will match the ceiling. But, you can't match the ceiling. They tried and now you see that it just doesn't look good. You see the rivets. They didn't get it all smoothed down. It doesn't look very good. I'm very, very unhappy with that part and they just haven't got back to me. I keep calling them saying, "I'm not happy," and they said, "Well, I'll have to check with my boss." They sent somebody out that was not that great with drywall. They should have sent out a professional that knows what they're doing. I thought the price was fair. They really were conscientious about putting plastic down on the floor and really cleaned up after themselves. They were very punctual.

I was so pleased with this company. I contacted them through their website, received a phone call, and was able to set up an initial appointment. Kevin arrived exactly on time, did a thorough inspection of my attic, and told me exactly what was needed and how much it would cost. The crew arrived a few minutes before the scheduled time,. Even though the attic access is in the garage, they carefully covered everything with plastic before beginning the installation. These two very nice young men answered all my questions and told me about what time they would complete the job. I left to do an errand, and when I returned they were wrapping things up. Turns out that the new insulation product will last a lifetime, so my attic is good to go! I'm planning on having A+ insulate my crawl space next spring.

I had Jeff stop by a year ago with an estimate. He was so thorough and impressive I didn't get any other bids. Sometimes you just know you can trust a company by their representative. After additional roof vents were installed I had them out. I am 100% satisfied with the results. I don't know about the price value but I didn't want anyone putting a foot through any of my ceilings so wasn't looking for a 'deal' on this project. I've read all the reviews. Sorry, but I think it's pretty low when someone gives a company an 'F' for punctuality when they're half an hour late. Their communication was very good. The crew was very conscientious and polite. I mentioned a post on my staircase that I wanted protected from the hose that blows in the insulation into the attic and when I checked back, they had wrapped everything that the hose would rub against with cardboard. Everything was covered with plaster to keep dust down. They took pics before and after and let me view them before I signed off. We're already noticing a huge difference in the comfort level of the second floor. Nice job fellas! And thank you!

The guys did an excellent job, under very tough circumstances (extreme heat). They were here for 8 or 9 hours and were quiet, professional, neat and very organized. I would highly recommend them.

Important to inspect the work to make sure it is complete before the crew leaves because it is hard to get them back.

I used A+. I would grade them 'A's all the way across the board for them.

The sales person was on time, quick and responsive to question. On the day of install the workers called ahead and arrived within 30 minutes of the scheduled time. They quickly went to work and took good care to keep our house clean. They explained what they were doing and verified expectations. At the end of the day they had some issues with their equipment but resolved that and got done close to the time they expected. I highly recommend this company.

A-List keeps pinging me to write this review so going from memory. Company, employees, and quoted cost were all good. The energy audit was a waste of time. The A-List deal was about to expire so I had them come out. The problem we had was the outside temperature was similar to the inside temperature. Their energy audit, being based on the thermal camera, was a waste of time because the temperature differential was not significant enough to display any meaningful result. Would have made the appointment for a better time but the deal was about to expire and they were not interested in extending it. This was a waste of time and $49. However, the employees were great and it seems like a reputable company.

They were on time. The walked around the house and try to find the problem. He was prompt and courteous. If I have an issue I will use them.

I had no problem with the 3 man crew who did the job. What I have a problem with is the sales agent who came to the house. He told me the job with my size attic would take 6 hours from 9-3 with a 3 man crew @ the cost of $2373.80. I felt ok with that I could justify that amount for 6 hours work. What the crew told me was that no way would it take that long 3 hours max start to finish and that they were scheduled for another job after mine. Had I known the job would only take 3 hours would have reconsider the cost in having the job done. I called the office was told someone would call me that day to address my concerns, no one called till next day after I paid in full. The op. mgr. called next day couldn't understand why I was upset if I was happy with the job that was done,and that it only took 3 hours,point is I was told 9-3 I paid for 6 hours work that was what I was quoted, because that's how long the job would take. Was the job rushed I don't know. Operation Manager couldn't see my point that if I had known I was paying $2373.80 for only 3 hours I would not have had the work done.Yes I am happy with the job but feel deceived,that the sales agent told me whatever he could to make the sale. I felt frustration the operation manager told me he hasn't even discussed the matter with the sales agent. I was taking the sales agent at his word in what he is telling me and now I'm not to trust his word that it is subject to interpretation.So it is at a impasse they don't or won't understand my point and that I should just be happy with the job regardless of how much I feel that there was deception on their part. No I would not recommend this company on their word side stepping a customer concerns and frustrations. At no time did they ever ask what can we do to make you happier, to better the situation, got the money and see ya to bad . Customer service totally could be improved.Again the crew was great the men who did the real work, it's not their fault I have problems with management and sales, do I trust their word on the warranty that comes with the job , that if there is a problem in the future it will be taken care of (questionable )after all I am taking the word of their sales agent.

They were really super clean and they did the job in a timely manner. There was nothing that I disliked about them. Their price seems reasonable.

I first met with Jeff Kuhn for an evaluation and assessment of the present attic insulation situation after which he wrote up an estimate for the service he felt I needed. The assessment was an eye-opener as he revealed that I had far less insulation in the attic than I thought I had so it was clear that something needed to be done before winter. The estimate was very detailed as to exactly what would be done and what the costs were. There was no ambiguity at all - it was all very clearly laid out. On installation day, the crew arrived close to the appointed time and briefed me on what they would be doing. All went according to plan and it appears to have been a straight-forward installation. It took about 4 - 4 1/2 hours, just as Jeff had said it would. I was very impressed and pleased with the results which included before and after photos of the amount of insulation they'd installed. The garage and access to the attic was left in the same condition as they'd found it with no insulation remnants or other debris left behind at all. Overall, I would absolutely recommend A+ Insulation to anyone needing insulation work, and I would rate their work an A+ as well!

Everything was done according to the contract and I couldn't be more pleased. They drilled from the outside so I don't have holes in my walls. I can already tell it has made a big difference. Jeff came and bid the job, took all the measurements, used a thermal gun against the walls to show me how cold they were, (although he didn't have to show me! I lived with it) He looked in the attic and the basement and told me what they could do. On the day of service I could not be here so I left the contract with a relative and she said they did all they were supposed to do. I had gotten another bid but it was not nearly as comprehensive and nothing was put in writing. I'm happy with my choice.

The closet is just as cold as it was last winter, average temperature being 49 degrees fahrenheit and that is without the outdoor temps dropping below freezing. I have called regarding this matter 3 times & finally they set an appointment with me to come out & evaluate the situation on 1/16/2015 - far too long to wait. THEN THEY CANCELLED THE VERY DAY of that appointment, promising to reschedule the following week. I have never heard from them to this day (2/4/2015). I told them that I am a patient woman, but that if they didn't address the problem, even if I had to pay more for something they guaranteed would "fix or measurably improve the problem" that I would feel an obligation to other consumers to share my experience. UPDATE 02/12/2105 AFTER posting my review of A+ Insulation here on Angie's List I got a very quick response. Two gentlemen from the company paid me a visit (wish they would have called first to set up the visit) & they took a look, found a few missed areas & told me how sorry they were, that this doesn't usually happen & I believe them. The date was (either the 2nd or 3rd of Feb. 2015) & they asked me if I would be alright with the 12th or 13th of Feb. (the following week). I did get an email from Billy (a manager I believe) asking me for a phone # update & I gave it to him, just as I had given to the kind gents who were here the week before. UPDATE 3/10/2015 A+ has attempted to remedy the situation & been extremely nice to work with, from the office staff to the workers who come to your home. It didn't improve my temperature situation, but they were kind. I really don't know what more to say:)
