Description of Work: Insulation in attic, knee walls, ceiling. | |Company seems to have systemic quality control issues and significant communication/cooperation gaps between labor and management. | |Price was good. Final product was good. Journey to get there: not very good. | |Salesman didn't seem to have a very good grasp of insulation R-value and heat transfer, but I do and the work order was clear, so I went with them. I doubt the salesman had much training, if any. When the labor arrived, they were either ill informed on the job or needed training, not sure which. After the first installation, product was not QA'd by anyone but the labor. They didn't fulfill the work order, so I called and a foreman came out to investigate and was very punctual and polite and identified additional problems that they needed to fix that I hadn't seen. Crew came out and finished the job. The finished product was good. I had to take off two half days to accommodate the installations. | |I will not elaborate on the he said/she said I heard from labor and management (separately), but it made me uneasy about the company and using them again.

Description of Work: A+ Insulation did a great job at installing a vapor barrier in my floor crawl space. They were fast, efficient and friendly. When they came back to finish the job, they hauled away all of the job-site waste and even taped up a ventilation duct for me. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: Used an infrared detector and measured temperatures in my upstairs and attic to determine energy loss and areas of higher temperatures due to inadequate insulation or heat/cooling leaks

Description of Work: They scheduled a walk through immediatly after I paid for the special 500 sq ft for $999. Post walk through they increased the bid and added an additional $500.00 which was 50% up charge of what I already paid $999. They are aware of this issue because they scheduled an appointment to just give me a bid. My crawl space is 20x20 which is was under the 500 sqft which was advertised for $999.00. What they failed to share is they include the concrete wall height in their square footage calculation.

Description of Work: The consultation went well. The guy came out and did an estimate for us. A thorough report was given with details on how much was needed and what it would cost for the two different types of materials they use. Unfortunately we did not end up calling them back because it was out of our price range. Would recommend them based on the day they were at the house. Very professional.

Found areas where we could improve efficiency -- thermal scan / pictures tell quite-a-lot. |Kevin recommended 2 packages that could improve our insulation and reduce heating / cooling losses. |Cost of inspection credited to cost of selected package. |Highly recommended.

Description of Work: They blew insulation into my attic. I was very impressed with their level of professionalism. A couple of days later, when I switched on a light switch, the power went out for an entire floor. Not knowing if it was related to insulation, I called an electrician and ran up a $414.00 bill. They discovered the company had stapled one of the wires which caused a direct short and loss of power. The Company did return to my house to inspect the issue and confirmed there was an issue. After a couple of weeks, I received a refund for the $414.00. My only negative comment is that even have sending pictures and a copy of my bill, it took at least two to receive a check; during those weeks, I was obviously uncertain if the amount would be refunded which obviously caused me frustration and concern.

Description of Work: They were very prompt in coming to give an estimate. They came back to do the work very professionally. They arrived on time and cleaned up afterward. We would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Kevin was great and gave me some great info to think about and how to help my home. We have the estimate but have not decided on what we are going to do just yet.

Description of Work: Kevin was very professional, he called to confirm our appointment the day before & he called the day of to tell us he was on his way. We explained we had just bought the home and had absolutely no idea as to what had been done during the construction, he listen to our concerns and got right to business.. He went through our new home room by room showing us what his trained eye was seeing. Explaining details as to what he would recommend we improve on as well as what he felt we could wait and see on. I appreciated the fact he was honest in his assessment. There were things that could of been improved on he himself said it would not give us much of a savings therefore we could wait and concentrate on the other improvements more pressing and getting the bigger return for our bucks$ | |The next day we received an email of his detailed assessment. He broke it down providing a cost for each of the line items which we appreciated. He offered solutions where we were sure there wasn't much we could do given the vaulted ceilings structure and etc.. | |Although we haven't yet decided on what all we want to do, we are sure that we will be using A+ for all our needs.
