A+ Insulation

My experience was just fine. There was a little delay in scheduling the appointment and I had to call them but they accommodated to me. The technician was knowledgeable and gave a good presentation. They showed me illustrations of where the air is coming from the vents. After talking with another company, I may not use A+ Insulation in the future.

This company has been amazing from start to finish. The salesman came out and honestly advised me on what would be best for my home, rather than what would make him the most. There was never any pressure or sales tactics. They had a binder with pictures and copies of certifications and insurance, which was comforting. As I looked through the binder, I noticed a fireplace picture and read and asked about the fireplace balloon. As they explained what it was, I sold myself on the product. They sell through educating and letting people make their own decisions. The 3 man team that did the install were timely, friendly, professional, clean and fast. They put down plastic before they began, removed all the old debris that was in the attic, answered all my questions, and tolerated my frequent check-ins. They cleaned up all their mess and checked to make sure that they did a satisfactory job before leaving. It was an amazing experience from start to finish.

Primarily it worked out OK. I interviewed several companies and they were knowledgeable about what I was looking for. We discussed several different options and then I selected a specific option of what I wanted done. It was not what they originally had recommended. They really wanted to sell me a more expensive package, but we agreed upon a lesser cost package. The $49 of the deal was an analysis and then I ended up purchasing the installation for the house. I was looking to find out what insulation I needed in terms of my attic. They did an analysis and then I got a bid from them, along with a couple of other people, and then I worked with them in terms of the bid.

They did a good job. I had some issues with one aspect of the service that they provided, but everything else they did like they promised to do. They did more than what the Big Deal was for. I would use them again in the future.

The crew that came in was very polite, friendly, and professional. They got right to the job. They worked very well. UPDATE: A+ Insulation is correct! We did have a new furnace installed around the same time frame and the installation installed afterwards. The insulation job went fine and the workers as described above. The only issue was that the whole house fan intake vent was covered by the insulation during the initial installation. They were called out to fix the problem and they did so. We are very happy with the work now and upgraded the rating to an "A".

They came out when they were supposed to, and they were very professional. They showed me everything they were going to do and went and did it.

We were concerned that our child's closet required additional insulation due to the difference in temperature from her bedroom. The sales rep spent a good amount of time looking in the attic above the bedroom and the garage. He also used a thermal device to assist with his diagnosis. In the end, the rep decided that no action was the best action. He suggested that we leave the door to the closet open allowing better air flow. I was impressed that the company rep suggested a no cost option as the best option. We would definitely use them again.

They removed old insulation and other debris from the crawl space and spray foamed/insulated the walls of the crawl space and put down a plastic (?) covering over the dirt floor. I have not personally inspected it yet, but they took pictures to show me what they did. They were prompt, polite, really nice young men. The estimate was exactly what they charged, and the estimated services were exactly what they performed.

The crew showed up on time and were extremely pleasant and knowledgable. They showed great concern for my home in prepping for the project as well as the actual execution. They also uncovered some problem areas with the heating and cooling trunks that were not noticed in the original estimate that they resolved. They reviewed before and after pictures of the work that was done. While it took a lot longer to complete than they thought when they arrived, there were no complaints and they maintained their professionalism throughout. Clean up was excellent. My only disappointment was allowing the large truck to park on my circular driveway, which has corners that are too sharp for that large of a truck to maneuver. Fortunately they missed the sprinkler heads when they cut the corners to enter the drive and again to leave. This is really no fault of theirs... I just want to encourage others to think about this when determining where to have the truck park for easiest access with the insulation hoses. Overall, an excellent experience!

I never received a call from them to schedule the work. I called (15) days later to schedule the work. They advised they were busy and would be calling me to set up the appointment. I waited once again, called back and they said they would follow up with me at a later time. I eventually decided to cancel the deal as a result.

Everyone at A+ was a pleasure to work with, from the very first phone call. Our estimator, Keith Custer, was very knowledgeable, and gave us a good education about insulating. He carefully and patiently explained every aspect of what would be done, and why we should or shouldn't consider various things. The crew was able to come out in a short time, and finished the work in two days. They were quick and thorough, and very, very neat. We had done an energy audit with another company, and Keith explained how that would work with rebates, and told us how to follow up with our auditor. We decided not to insulate our walls, and didn't feel any pressure from the company to do so. Our bid was reasonable compared to other bids we received, as well. I would absolutely recommend A+ Insulation.

com[any provided a knowledgeable and professional sales representative. Bid was detailed and informative. Good communication from their office staff relevant to the work to be preformed. Workmen arrived on time, were careful to protect furnishing in my home, and took many pictures of the work preformed, and explained what was done. When completed, the office emailed me the pictures of the work in the attic for my records, and to verify their work. Would recommend the company.

I am not so pleased. We can not tell any difference in the homes temperature than before. I really don't have much more to say than I'm not satisfied with the outcome.

I am happy with the project. Employee arrived promptly to assess the situation and determine the proper location of the fan. The installation was scheduled -- and since it is installed from the outside, I was told I did not need to be home for the installation. I got a call the night before the scheduled installation saying that there was a high demand for the fans and that the new shipment hadn't arrived yet -- they scheduled another date. On the newly scheduled date, I got a call (I was at work) from the man installing the fan saying that he hadn't brought the proper equipment (his ladder wasn't tall enough to reach the 2nd floor of my house). He returned a separate time with the proper ladder and installed the solar fan. So, although it took numerous trips to install the fan, I was not inconvenienced since my presence was not necessary since work could be done from outside.

They did a nice job; as above. Professional type service, reliable.

It went very well. I was impressed with the thoroughness. We chose to not have the work performed after talking to a friend about the real issue we were having of one room in our house being hot in the summer and cold in the winter along with the length of time it would take to make up the savings of having the work performed versus energy cost. I would recommend A+ insulation to anyone needing insulation work done and we still may use them in the future, just not for this particular project at this time.

Salesman was clean, polite and helpful. Actual workers were clean, polite and efficient.

A+ insulation did a very good job, They were on time and were very thourough with there thermal analysis. They explanined the results on site and answered all questions, Then they provided a report and provided several price options. The pricing was a little outside what we wanted to spend at the time but we may consider hiring them in the future.

All in all, the experience went well. The original day I had scheduled my appointment was brutally hot but the installer did come and make an attempt to go up on the roof to check conditions. He said it was melting his gloves so we decided to reschedule the installation. That was totally fine with me. I felt so bad for him even climbing up on the roof on the original date. The rescheduled date was much better and he was able to complete the job. He did a great job and I was glad to same some money.

I'm glad you asked.. I only paid this company so that I could avoid the time fighting them in the judical system. I would not recommend anyone ever using them unless they video the proposal and have a witness present. This was one of the worst experiences, I've ever had with a contractor. My wife suggested that we bulldoze the home before the remodeling project, and this expericnce made me regret not taking her suggection. The saleman gave all the positive and correct replies to my job requests and agreeded to preform the said work per a signed contract. Something made me want to question him, but I had just had another person whom I questioned their intergity provide a bid. This guy seemed very professional and was aware of industry standards. We agreed upon the services for our home and signed a contract indicating the scope of work to be completed. That's when the fun started. Upon their arrival at the jobsite only half the work to be completd was being done per the contract.. The foam was spread only on specific areas of the roof deck and not along the base of the walls where large gaps were eviedent and present. the solar fan was also insatlled onather side of the home different from where I requested it be. Also, the contract called for them to vent out the bathroom and plumbing vents. . Each time I asked for something to be done per the contract, I was told to call the office. That call was was great, someone their consistenly made excuses for the saleman and denied all responsibilty for the project not being completed per the contract. I really regret having to place this, as most of all my experiences with Angie's list contractor have been excellent. . My hope is that A+ will evaluate thier business practices... Oh, I called Hayes insulation and they completed the job correctly with no problemsir

It was good. There were no additional charges.

They were okay. They spilled some stuff on my floor in my basement. I didn’t like the fact that they were here only for two hours and the guy had to use my toilet. I don’t know how their work was until winter till it gets really cold out and see if there is an improvement in my car place which they insulated. I thought what they proposed was a good idea but I won’t know until winter. They were here right back after couple of days to fix the problem. They were punctual.

It went well. We had a recent roof leak and I was concerned about damage to the attic. He reassured me that everything was fine and verified we had no issues with temperature control. He mentioned a screen that may need to be repaired but that was it. He even tok pictures to show us how good it looked.

For the Big Deal service, they went all throughout the house and he was very thorough and that was great. Therefore, we decided to employ their services, but it took us a long time to decide because there were several options. When we finally decided, they came out and did a great job and they made sure everything was done properly. They accidentally broke a light fixture when they were working in the attic and they replaced it. I thought it was very nice of them. They also cleaned up very well after the job.

It went well. He showed us one small area that had not been insulated, and left his card if we ever wanted to have it done. No pressure.
