John and his daughter were fantastic to work with and the end result is outstanding. John was there start to finish, even met us at the tile store to help us chose the proper materials. The job grew as the previous job wasn't done correctly but they took it in stride and created a fantastic finished product. I want hire anyone else when it comes to tile installation.

Jon was a professional in every sense of the word. He arrived on time and completed the job quickly and to my satisfaction. He was also very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining how and why he was going to do things a certain way. I would certainly recommend him to anyone who is needing tile work done.

I've had a lot of experiences with contractors and most of them were nightmares. This is the reason I went with Angie's List. These guys were the best contractors that I have ever done business with. Very clean, on time and a pleasure to work with. I was having a hard time finding a cabinet that I liked, even contacting custom cabinets makers. Jon and Scott told me about an internet company they use and I found exactly what I wanted. The quality was excellent and delivered on time. Jon even went with me to pick out the tub, toilet, etc. I bought my tile from the company they suggested. Love it. Scott is a master in his field. I trusted him to suggest a pattern for the tile and it beautiful. They are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. They were a pleasure to do business with and I highly recommend them. You will not be sorry.

I've had a number of remodeling contractors do work over the years and have never worked with anyone as good as these guys. They are absolute professionals from start to finish. Jon is great with design support, project planning, and handling the business part while Scott was the perfect person for the job of demo, construction and tile. They were always on time, communicated the details, completed when promised and cleaned up every day. I highly recommend them.

I could not be more pleased with the service. JMS Tile was able to get us a reasonable estimate and work us into the schedule promptly. Both Jon and Scott were incredibly nice people and utmost professionals with helpful suggestions and extraordinary attention to detail. They were patient and helpful with some plumbing work that had done by another provider and needed to be redone. The end product is excellent. I will use them going forward and feel very confident in referring others.

If you are in the market for an experienced, professional and reasonable tile installer, look no further than John and Scott with JMS Tile. We did our homework and interviewed many tile installation companies in the KC area. John did a superb job with going over the specifics of the job and quoting us a fair and reasonable price. He met with us to select materials, and was very patient with our indecisiveness at selecting tile. He gave us expert advice from his many years in the tile business and brought many things to our attention that we had not thought of. However, it wasn't until after Scott started that we were truly blown away by this company. Scott did all the demolition and installation of the tile himself. He always showed up on time with a smile and was always happy to be here. He left every evening with his work area cleaned, even though he would turn around and be right back the following morning. He cut all tile outside, going up and down the stairs probably a thousand times a day to eliminate dust in our home. He was the hardest worker I've even seen. I'm not even sure he took a lunch break at times and even worked on Saturdays and Sundays to get the job completed on time. He was meticulous. He definitely takes pride in his work, which is evident in his perfectionism. I would trust no future tile job to anyone else. Thank you for such a wonderful experience, John and Scott.

When bidding the job, Jon gave a good overview on what the job would entail. Explained what tile would work best. We ordered the tile from a company in Independence but they were able to pick it up on the way to the job. Cost of service did not include the cost of tile. Took Scott a day and a half to complete. Installed the tile on the first day, then grouted and calked on the second day. Very pleased with results.

It was awesome. Helped with the design and picking tiles. Gave great advice on the accent colors and style.

JMS Tile is definitely the tile company to do your large job. I needed a bathroom remodel that became pretty involved. Jon explained everything that needed to be done and then quoted a price. JMS is very reasonable and, as I am a perfectionist, can honestly say that the work was done to perfection. If you need suggestions with the process, Jon is happy to make suggestions. I was not sure of the tile I wanted to use and Jon went out of his way to help. Jon and Scott are both very patient and are open for some changes. I had so many changes and did not feel intimidated by asking. If I would text either one, I would get a response immediately. Same for a phone call. Scotts work is impeccable. He had to make many many cuts on stack stone to fit in to the angled, very high ceiling and had to match a pattern for the travertine floor, walls and shower. And, a great job he did on all. Scott always arrived on time. If I didn't get the correct plumbing part, he was very patient until it arrived. When he left at night, the bathroom was in order as he always cleaned up. I am so glad I chose JMS Tile. I couldn't be more happy with the outcome of my bath remodel. Many thanks to Jon and Scott.

Called 3 times on different days, and emailed them through Angie's List. No response what so ever. If they don't want the business, they should at least have the courtesy to respond and say so. Big waste of time.

We needed to update the plumbing in one bath in our 1927 Brookside home. Unfortunately, to remove the old shower plumbing, it was necessary to remove the original tile, which was installed over a mud bed of 1-inch plus thick concrete. When giving me the estimate, Jon explained exactly what the job would entail. He gave me ideas about types of tile to use to best appeal to today's buyers and even made sure I got the correct discount on materials from the supplier I used. He gave me two possible start dates, one earlier in case materials on his current job were delayed due to customer changes. When those changes caused the delay, Jon notified me immediately to let me know Scott would be starting the following week. Scott arrived on time every day, taking very few breaks. The demolition in this bath was very heavy work and slow going. He had to painstakingly remove the tile and concrete, being careful not to damage the lathe-and-plaster walls. This was dirty work but he kept the work area closed off to minimize dust in the house. Scott then did a beautiful job of installing new subway tile, a polished-glass trim strip, and marble flooring. There were many cuts and his precision and careful work made our bathroom beautiful. Scott's work is top-notch; it would please the most demanding perfectionist. In fact, when we move to our new home (another older home), we will eventually have to have tile replaced in a bath there and we will not consider having anyone else do the work. I would trust Jon and Scott with any type of tile work. If they can do such a beautiful job on a 1927 bath with all its difficulties, they can do a beautiful job on any bath!

Jon and Scott were easy to work with. The job was relatively extensive with several days of old tile removal and working around other scheduled contractors. Scott was punctual and everything was very neat with little clean-up afterwards. Both Jon and Scott had great ideas related to the lay-out of the tile(s) we chose, and the shower looks quite stunning.

It went great and they did a beautiful job. Before they started the job Jon gave me a list of contacts to use for tile, shower doors & hardware which was quite useful. They were very good at problem solving on the fly ( the bathroom was an awkward space ). They were great about working around my schedule. We plan on using them for our master bath later this year

Jon and Scott delivered as promised. Jon bids the jobs and handles the business dealings while Scott does most of the work. Both gentlemen were very nice and very easy to deal with overall. We purchased the tile through a reputable tile shop and because we used JMS we obtained a very good discount on the materials. Jon was finishing up another job before he could start ours and he kept in touch with us beforehand and started on the day he promised he would. They do one job at a time and worked exclusively on our job until it was complete. They take a lot of pride in their work and made sure everything was just right. Scott is a very hard worker and a very nice fellow. They did the job in 3 weeks as promised. They are careful with the furniture and our belongings when they have to move them. Overall we are extremely pleased with the work. These guys are good honest men that do beautiful work. We would use them again with no hesitation we highly recommend them.

Jon & Scott were great to work with. We purchased the tile and supplies from a store that they had an account with (which provided some discount). They picked everything up and delivered it to our home for installation. They had great ideas and put in some fine detailing that we hadn't considered. Although Jon was knowledgeable about the project and easy to work with, Scott was the primary installer of the tile and impressed us with his work ethic. Scott worked with seemingly few breaks and usually worked eight hour days or more on some days. Overall, the project was well done. However, one issue that had to be addressed after the installation, regarded the sealing of the tile and grout. Unfortunately, sealing wasn't included in the bid and after our attempt to seal it, we ended up with water marks appearing in the marble floor (caused by grout water). Better direction/communication by JMS may have averted the additional work that needed to be completed to remove the water marks from the marble floor.

I called and left a message that I would like an estimate on some work. Never heard back.

The assessor arrived on time and performed a very professional and thorough evaluation of the problems with my shower - including catching installation errors I had not. The estimator exhibited excellent knowledge of materials and installation techniques. When I'm able to replace my shower, JMS will be my contractor of choice.

I left a detailed message about my project of putting down ceramic tile in my bathroom along with my name and number. I never received a phone call back.

After initual assesment and price quote, job started in 3 weeks after selecting tile from tile store with JMS tile discount. Work started on monday and was completed on friday of same week. One installer, in by 8 out by 4 and even got along with my dog. Next project with these people will be tile floors in both bathrooms.

I was renovating a house for re-sale and contacted JMS for an estimate to re-tile one of the bathrooms. Jon provided estimates for both with and without materials. Since I had a specific tile in mind, I purchased all the materials separately and contracted JMS to perform the required demo work and installation. Scott performed the work and did an excellent job. I was so pleased with the workmanship that I plan to use JMS to renovate 2 bathrooms in my current residence.

This is an excellent company. Jon and Scott did a fabulous job and we could not be happier with the finished project. They were both very professional and pleasant to work with. We were very indecisive about what we wanted to do with our bathroom other than agreeing we needed to eliminate our bathroom's 80s decor. Jon is very creative and met us at the tile shop to walk us through some options and help us choose the tile and sinks. We very much appreciated his help. One thing that sets this company apart from a lot of other tile companies we have dealt with is that they do the plumbing work themselves. This is such a nice benefit as it keeps the project moving forward without having work stoppages waiting to coordinate with a plumber's schedule. We would highly recommend this company.
