We have just completed our first major renovation of the main living area of our early 1980s ranch home. We chose Terravest based on their rapid response to our initial inquiry and examples of their previous work on Houzz and their online site. We found J. and Christine easy to work with during the whole process. They took our vision and made it a reality. J brought his invaluable years of experience to our project and patiently explained when what we wanted was unrealistic or unwise. J brought top-notch craftsmen to our project. It was obvious that he had good long-term work relationships with each. Our project finished on time and J was attentive to it’s daily progress. He kept us informed on status of work and follow up with the trades’ progress He gave helpful advice and guidance around many aspects of our renovation. When we were not sure how certain aspects might fit together, he made open-ended suggestions and then patiently listened to our feedback. Our home renovation turned our better than we could have imagined and we couldn’t be happier. We look forward to working with Terravest on future renovations.

Really enjoyed working with J. and Terravest. Terravest remodeled my entire basement (approx. 1,000sqft). Added a master bedroom with walk-in closet and master bath. Also added a half bath and game room. J. was very patient with me as I made several changes to the layout during the construction. We ran into some challenges like you would expect when working with a 50+ year old house. J. was always very good and explaining alternate solutions, and he always tried to keep the additional costs to a minimum. I would gladly choose Terravest Custom Homes for my next project.

They were very professional and I really appreciated the thorough communication! They were extremely helpful and the bathroom ended up looking gorgeous!

We had Terravest remodel our kitchen, full bathroom, and downstairs, as well as replace all of our upstairs windows and our front doorway, as four separate projects. The company performs quality work at a reasonable price. We enjoyed working with the owners and their employees and those with whom the company contracts.

J. was great to work with, only a few issues with the painting but he resolved most of those issues. Great communication and we're likely to use J. for more projects at our house.

We are so happy with our kitchen reno. J. did an excellent job working with us and our old 1927 house. He was responsive to our questions and concerns; when he says he's available 24/7, it's true. We will hire him again for our next project.

J. is absolutely amazing. look no further. absolutely unbelievable. Our home had been destroyed by a dishwasher malfunction (kitchen, & main level living room, basement living room, office, and one bedroom down there....basically, all the living spaces in our house. We had nowhere to gather as a family. it was terrible). We had been discussing plans to repair and do a bit of remodeling while we were at it with another contractor who drug us along for months, all the while, we were living in what felt like a construction zone... wooden subfloors (I can't tell you about the splinters!!!) and bare concrete, torn out drywall, etc. Then I found J. Stewart here on Home Advisor. I contacted him on a Sunday, and I think he texted me back in about an hour. From there, the process really got rolling and things finally started to happen. All the plans were drawn up and submitted to me on time, J. communicated with me every step of the way, gave me REALLY good, honest, trustworthy advice, and ultimately, the whole job was finished about 2 weeks AHEAD of schedule!!! I could write a book about how amazing J. is. AND, all of his subcontractors that he had in to work on my house also had great things to say about him, and I think that is a big thing. He treats EVERYONE with respect and courtesy. I would tell anyone and everyone I know to hire J, no other interviews, no other bids, no messing around.

J. Stewart is extremely professional and attentive to detail. He organized our job in such a way that took our interests into account in all ways. He is an excellent listener. He and those who worked with him always made me feel as if I could raise concerns and/or questions even when I was not quite sure how to phrase them! I recommend Terravest in the strongest terms.
