I worked out the basic structural work with the remodeler, who suggested I then consult with L Marie Interior Design as to the details. I met with owner Lauren and asked for help selecting paint colors, flooring, wall tile, counters, lighting and sink fixtures. I told her what styles I like and what my budget restrictions were. She spent about an hour taking notes and asking questions. A few days later she returned with several samples and ideas, all of which were within the parameters I'd given her. After a little fine tuning, we finalized the choices. Lauren also stopped by several times while the remodel was in progress and assisted with placement of lighting and some other details, When the kitchen was complete and I could see how the flooring, tile, paint and counters all worked together, I was very happy. It was a very appealing combination. The company charges by the hour. When the bill was presented I thought it was fair and I did not suspect that it was"padded" with extra time. The bill was also consistent with the estimate she had given me at the outset. Lauren made a real effort to listen to what I wanted. Her suggestions were aimed at my taste, not necessarily hers. I would use her again.
