Tate and his group are awesome! They troubleshot the issue and returned on two different occasions to find that the liner of our water feature was leaking. On a subsequent visit, they winterized both of our water features. First class company!!!

They just did a super job in a way that I would not have planned or thought. They came up with an idea that was really good. He came out and looked at it and he said to try something. I said okay and they put it together and it's been working fine ever since. The price was fair.

Tate was excellent to work with. While he may be a bit difficult to get ahold of, he keeps his commitments and does an excellent job. We originally hired another company to do some landscaping in our front yard. As part of their work, they created a pond and installed a bubbling rock in the middle of it. Once they started working on it, it was apparent that the task was a bit more involved than they had prepared for. The liner was installed improperly, and no filtration was provided (causing the water to stagnate and become a mosquito breeding ground). Tate quickly diagnosed these issues and gave us a plan to convert the "pond" into a pondless water feature. He proposed trimming and properly sealing the existing liner and adding a pump vault to store the pump. He would then cover the feature with decorative rock. Tate scheduled the work and promptly showed up to perform the task, finishing in 2 days as he said he would. We couldn’t be happier with the work he did and would gladly hire him again if we needed similar work.

Our pond had been leaking for 2 years. We had tried other companies and they had not sealed the leak. Finally I called Hix and Son and they fixed it. It's hard to get people to drive out of town, so I was so impressed with Tate. He fixed it the first time and also gave me a lot of free advice. He also returned to check on it when he was in the area (no charge).

They never did any work; they kept changing the appointment and proved to be unacceptable and unreliable. I would not recommend them. I scheduled the work a week out and they called the day before and left a message on my machine just before they were supposed to come out stating they had another job that ran over and they couldn't come and to call them back if I was interested. I called back and left a message. I didn't hear back for a couple of days. They were totally unreliable. They were totally bogus and unacceptable. I don't know why they even bother to be in business if they can only do one job at a time and they are pretty small things. I didn't even get a quote. I would not recommend them; they can only do harm.

I had been having trouble with my pond for over a year and a half, and nobody was able to figure out what the problem was. This company came out and redid one of the pond areas. They fixed the leak problem, and the work was beautiful.

They are great! The obviously enjoy what they do and are passionate about helping people. They went above and beyond by providing me with some fish, food and plants.

We appreciated Wendy and Tate's help and their recognition of our need to be hands-on in re-building the water garden. They have since followed-up with an end-of-the season phone call to make sure we are doing fine on our own. We appreciate the attention.
