The stove itself is a really nice product and it happens to be the fore model, for a $2000 stove they had it on sale for only $1000. The Sears' rep was really good and nice. I just thought that the price of the warranty was pretty ridiculous.
Description of Work: I went to them to buy an appliance.

I have always been very happy with them. There was a heating element part that was coming and going, not always bad; they actually left us a part with instructions on how to replace it should it ever actually go out as opposed to going through the full service and charge of fixing it while they were here. The price was reasonable.
Description of Work: I have used the services of Sears for appliance repair. We have had several things done by them over the years for our dishwasher and stove in particular.

Their services were good. I had a Genair microwave and oven combinations. The geniuses at Genair put the circuit on the back of the microwave. If it goes you have to pull out the whole unit which weighs about 400 pounds. You would think they would have put the circuit breaker in the front; even if it is behind a door that you have to take off. That's not Sears' faults. When they came out to repair this, I told them that I thought it was a magnatron that was going out, because when you put a cup of water in there and turned it on, it would smell like inuslation. It was indeed the magnatron. The technician told me that he didn't have any magnatrons with him. I asked him if he knew he was going to go and repair a Genair and knew it might be the magnatron, wouldn't you bring the parts with you. He said they don't carry the parts and they would have to order it. It was going to be two weeks for us to be without a microwave. They sent the part directly to me. Then two guys came out and repaired it. None of this was any fault of the repair guys. I can understand that Sears doesn't want to carry parts for all of the different products they have. I just don't see how it is in their interest to send two guys back out, because it would cost them a lot of money. You would think that they would like to make it in one visit and the customer wouldn't have to wait two weeks. The guys that came out were very competent. They did their best. They were functionable. None of what I just described was their fault.
Description of Work: I used Sears to do a repair on a microwave and oven.
