Description of Work: Purchased a Kinetico home water softener and filter system on 1/25/12. Paid in 12 monthly installments. Price included free reinstallation at new residence withing the JF Denney service area. Jared removed the system on 3/30/14 from original residence and reinstalled at new residence. Quality of work was excellent. However, JF Denney, in violation of the terms of the sales agreement and Kansas consumer and contract law, attempted to charge $370 for the service. Thereafter, despite being presented with a copy of the original contract, signed by Kyle, their sales representative, that clearly states that there would be no charge for removal and reinstallation, they began regularly harassing us. | |JF Denney is a prime example of the kind of disingenuous, dishonest enterprise that Angie's List is supposed to help consumers avoid. Their behavior is shameful, and I'm fully ready to litigate with them should they ever attempt to threaten or disparage a customer who paid in full and abided by the terms of a sales agreement.

Description of Work: They came to my rescue when my air conditioner broke this summer and I have used them ever since, mostly for routine maintainence. Description of Work: They changed the pressure relieve valve. That didn't work, so they replaced the entire water heater. He also changed a faucet cartridge in my tub and shower in the main bath.

 + -1 moreThey were professional. They explained everything and made sure I knew what he was doing. They arrived sooner than they were supposed to. They called back within ten minutes.
Description of Work: They had to work on the hot water heater. They had a tube in the cold water pushing it into hot water. They had to replace that due to a bad coil. They replaced spigot.

 + 0 moreI called them for a emergency service call due to a gas leak on Saturday on the after hours message service. They finally called me back on Monday. Spoke to John later that week indicating my dissatisfaction on the lack of timely service responding to my call, and indicated I would like an estimate for a water heater install. Never heard anything back.
Description of Work: Required a weekend emergency service call on a natural gas leak. I was a preferred customer and had a annual service agreement with JF Denney

The job was complex and took many hours because of how the old water heater had been installed in a closet behind a water softner and pressure tank for our well. He helped us save money by giving us time to go buy the water heater and some fittings from Home Depot while he got to old tank out. I think the price was reasonable.

 + -1 moreI had J F Denney come out originally and they said that it wasn't a broken pipe, that I needed to get a foundation company. The utility company told me the same thing, that it wasn't a broken pipe. I had foundation company come out to find the issue and they dug down 5 1/2 feet and found a pipe with a crack in it. I called Denney back and had them come out to fix the pipe. They did excellent work and made sure I was satisfied with what they were doing (they even offered to run the pipe out to the meter and I declined).

WHEN MY GIRL FELL AND PUT A HOLE IN IT I WAS TOLD IT WAS WARRANTY WORK AND IT TOOK 3 MONTHS BEFORE THE REPAIR MAN WAS IN TOWN. I WASN'T TOLD IT WOULD TAKE THIS LONG.
