It was great. He had great ideas. He did a great job. The quality of service was excellent. He answered any questions that we had. He was open and honest. I have recommended him to friends.

Allen Bridges gave his price and told us to get back with him when we decide what we wanted to do. We called him and the next day. He was here getting stated on tearing down the old wall. Allen told us that we needed to move the central Air conditioner. I called a heating and cooling company to get an price to move the Air conditioner and no one showed. He then said he had a man that he works with and ask if we minded if he got him. Billy Owens came with him the very next day and moved our conditioner and hooked it back up. The Job was to be done with in 5 days. It took longer because we got so much rain. That he could not get in the yard for several weeks before he could finish the Job. He keep in contact with us at least once a week or so let us know that he had not forgotten about our wall and yard. He finished with the yard, wall and the Chain link finance Today. We are very pleased with the work.

AA construction did an outstanding job. We are happy with our new breakfast bar. We really like the painting they did. It was a quality job. We like our new carpets. The counter tops look great. They made a lot of recommendations that enhanced the overall project. We like the suggestion of putting lights over the breakfast bar. Our house look like a brand new house now.

Allan and the AA Construction team did a FANTASTIC job! I have worked with numerous companies on construction projects at our 8 locations and have NEVER had a better experience. I wish they worked in the St. Louis market because I would use them here too. Allan and his team provided a great product at a very reasonable price. They completed the project ON TIME and AT BUDGET!! In only 2 weeks they completely transformed our dog wash and grooming areas. They did an amazing job of working with our store team and customers since they were doing all work while the store was open. They cleaned up after themselves multiple times a day and left the area spotless each evening. AA Construction did the work quickly but to a very high standard. They were easy to work with and delivered on everything they promised. When was the last time a contractor did that at your house? I will use AA Construction for any future projects we have in the KC market. I would recommend them to anyone I know.

The project took approximately 2 months. Quality and workmanship was excellent. They included one of a kind details such as curved drywall arch, curved soffit, and recessed lighting as well as a built in pool cue case. Allan and/or Chris were there every day except when waiting on granite. They have a great eye for detail. We are very happy with our basement finish and do not hesitate to recommend AA Construction to others.

AA construction was upfront and honest with price, details of job, and time to complete job. They were always available to talk about any concerns or questions. Very customer friendly.

Took excellent care of the remainder of the home while working on the construction projects. 5. Charged fees that were very reasonable?an excellent cost for the value received I would recommend Allan Bridges of AA Construction very highly, and plan to use them for other projects.

This is by far not the first project that I have had AA Construction do for me and certainly won't be the last! As usual, their work is of top quality, professional, and promptly done. My fence is beautiful and they saw to every little detail. I have nothing but great things to say about Allan, Chris and the rest of the crew.

Found these guys entirely by accident but so glad I did. AA Construction built me a 6' privacy fence and 4' cement retaining wall in 2014. They also designed and hand-built a custom double door for the privacy fence. Excellent work! I had neighbors stopping them and asking for quotes for work for them. I have people stop me on the street at my mail box and ask me who did my fence. It stands out in the neighborhood because it is beautiful. They are currently at my house now remodeling a bathroom, my kitchen, building me a new porch,a custom designed bookcase and fixing numerous small items that needed to be done. Work Ethics - INCREDIBLE. Communication with customer - THE BEST. Someone I can trust - MOST DEFINITELY. Reasonably priced - INDEED. "Yes I can do that for you" - YES, YES, YES. More to come once my current "wish list" is completed. I cannot say enough AWESOME things about this company! AA Construction will be my go-to company for here on out.

I have previously used Allan and Chris and the rest of the crew on two major projects - totally renovating my master bath, and finishing my basement into a playroom for my grandchildren, complete with a stage and stage lights. They did a fantastic job on both projects. My bathroom has been done for a year and a half and still I can't walk into it without just feeling so good about every aspect of it. And the same with my playroom. This project was a bit smaller. My former son-in-law moved into a house nearby that had a washer and dryer in the garage, but the dryer was not vented to the outside. He had to run a flexible vent out a window when he wanted to use the dryer, and as the weather got colder that became more of an issue and threatened to freeze the washer lines.. I made a last minute decision to hire AA Construction to fix this and run a vent for him to the outside as a Christmas present. And by last minute, I mean that I didn't contact Allan until about a week before Christmas to see if there was any chance he could fit it in. But that was no problem - with a couple days left before Christmas Allan and Chris were there, and despite some interesting configurations in the house and up inside the ceiling they quickly got the vent run to the outside and did a very professional job. And at a very reasonable price. I was very pleased and my former son-in-law was thrilled! Kudos to Allan and Chris for the excellent job, and for getting it done so quickly for me. I have a couple other projects coming up and for sure they will be my top choice!

I am extremely happy with the work performed by Allan and his team. He went above and beyond my expectations on many occasions. He was always very professional, prompt and responsive to my needs and concerns. The work performed to repair the wood rot damage was exceptional. They ended up having to tear out and rebuild a corner of my home. In the process they also replaced my back door which required them to remove the wood trim. In order to replace the trim, Chris hand crafted a design to match the 100yr old trim present throughout my home. It turned out amazing. An example of them going above and beyond: While tearing off the corner of the house, they removed a portion of the tile backsplash. They not only took the time to remove this tile from the section of the wall they had to remove but they also proceeded to re-install it on the new wall they put in. Allan was very helpful in offering suggestions for my porch addition while taking into consideration my needs and budget. Again, I'm pleased with the result. The stone work was sub-contracted out to a stone mason. However, I felt comfortable that Allan still took ownership and responsibility for this portion of the project. The stone work turned out very nice as well. As I said, I'm very happy with the work they did and will be using them again when I am ready for my next project.

My ceiling collapsed in my living room and they did an amazing job fixing it! They came on short notice and made my home a top priority. Very professional and polite. They cleaned up after themselves it was like nothing happened. I would most definitely hire again for any remodeling I want done on my home.

We purposely delayed this review, so we could evaluate our results after a harsh winter, a drought, and plenty of rain. After about 9 months since completion, we are very pleased with the work done by AA Construction (Allan Wayne Bridges), Leavenworth, KS. We needed several major repairs, due to settling, which had resulted in a wet basement, cracking drywall on our main level, and two doors that would not open. Allan gave us a reasonable estimate. He began the work in a timely fashion. He has very good folks working for him. Together, they make a terrific team. To correct the damage and effects of the settling, it involved extensive construction. The process required them to dig down approximately 8 feet to provide access for their equipment that drove the piering system down to bedrock and began supporting and lifting the foundation and returning the house and garage to proper position. We were kept informed of progress all through the procedure and were involved in the final settings. Gently, carefully, gradually, a wall with rock facing was raised perfectly - not one crack. The floor is now solid, cracked drywall is now in correct position, counter tops are even, and the doors open perfectly. They removed and replaced our patio bricks (to eliminate the flow of water that had been coming into the house). It was mechanical and manual labor ? all done in a very efficient manner. On various areas around our house, they needed to move and grade dirt to direct water away from the house foundation. This was all done very professionally. Allan and his crew buried drain lines. They dug, prepared, and pounded before laying out a beautiful larger, wider (very slightly-sloped) concrete w/steel rebar sidewalk ? again - to keep water away from the foundation. They kept their work area clean. Powerwashing the house was their last step. We would describe Allan and all his workers as: knowledgeable, talented, confident - providing practical, sensible solutions. They were all professional, efficient, detailed, thorough, precise, accurate, (did it right the first time ? no do-overs necessary) and meticulous. They did an excellent job, using proper equipment. They were all hard workers, dedicated to good performance, personable, enthusiastic, conscientious. Allan?s estimate was reasonable. When they decided a procedure was not required, they reduced the price accordingly. We will contact him when we have future projects.

Scheduled a meeting for an estimate. He called and left a message that he had to cancel and would reschedule. I called him back and said that would be fine. I never heard from him again.

I needed to replace my entry doors, front and back, and had four people out for estimates, including one of the big box retailers. I discovered through the bidding process that I have thicker walls than the standard 4.5? exterior walls. I choose AA Construction because not on did he come in with the lowest bid, but he didn?t expect me to purchase the door/materials that would be necessary to complete the job. He took into consideration my desire for more light and the fact that I have a dog when pricing out doors for the job. Two of the four gentlemen that came out gave me specifications on materials/doors that I would need to purchase myself to accommodate my thicker walls and then never sent an estimate. I can only assume that my 6.5? walls made the job too challenging. I scheduled an installation date with Alan to replace two entry doors and one storm door and have the existing storm door in the front removed and then replaced. I received a call prior to the installation that the back door that he was going to purchase seemed a little flimsy and he felt that I would be happier with a higher end door. That door was more than he budgeted for in the bid, but I received the purchase receipt for the door and paid the difference. Alan and his crew arrived on time, replaced all my doors. They even made sure that the flooring and trim work looked perfect before leaving as well as cleaning up after themselves. I am very impressed with their work and professionalism. And, short of a small additional amount for the door upgrade, they kept right on budget. I am very happy with my new doors and am having Alan and his guys back out to do some wood rot repair work next month. My only negative (and for me its minimal) is that sometimes Alan can be difficult to reach. But unless it?s an emergency, I don?t mind waiting to work with someone that I feel that I can trust to do a good job and give me a fair price for the job.

Be very detailed and specific, and get things in writing. Confirm and document every plan and purchase.

Allan Bridges and his guys started this comprehensive renovation in late October and finished (mostly) by Thanksgiving. There were other contractors/providers involved which slowed certain aspects of the project. (shower glass, granite counters, kitchen cabinet refacing) The time frame did not seem excessively lengthy considering all the renovations going on. Both bathrooms were demo'ed completely with plumbing moved and floorplan changes that opened up the space and made it beautiful. We had general ideas about what we wanted and they had excellent suggestions along the way. It was a pleasure to plan together with such talented craftsmen. This company went above and beyond on just about everything they did. It is obvious that they enjoy what they do and get just as excited as the homeowner about transforming & updating any space. We will definitely hire them again for other projects.

Allan was full of ideas when he came out, which was wonderful for us, just what we wanted. Chris, the person doing the woodworking on the built-in bookcase and fireplace mantel, did an outstanding job. We were extremely pleased with the outcome for this and would recommend AA Construction for work of this type in the future. There were, however, several issues that made us very unhappy. Early on in the job we had rented a dumpster for our use (not for the contractors). Allan was asked directly and very specifically not to put his trash concrete pieces into this dumpster as we were paying by the weight. We left the house to run errands that day and when we returned, Allan had indeed put his concrete pieces into the dumpster in spite of our wishes. We were new to working with contractors, and what we found out was that "contractor grade" means cheapest possible grade. We therefore elected to upgrade several items, which correspondingly increased our costs. The problem here was not having a meeting of the minds on the quality of the items we would be using. The flooring was a total failure and Allan ended up not doing the flooring. We had done research on the flooring and decided on what we wanted well over a month before the floor was due to go in. I sent Allan a PDF file with all the specifications to the flooring, asking him if this would work for him. He said no problem, and we verified the quantity needed. I ordered the vinyl tiles and the glue and Allan picked them up from the store. The flooring was to go over a cement basement. The cement had some cracks in it and, because it was a basement, was not totally level, but was not outrageously uneven either. The day the flooring was to go in, Allan made a remark to us that they could go ahead and put the flooring in, but it would not look good, the tiles would not line up, and if they went ahead and did the flooring, it would not be up to his standards. He was questioned on what we could do to fix the issues and we were told there was nothing that could be done to make the flooring look nice, that we should have used a different type flooring. Allan insisted that on cement you should use free-floating laminate sheeting. All our research said to use vinyl tiles glued down on cement. Allan said he called several subcontractors and no one would touch our vinyl tiles. I called the store where I purchased the tiles and revisited the specifications. They confirmed that I was correct in my understanding, so I engaged them to install the floor. The installers spent some time repairing the cracks and laying down preparation for the tiles. The floor came out beautifully, all lined up and even. Allan insists that he was doing us a favor by letting us know the floor would look bad and that he could have just done it anyway and not said anything. I think it is clear here that the problem was that Allan and/or his subcontractors did not know the proper flooring to use on concrete, nor did they know how to properly lay the tiles to line them up. If there was some expectation on Allan's part that he could lay a floor down on concrete without preparing the surface, I think that again points out to lack of knowledge. Allan says he is not a floor person and he told us he was using a subcontractor. We have no problem with that, but Allan was unable to fulfill his contract and provide a subcontractor who knew how to and was willing to lay our floor. Plus, you don't wait until the day of installation to have these discussions. If I was rating AA Construction solely on the flooring, I would give them an F all the way around. We were extremely unhappy and upset. Another issue we had was I specifically requested a sink faucet with only one temperature control lever and not one with two handles. Guess what I got? Yes, the two handles. Paint job was only fair. There were spots that got no paint at all and some that needed two coats.

The sidewalk was very lengthy, extending across the front of the house, around the side and to the back door. The patio was incorporated into the sidewalk at the front of the house, with a inclined stoop to the front door. It was essential that the grading of the sidewalk and inclined stoop conform to ADA requirements. The contractor came on time and performed the work to our satisfaction. We are very pleased with the results.

The team was able to start 2 days earlier than originally planned and completed the job in a week. My husband had been working out of state while this work was being done. The workers did a great job walking through the step by step process with me. They even went so far as to take pictures every day so I can send to husband. The workers were extremely polite and respectful. I trusted them with access to my home while I was at work. They cleaned up their work area each day before they left. I very much appreciated the way they treated me and my home. I had come home from work on the last day the final concrete was poured and was blown away at how nice the driveway, stairs, and porch looked. The team got real creative in the way they laid the concrete near the bottom of the driveway as well as near the stairway entryway. I love the work that AA Construction had did. When my husband returned home he was very excited at the finished product. We both love the work AA Construction had done and we will Definitely use AA Construction for future projects. We will recommend them to all our friends and neighbors! Thank you AA Construction! We love our new driveway, stairs and especially the porch.

This is actually the third job I have had them perform and as usual, they did an excellent job. I should have wrote this review earlier, and I apologize to Allan and Chris. I should have shown the same professionalism they gave me on this job. I had two small rooms in my finished basement that I wanted converted to one large room for my wife's crafting. Allan gave me a reasonable estimate and I agreed, they started the next day and were completed by the end of the week, just like he estimated. They even went to great lengths to match the existing carpet. They rewired some of the outlets and did a great job of matching and painting my walls and ceiling. I was worried at first, that if they didn't match, I would have to pay extra to have the whole room repainted versus the area being worked on. Same with the carpet. But as true to their word, they matched the paint and the carpet and kept the cost at a minimum. I like having them work in my home, they are extremely courteous and professional. Its almost like having family work on your projects and treat each project as if they were working on their own homes. I am a retired 1SG and my expectations are pretty high, and they have always met those expectations. I had no cable outlets in either of those rooms, and my cable provider told me that since this is an enclosed basement, they saw no way to have a coaxial cable running to those rooms, I asked Allan and Chris if they could do it and they did and did a great job. I contacted my cable provider and they came in and were now able to hook cable in that room. They were impressed and so was I. Thanks again AA Construction. I will be contacting you in the future.

I just bought a house. The house needs some work. I called AA Construction on Monday seeking an estimate. The house needs to have its bathroom redone as well as other work. Some structural work is needed under the bathroom, work is needed on a plaster ceiling in one room in addition to other work. I left my name and phone number on AA Constructions message machine telling them what work was needed and that I was seeking an estimate. My call was not returned. I called them again on Wednesday, again telling them about the work that needed to be done, leaving my name and number again. This call was also not returned .

Contractor came out looked over the project and gave an estimate by email a couple of days later. The estimate didn't give much detail, so we decided not to go with the contractor.

AA Construction did very good quality work and it was a reasonable charge.

It went great, they did an excellent job. They did it in a timely fashion, just like they said they were going to do, I’m more than satisfied.
